Unclean - the rooms when we arrived had not been properly cleaned from the last people staying there. There was muck all over. It seemed as though the maids couldn’t be bothered in what they were doing. After talking to a few more families they experienced the same thing. Insects - there were ants everywhere it seemed as though it could of been controlled easily, but instead it was ignored by the hotel. In our room we found multiple creepy crawlies, when going to the food area it was extremely off putting how many bugs were about. Staff - the staff were great at first but didn’t have one care after we brought our complaints to them. We were told they are “working on it”. How ever after reading other reviews I find people have had this problem time and time again. Food - nothing but avoid, even the standard food which is hard to get wrong like chips and nuggets were disgusting. We ended up eating out every night instead. Breakfast was always swimming in oil. Nothing was fresh, also no catering to kids on the breakfast. Quick note also the cereal was off tasting and when asked to be replaced we were told it would be, went down the next morning to the exact same one. Pool and facilities - pool was cold most days we went in. Facilities lacked everything. There was no character. The pool how ever was the best part of the holiday. But once again didn’t seem to be maintained. Overall opinion - avoid at all costs I paid £400 for nothing. I have to say this is the worst holiday I have ever been on. I’ve been to some rough places before and have had better times. There is a reason this place is so badly reviewed. Please don’t waste your money and go somewhere more up market for the same price. 0/10…
Come and rate this place for yourself. Myself and two friends have just come back from 4 days all inclusive. We have all had the BEST time. Large clean apartment. The most comfortable bed ive slept in, on holiday!! Restaurant was bright, clean and food fresh and plenty to choose from. They had only two pools open due to numbers staying here (covid related i suspect) all staff were helpful. Plenty of bars, restaurants and burger king. 2 mins walk. Large spa shop onsite. Beach is walking distance 25 mins walk but worth it.
Visited here for the 2nd time in September, previously visited in 2016 and always said I would go back when I had children of my own as we loved it! On arriving the hotel seemed really run down compared to how it looked before and the rivers that ran through the complex were stinking, but it was late and dark. Checked in and went to our room which wasn’t in the jet 2 buildings which is what we had booked, but it had been upgraded from our previous stay and seemed pretty nice! We arrived late so missed breakfast the next morning but went to the snack bar and the hot dogs, burgers & fries were that cold and hard they weren’t even edible. Couldn’t get a drink from the self serve bars because they were swarming with wasps because they obviously didn’t clean the spillages! Several of the swimming pools we went to had algae and dead flies in them and clearly hadn’t had any filters on for some time. We went to the restaurant/buffet on the first night and walked in and walked straight back out as it all looked like the same inedible slop and people were grabbing at it with their hands like a complete free for all for people that had never been fed and the whole 2 seconds we were in there a poor lady fell on the floor that clearly hadn’t been checked because the legs snapped clean off the chair when she sat down . Later on that evening when we were heading back to the entertainment after going off the complex completely for tea, we seen rats all by the restaurant and in the river opposite and near the outdoor entertainment so after that we refused completely to even try any more food at the complex! We did find some lovely restaurants just outside though! And if your hoping for some sleep then just don’t bother going, we had my autistic 2 year old son with us and people were just completely ridiculous, partying all night on a family complex. Several times we rang reception, who the first time were great and sent security who told them to be quiet. However, this was the same carry on every single night. 1 night resulting in continuously ringing reception for them to tell us that they didn’t know where the security was (this went on for several hours!) and in the end the receptionist came himself! And the noise still continued all night & in the end he told us he didn’t know where security was and to ring the police! A family member had to go up at 4AM in the morning because it had been going on all night and reception were putting the phone down, so he took it into his own hands to go and tell them to be quiet and try to explain that we had a disabled child with us who couldn’t sleep as reception just didn’t seem to care! Reception did offer to move us rooms after non stop ringing, but we were due to check out the next day and it was now 4 oclock in the morning! One night when we were over at the entertainment someone asked a family member in the toilets if he had any drugs, and we were offered several times by the lucky lucky men did we want to buy any whilst we were by the pool & entertainment with a child, where as our previous visit security stopped them from entering which I guess just sums up what this place really is like and how run down it is now! Overall, this place has ruined my experience of going back to alcudia, a place I previously loved, I definitely won’t be returning, I don’t even know how this place is still open! If I could give it 0 stars then I would!…
The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I understand the nickname HELLVUE!!!!! Disclaimer I did not go on holiday to find fault but it honestly was a terrible experience so I’d hate for someone else to book this hoping for a great holiday only to have a terrible time that’s not worth their money. We got there at around 2am only one member of staff working on the check in/out desk so we stood in a queue for nearly an hour. The staff on the desk were very nice and directed us on a map as to where to go, we originally booked to stay in one of the jet2 buildings. The hotel room was run down dirty and the air conditioner was broken so the room felt like an oven. We tried fixing the air con but it didn’t work, we had to go back to reception stand in another 1 hour queue and thankfully got the room change straight away. This was the only saving grace for the entire holiday as they upgraded the room. The food was terrible, always cold and very odd meat not sure what they were but looked like a giant chicken nugget of salty mystery meat. The restaurant had flies on the food and overall a bad experience especially considering how busy and hectic it was. W ended up eating out even though we paid for all inclusive. The hotel also claims to have loads of different restaurants but it has one that is conjoined to make a large dining area with different themed decor but it is the same bad food served throughout. The only other restaurant on the complex was a black and white restaurant that you paid for regardless of what holiday package you purchased. But at least the food was hot when served in this restaurant. The pools and surrounding area were not the cleanest so avidly avoided them which was a shame, but the local beach was beautiful and made up for this. Not really a fault of the hotel but I thought I’d add as another warning, due to the canals and pond areas the hotel is invested with mosquitoes that leave massive welts on the skin. You could always tell who was staying at hellvue by the amount of massive red bites across their skin. The bug spray at the local shops helped a little bit. Overall I’m shocked jet2 we’re willing to send people here especially at the price they charged, and I would strongly advise anyone not to go.…
Food was not great, the complex was far to big and doesnt look anything like the photos. Any stranger can just walk in the complex, and kept pestering us to buy stuff. Entertainment wasnt great.
The actual complex is huge, we went for 5 days as a little family holiday. Me, hubby youngest son & wife and their daughter our little granddaughter of 2. Apartment big enough, view of pool, lovely and clean, until we all got in! Beds made everyday. Staff all great. Lots of pools, yes there were a huge amount of wasps around drinks machines and your drinks. Mosquitoes are bad, we all came up apart from baby, we were near the lake, so good repellent is advised, I must of got 50 plus bites. Food was to be expected for an all inclusive, a bit repetitive, but for what we paid, fab. Personally would of liked more Spanish food. Lots of food for little one. Beach a 20 min stroll, well worth it, gorgeous. Lots of shops and restaurants. My advise is not to use the buses to Alcudia, complicated and it worked out 6 euros cheaper on the way back in a taxi! Old Town really lovely, but I have never been so wet in my life, poured it down, shame coz we didn't see it at its best. Would I go again, yes definitely, good family atmosphere. …
We booked in for all inclusive for 10 days as a family of 4. The rooms are dirty and the complex itself was scruffy. The pools were disgusting and unsafe, the amount of people cutting themselves getting in and out was crazy! We did not enjoy this complex. We were unable to get sunbeds so we had to park ourselves on the grass with a blanket, the evening entertainment was a joke. The reception was so backed up with complaints that I’m sure the guys working there dreaded coming to work to deal with the volume of complaints coming in. Food was ok, when we did stay at the complex for dinner we always managed to find something to eat. The photos advertised on the website do bot reflect the property. Serious disappointment after spending the amount of money we did on this holiday.
Returned here for the second time after 11 years due to location and facilities, recent reviews left us dreading it but it was nowhere near as bad as some people describe. The complex has definitely improved and the water park at Fedra is an awesome addition that my girl loved, however poolside floors were filthy underfoot with spilt chocolate drinks and debris. Such a shame as this could easily be remedied with a power washer every morning like most other complex’s do. The rooms are much better after the upgrade and have everything u could need including comfy beds, again more attention to details like bathroom sealing/grout would just make it more comfortable. The food hasn’t changed much at all and was perfectly adequate with a fair selection, we always found something to eat. It is a bit like school dinners, I feel like a lot more effort could be made to make meal times a more enjoyable experience. When eating a lamb curry there was bone splinters in it, this should be advertised incase small children are eating it! The entertainment was really poor and the pool tables are broken, again this is an easy fix really. Embarrassingly the worst part about the complex was the British louts on holiday there… screaming across to other buildings from balconies and drunken singing in the wee hours of the morning with their unruly children, total disregard for anyone else, have some respect for other peoples hard earned holidays fgs! All in all for the price we paid during October break we had a really lovely holiday, the location is great for families and there is lots of things to do nearby.…
2nd time we have gone here, 1st time as in 2016 which was nowhere near as good as the second time (Oct2022) A lot of new apartments with modern LEDs and USB connectors. Friendly staff, great location, a short walk to the bars and a little further to the beach. If you like gokarting this is the place to go, the track is within the complex. We will return.
This was my 14th visit and I made my usual request for a high floor studio in Minerva 2 facing the lake, The receptionist advised me that he was allocatiing a studio on the top floor which seemed ideal. I took the 10 minute walk to the room to find that it was actually facing the road and got no sunshine all day!!. I walked back to reception to request an alternative room but apparently none of the 120+ studios in Minverva 2 which face the lake were available!!!! He called in the night manager who said she would upgrade me to a 1 bedroom apartment in Minerva 1 facing the lake. I again took the 10 minute walk to the room which turned out to be a studio not a 1 bedroom apartment, the room was very tired and was next to 3 lift shafts, as can be seen in the photo it only had views of a car park not the lake and was on a low floor with a balcony which was overshadowed by high trees it was also next to the bin storage area which was emptied at around 1am every night. You would have thought things couldn't have got worse, you would be wrong. The next day bus loads of Spanish children arrived and many were allocated into my corridor, the noise and bad behaviour lasted throughout the last 8 days of my holiday. I subsequently found out that the extensive upgrade to the Fedra, Diana, Ceres buildings have relegated the Minerva and Leda buildings from the best on the Bellevue site to the worst. Consequently all bulk group arrivals (Spanish children, teens and pensioners etc) who were previously placed in Fedra are now placed in Minerva 1 & 2. Having checked out the newly upgraded areas I would recommend booking these rooms directly with Blue Bay rather than booking a TUI or Jert2 Minerva / Leda package however do not take the cheaper pay online option as I booked this way prior to Covid and had to cancel and 2.5 years later I am still waiting for a refund!! I would especially recommend the Fedra area which has luxury rooms and a stunning new play area and mini waterpark. I understand that to keep these play areas exclusive to Fedra guesta a special wrist band must be worn.…
