DONT pay for breakfast, just don’t do it - it is not worth your money. There are multiple cafes in the area within walking distance with much better food and coffee The good: Great location (we loved cala marçal), rooms were clean and staff was friendly (if you could get a hold of them as there was always a big line at the desk) The bad: our sink looked and felt like it was going to collapse at any minute, there is no hair conditioner provided, they don’t replace your shampoo, soap, or body wash. They also don’t replace your pool towels. The shower temperature constantly fluctuated between very hot and very cold Maybe a good option if you are traveling with kids (we weren’t) and it was an okay option for us since we didn’t spend much time in the hotel and were more interested in exploring the calas within driving range which is what we spent most of our time doing. Would stay here again only if there were no other options in the area…
We really enjoyed our stay in the Cala Marsal Hotel. The room was really clean with towels changed every day. We chose a room with a sea view and got one with a stunning view of the beach over the road. The food is tasty and fresh with lots to choose from. Staff were very friendly and always tried to make sure that guests were happy. We stayed there out of the peak season and there were plenty of sun loungers always available by the pool. Definitely would recommend
This was our third time at Hotel Club Cala Marsal and it did not disappoint. We booked a seventh floor room with stunning views of the beach and harbour. The room was c leaned every day and was spotless. The swimming pool and grounds were well maintained, sun beds were plentiful. The customer service from all the staff was first class. We stayed half board, as it was early in the season we ate in the Steakhouse. The food was buffet style with a good choice and was always hot. We are looking forward to returning for a longer stay in late September.
Hotel Club Cala Marsal is located in a stunning position, overlooking a small but beautiful beach just a few minutes walking from the venue. We booked a suite with a view of the sea and the stunning swimming pool and a spacious terrace. The room was big, comfortable and very clean. Comparing to the common areas of the hotel, it looked like it was recently renovated. The service was impeccable, and the reception team was friendly and provided us with useful information about the area. The breakfast buffet could be improved (it was the only sour note!) , but the nice terrace outside the restaurant makes up for it. Side note: I happened to forget some objects in the room and within a week they sent my belongings back to Switzerland. Quite efficient and kind!
Found this hotel by accident after being let down by holiday lettings as we booked a villa that didn't exist What a superb hotel the views are amazing . The rooms are modern and spotless .the three pools are well maintained and the staff are helpful and friendly especially igerrr the bar man who had us in stitches . The beech is just a short walk away and is also exceptional with an excellent beach bar and restaurant they even have lock boxes on the parasol. We only had the break fast included witch was a buffet and pretty much the same as any 3 or 4 star hotel .but speaking with some other guests this was the best option as drinks were cheap enough and the little restaurants nearby were great .all in all a great stay if i was to make any suggestion it would be more parasol at the pool…
Super hotel at a fantastic location. Very friendly staff. Nice entertainment and nice pools. Renovatie rooms and beach not extremely crowded. Walk to village with nice restaurants and small shops. Not suitable for youngsters
Excellent hotel. We travelled with our 2 kids, 18 and 20, we got 2 rooms. Rooms were spacious and very clean, cleaned daily with fresh towels. Coffee machine in room and mini fridge. Did not eat there, food did look ok, plenty of choice. Pool area great, no matter what time if the day there always seemed to be sun beds available. Staff at reception always friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
We stayed for eight days and initially it was very quiet. We were allocated a room on the fifth floor on the North East side overlooking the service entrance with unspectacular views. This side of the building ensures it enjoys afternoon sun making but also it is incredibly hot. Sitting on the balcony therefore in such heat became prohibitive. Due to the hotel being almost empty meals were initially taken in the Grill Restaraunt downstairs. The food and service was first class, however, later in the week the hotel became busy and the main dining room opened. This resulted in a marked fall in standard and it appeared at times that the kitchen was overwhelmed and had a problem keeping up with demand particularly during the initial rush. We found the reception staff very helpful and the housekeeping at all times was first class. We didn’t see a great deal of the animation staff so can’t comment on the various arranged activities. The swimming pools were excellent; clean and well maintained however, the superb, sandy and shallow Cala Marsal beach is only another two hundred metres walk away and can be somewhat cooler due to the sea breeze. It’s great and safe for children. We stayed full board although other options such as half board and all inclusive are available. Overall, depending on the deals on offer we found this very good value for money. Portocolom is a very quiet resort, the harbour and Old Town a short distance away can be walked to in about twenty minutes although a regular bus service is available from outside the hotel. There are numerous good restaurants located around the harbour / marina area. However if you like shopping, bars, clubs and nightlife this is definitely not the resort for you. Most of the local entertainment is centred around hotels. …
An excellent hotel in the beautiful locality of Cala Marsal which has a stunning safe sandy beach. Facilities at the hotel are excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The food is quite delicious and the hotel very much merits it’s 4 stars
We were put into this hotel as the one we originally book was still been refurbished. We arrived late and check in was simple and efficient also they had prepared some food for us because everything was closed which was really good. The hotel was less than a quarter full 3 floors completely closed. Breakfast was good and plenty of options the evening meal was also good with plenty of options. The pool area’s are very good and clean with nice pools. The entertainment wasn’t the best but they tried. The resort it’s self is very quiet the summer season is just starting and theres very little to do in the place if its entertainment Porta Colum is not good. The beach is 200m away and very nice. There’s a bus stop outside the hotel buses to Cala Dor are regular. I wouldn’t go back to this resort it’s too quiet. …
