Hotel location is very good 5min walk to beach, reception and food area staff are friendly, bar area staff are good too but they seem stressed. Food is good and drinks are good. Room is clean and tidy. Swimming area is good. Entertainment needs improvement.

The hotel itself is very basic, tiny rooms, but has got good food to save the deal, and location is also great. All hotel staff we met were good, especcially the girls running the drinks in the evenings. All went well, except for their entertainer Roberto.. The first experience was when he did the water sport or aerobics. I have a 6 year old son, so I couldn’t leave him to swim by himself, thats why i had him hugging in 1 hand, another one i was holding a float needed to exercise. As i was in good mood, i was enjoying my dancing. Roberto then approached me, and told me, Either Do It Properly Or give the Float back. So i gave back the float, and gone out of the water. How rude, even the lady laying next to me, said omg.. no sense of humour, no understanding of what is a child, or family friendliness. And then on the last night before we left, my son was playing pool table game, and i was talking to my friend, Roberto approached me and told me; STOP PLAYING AND BE QUIET !! Bingo is about to start!!! I just still cant believe my ears. Imagine yourself to be told to be quiet on your holidays. Everyone else including us were playing pool all the time in the evenings, the pool table is there to play and i put my money in its machine. If its not allowed to play on bingo nights, there was supposed to be an announcement before. I felt like Roberto is attaching us. I told him, you will loose your job because of your behaviour to us, and he just gushed ‘maybe’ with irony in his face. I then went to complain to reception staff, as there were no-one, no night manager, no security. So mind that if you do have any trouble, you are on your own there as a quest. We left very early the following morning, but the reception staff promised to contact me, which never happened. I also wrote twice to the hotel, just to be ignored, and not even appology!!! Disgusting customer service backing disgusting behaviour of an employee. Thank you to previous reviewer from Madrid, calling the entertainer pitiful, exactly that!! My friend who saw the whole thing, also commented, if you were a man, he would never dear to tell these words to you.. that is unfortunatelly very true. If that or similar happen to anyone else, i suggest to call the police get things sorted, as the hotel will just ignore you.

The hotel is in a great location for the beach, on a quiet street, but also close to shops, restaurants and the Old Town. It has a large bar with plenty of room to sit inside or outside on a nice garden terrace. We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious and modern. The only down side to the room was a sliding glass door on the bathroom which was plain weird and not conducive to privacy. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful but unfortunately, twice during our stay, we had the over-enthusiastic house-keeping staff knock and without waiting, enter our room (once at 9.30am to clean the room, which is far too early). For a 4 star hotel, it would be better if breakfast either finished later than 10am (as you have to get up early every day to make it) or there was a room service option as an alternative. The dinner buffet was ok but some of the items were sometimes cold or lukewarm.

I travelled to this hotel in July and had a brilliant time. Upon returning to the UK I was missing the sun so decided to return 2 weeks later as I work remotely. The staff without a doubt at Bahia are the best I have ever experienced. I booked a one way ticket and couldn’t wait to get back and see everyone there. My first night in Majorca I booked a one nights stay at HM balangurea in Palma but I couldn’t wait to get back to Bahia in Alcudia. As soon as I arrived the reception staff were amazing and it was a delight to see them again! I booked for one week and Bea and the reception team were more then accommodating and so helpful (All of them)! The hotel was much busier but the service remained impeccable. I really enjoyed seeing all the bar staff and made friends with Maria, Barto and Raul who really really looked after me and made me feel like I was part of the team (as I was working on my laptop from the bar Mon - Fri). Honestly, seeing them in the morning just made my day. In the kitchen, I would speak to the chef Juan and Sofia, and Fermin and Eva were also soo nice to me. Although I was alone, I never felt like I was! After my week there I went to stay in Camp De Mar at Grupotel - and while the hotel was great the staff had nothing on Bahia’s team and so after 4 days I went back! For me it was the people that made the place, and once again I was welcomed and felt right back at home!! Bea always said hello to me and checked to see if I was ok and even in the evenings when I was sat watching the entertainment the bar team would always check in on me. I even made friends with Toniet the technician who was so friendly and sweet too! So after another week there I decided to take the ferry over to Menorca and stayed at the Prinsotel - but after 2 days I ended up at Bahia again and stayed for another week. I had a facial and massage with Holly who is just phenomenal at her job. She really relaxes you and makes you feel so comfortable. I genuinely wish she lived in the UK as I would visit her weekly if I could, her service is beyond 5 stars. I then stayed in the Melia in Palma Marina before flying back, and while the hotel was lush - Bahia still remains my top place to stay. I keep saying to them I’ll see them next year, but I think we all know I’ll be back there again soon. Barto, Maria and Raul work so hard to make sure all the guests are relaxed and have an amazing time at the bar every night and I wish them an abundance of gratitude for making my summer one to remember! - Food: good fresh selection every day. The restaurant is very clean and of course the staff our fab. Really comfortable and spacious seating area from outside to indoors. - Location: Fab - 2 minute walk to the beach, close to the bus station and ferry port. Also lots of restaurants and shops close by so feel very safe walking around at night. - Rooms: The only thing I’d say is it could do with a revamp but I didn’t spend too much time in the room so it didn’t bother me, the beds were comfortable and I slept well. - Service: phenomenal!
