My family and I stayed here twice in 2022 and overall we had really enjoyable stays. The location is great and is one of the reasons we keep returning to this hotel, as we really love the port area of Alcudia. This hotel is just a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. We were half board during our last stay and when travelling with a toddler this worked well for us as it was very family-friendly and there were plenty of different options at breakfast and dinner. It was the classic hotel buffet, very similar to what we have experienced in other 4 star hotels in Spain - It can be a little repetitive and as we love the restaurants in the area, we didn’t have dinner in the hotel every night. The dining area was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did notice that some areas of the hotel could do with an update/refresh, however it wasn’t bad enough to stop us staying here again. We look forward to returning in the future for another great holiday in Mallorca!…
We were on an all-inclusive trip with three adults and two children (grandparents, mother and kids). The hotel has great swimming pools as there is something for everyone. The bubble pool is very popular as kids can keep climbing up it and jumping off for hours. We grandparents enjoyed the adult only pool which has really comfortable beds and was a quiet respite when we wanted it. Also used the indoor spa pool and enjoyed it, though the water could have been warmer! The buffet food had plenty of variety and good quality food, but with just a bit of a problem with some of it not always being hot enough. Our rooms were lovely - one bedroom apartments with plenty of space and spotlessly clean. We were on the 4th floor and looked onto the road at the front of the hotel (we didn't want a pool view). It was so comfortable and we didn't hear any road or traffic noise so if you want a quiet room, this is the sort of one to pick. I had a manicure in the spa salon and it was the best I've ever had. The beautician (who's name unfortunately, I didn't get) did a really thorough job on my nails, cuticles etc and then put on the polish which has lasted nearly a week now. I've seen some reviews complaining about unfriendly staff, but we certainly didn't find that as everyone was friendly and helpful. Genuinely nice people from reception through to bars, restaurants and cleaning. A lovely hotel for families. …
A wonderful place to spend a week with our children. A wide variety of activities on offer, the food was good and plentiful. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed it in October when it was quiet. We had lots of access to all the facilities and there was plenty of opportunity to use them.
Hotel grounds excellent, pools were flawless, but the rooms clean and functional but a little dated - food in the pool bar was very poor, menu choices look great but in reality the food was really awful and came out cold. You also can only order food online by using a QR code to access the menu - there is no paper menu available - not great as we could not get Wi-Fi access by the pool.
The hotel was fine. The pools were great, also the pool whom wasn't heated. The 18+ area was also great because of the fine lounge beds. An importent thing to know is that a lot of restaurants in this town were closed in the end of oktober. So we didn't have mutch choises.
It is a beautiful hotel, in a good location, with nice staff, very clean, good swimming pools. We had a nice and spacious room, a very comfortable bed, three English channels, a very nice bathroom, a nice view from the balcony. For self-catering we would like much better kitchen utensils, pots, a cooker, etc. Everything was very basic. I do not thing you can do any cooking. The food at the bar was expensive (i.e a glass of coke was 4.95). There was only one choice for a coeliac - a pizza. All the rest was great, and we had a wonderful holiday. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to the staff!
I highly recommend it,especially for a family Close to the beach, restaurants, monuments, shops, night entertainments.Hotel as well as the swimming pools require a gentle refreshment - repainting, small repairs. We were there in the last week of the season so it is understandable to us that some things need to be refreshed before the next season.Of course, all this worked as it should and met our expectations.
When arriving we received a nice welcome at reception. Our room was great with lots of space to move around in, it was very clean and had a nice outlook. Staff and cleaning service was very good. Buffet/lounge area: Was comfortable and food was good. All staff were friendly in all areas. However, I feel I wanted to mention the following to the hotel owns as I felt there could be improvements made. The La'cart area: Was not what I was expecting, it was just an extension outside the lounge area over looked by the noisy stage. I felt this area did not provide a quite enjoyable dinner experience which people maybe looking for. Entertainment: Was always on the stage outside, mainly aimed at children. I felt the hotel was missing quality acts/singers, who could have followed on from the children's events which would then provide more evening adult entertainment. Indoor bar/ lounge area: There was no entertainment in this area just the TV high on a wall in the walk way, showing the news. I felt this area could be more inviting, the chairs were all in lines/rows, if they had been placed in individual circles of 4 or 6 chairs around the small tables it would provide a much more welcoming atmosphere for people to enjoy a drink and a chat, a place for those people who did not want to play a quiz or watch sports activates on the stage/screen in the evening. I felt it was a real shame this area was only being used as a walk through to the restaurant and could be so much more. We were the only couple that stayed in there on the two evenings we used it. Unfortunately one of those nights I had to ask a member of staff to stop repeatedly putting her hands into the nut box on the bar and then into her mouth. I felt this was unhygienic and as there were small bowls provided to scoop the nuts out it was unnecessary. Over 18's poor area, Was nice however, I felt the hotel again was missing out here, I felt it was missing a bar area in the surrounding grounds. Instead on one side there was a children's play/sports ground and the other side a shooting game and laundry. Again not really offer a relaxing atmosphere. As you can see from my feedback this hotel was not right for myself and my partner however, on a positive note if you are looking for a family fun holiday where your children can enjoy the pools, play on lots of things then I feel this is a brilliant hotel for you to stay in..…
I spent a week at the Tropic on a cycling holiday with Ciclos Major cycling holidays from 16th to 23rd October, the facilities for a cycling break are superb, good food, comfortable beds and a good secure bike room. They also have a good gym, though I didn't use it, but on a wet day, though we didn't have any, they have a Wahoo Kicker to keep the legs turning. Ciclos Major have a great set up at the hotel, you don't need to take any energy bars, tools etc, as they have qualified mechanics to sort out any issues you may have with your bike. An excellent week in paradise.
Staff were extremely helpful in every way and made travel with a seven month old baby an enjoyable experience. Staff cleaning the rooms and at the pool bar were accommodating and went out of their way to be helpful.
