Return visit number 8 we think ? Another great stay, great staff wonderful location amazing views, great to see the town developing and another new hotel added to this one. As usual had an annex room with Marina view, rooms are getting tired and are ready for an upgrade removing the sliding doors would help as I can’t see anyone using them. New restaurants have opened which is also good. Has breakfast which is really good value and staff are really helpful. Look forward to returning.
Quite simply the nicest apartments we have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly, the rooms beautifully kept and the view of the marina was well worth paying extra for. Mention has to be made of the Air Conditioning which was the best we has ever experienced. We will be back!
Stayed for a week as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers we booked a one bedroom apartment overlooking the marina and it was fabulous! Clean room, beds were not the comfiest but ok, the balcony was a real treat with 2 loungers and a table for 4. Pool area was lovely and not too busy even though we stayed in the main school holidays. We didn’t eat as there are many fabulous restaurants just over the marina. The only thing I would say is Porto Cristo is not the best if anyone has any mobility issues it’s very hilly! We all had a wonderful time and would definitely return.
The good: A beautiful hotel which is clean and fairly modern with spacious rooms. The Bad: The food. We are still in a process of complaint with Jet2 so at this stage we do not know who is at fault (Jet2 or Hotel). We paid an extra £400 for half board (for two people). Breakfast was fine, with a choice of bacon, eggs, sausages and/or pastries, cereals etc.. Evening Meal – An absolute disgrace! Day 1 – We had a menu which consisted of (starters) Salad with fish (salad leaves with a tinned white cubed fish with no taste). Main Course (I had the fish), which was a small white fish (not fresh from the sea) which you would find from a frozen Tesco meal, this came with rice which also tasted like a microwave minute rice meal, My wife had a pork stew which came on it’s own with no vegetables or other sides (once again it tasted like a microwave meal), Desert was rice pudding or a chocolate mousse (they both arrived in what I would describe as a shot glass and something you would have if you were eating on an aeroplane. 2 spoonfuls and it’s gone. Day2 – Starters was ‘Warm Salad’, we asked the lovely waitress which part was warm? Maybe some chicken or something tasty inside? She had to google it in front of us and showed us a bowl of salad leaves. The other option was Gazpacho, which turned out to be cold tomato soup (this was our fault as we should have googled the name which explains what it is). The 3rd starter choice was ‘Scrambled Eggs’ (yes Scrambled egg for starter)! After trying the cold soup and then looking at the day 2 Main course which consisted of fried pork this time and more white fish (followed by fruit salad for dessert), we politely told the waitress that we wish to leave and cannot cope with this food any more. The following day we complained to the hotel who were apologetic at first, I requested to speak to the manager who was not in this day, I told them that when the manager arrives can he please contact us, another receptionist butted in and said ‘well you get breakfast for half board too’ (the £400 we paid extra for breakfast and dinner).. Day 2 and the manager was still no where to be seen. We are seriously not fussy people and enjoy all kinds of food, and definitely do not expect Gordon Ramsay, however, this food was what I can only describe as basic long haul flight aeroplane food or what they would serve prisoners in UK Prisons. To make matters worse – We had to sit amongst other holiday makers who were paying from what I would call the ‘normal’ menu and eating normal wholesome food, whilst we sat next to them eating this budget diet food. At the same time of requesting to speak to the manager, we also contacted Jet2 multiple times (day 1 we could not get through to them after being on hold for 20 minutes on 3 different occasions) (day 2 we finally go through to the UK help line and the lady said she would pass the info onto our Jet 2 rep, who would contact us) (day 3, no call from the Jet2 rep so we re-logged the request for her to call us) We are back home in the UK now and never received a call. A lovely hotel in a beautiful harbour which was ruined by the food on offer, this resulted in us having to eat out at local restaurants, burger King and Spar Baguettes, costing us an extra £200+ for the week. We really tried for this not to ruin our holiday, however if you are going half board then please be warned!…
Arrived mid afternoon, advised room not quite ready which was fine. Once we had access to the room I was disappointed with the cleanliness which was reported to reception straight away. They said they would send a cleaner immediately. An hour later cleaner still hadn’t arrived, I asked to move rooms which they said wouldn’t be possible until the following day. It actually transpired that we, along with 2 other families, had all been put in the wrong rooms anyway (had booked premium but were in standard) so we were all moved the following day and given complimentary breakfast for the rest of the week by way of any apology. Nice touch! Aside from that the hotel was fab, lovely staff, great bar with great food menu. Pool was really clean and rooms serviced daily We would definitely return although it sounds like room issues are very common so be prepared for that!…
Really enjoyed our stay here, stones throw from the caves of drach (definitely worth a visit) We stayed in a 1 bedroom premium apartment, plenty of space us and our 2 children. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice and a lovely setting. Didn't eat in the restaurant at lunch or evening so cannot comment much. We did get a take-away pizza on our first night and it was terrible. Flat with a very sugarary ketchup like sauce, topped with a non descrip cheese. Minor quibble for the chef to change the pizza recipe. If visiting Porto Cristo you will struggle to beat the quality of this hotel.
We stayed here for one night and the hotel was pretty good. The room was a fine size but there were hairs around the place from the people before us which is a bit yuck. The beds are pretty hard to sleep on. The location is good and they don’t charge you for the pool towels. If you’re staying and using it as an apartment I would advise to get a room with the large terrace. All in all we would recommend this Aparthotel.
Booked a premium room with a sea view. Arrived and was advised our room was no longer available due to a drainage issue (or I suspect overbooked)We were temporarily put in 2 separate rooms, so not an ideal start to a family holiday as we couldn't really unpack and had to sleep in 2 separate rooms. We were given a room the next day. It wasn't the sea view I expected and overlooked the pool as opposed to being directly at the front. It also lacked the large indoor dining table and outdoor sun chair as shown in the photos on the website. We were offered 2 complimentary breakfasts but to be honest, the issues we have faced have really tainted the holiday but we are trying to make the most of it. The chap on reception is really great and trying his best, under the circumstances. Apart from his efforts, the customer service is severely lacking. The pool is good and the water is clean. The tiles do need a clean around the top of the pool. The shower attachment in our room was broken and for some reason only 1 of the beds had a sheet and the other one didn't. Would we return? Porto Cristo is nice but at the moment not so sure. …
Spotless, very friendly and attentive staff. Toni on reception get's 10/10 for us. Location is superb. Recommend you upgrade to marina facing rooms, have stayed in both and this transforms the experience from normal to excellent.
We loved our short stay here and wished we had stayed longer. The Aparthotel is stylishly decorated and the room was spotless. We had booked a breakfast which was so worth it - amazing quality and variety. Parking can be found on the streets nearby - they also offer a private one for a small fee. Great choice on the eastern side of Mallorca!
