Positives first, and there are a few obvious ones. Location is spectacular, with access to a great swimming area, overlooked by a super terrace. And in a very nice residential area. Breakfast ladies were really efficient and front of house staff were obliging. Negatives. Location! (There’s the hotel and that’s it). And the whole place is starting to look very rundown, nothing a good lick of paint wouldn’t sort out. Our room (no 100, overlooking the terrace) was tired, really noisy the night before and first thing in the morning, and overpriced for what it was. Everything worked but it was a bit dingy. Dinner on the terrace was policed by a group of waiters who are so used to a steady flow of customers (back to the few positives) that they couldn’t care less, (they were genuinely awful) and though the meal was excellent, it was eyepoppingly expensive, undoubtedly because the audience is captive. Particularly when you compare it with the standard of accommodation and food in Palma, where competition keeps everyone on their toes, the venue is surprisingly complacent and undoubtedly living off previous reputation. A precarious situation when it’s monied clientele realise the alternative options are way better! As ever the key test is would I return. The answer is yes to walk in the gate to go for a swim!! Overpriced and tired, and living off previous good times and reputation.…
Lovely hotel. We had an enjoyable 4- night stay in the original part of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was way above average for a hotel and it was great to be able to eat outside overlooking the sea.
Nice hotel in wonderful location, good sized rooms, excellent staff and good food. However, a bit isolated and therefore you need a car or taxi to get anywhere No bars, restaurants or shops nearby hence need for transport. Hard work walking due to hills and/ or poor paths. Only issue with the hotel itself is that the shower is fixed and vey high which was disappointing.
Amazing location, superbe private beach and great restaurant. However there is a huge problem with the noise in this hotel. We stayed 5 nights and were woked up at 7am every single day. One morning they came at 6:55 cutting the trees outside, right in front our windows!! We complained but the reception didn’t care at all. Moreover the bedroom’s furniture are quite old (AC was making a lot of noise and hairdryer didn’t work well). No amenities in the room, not even a bottle of water. Finally, the price of the food at the restaurant is very expensive for the service you get.
We had a delightful stay at the Bendinat . The setting is spectacular and the restaurant serves a fresh and varied and interesting menu . I think the staff make the Bendinat they all cannot do enough for you . Notably in the Terrace restaurant every effort was made to give us the best table available every night , Marco’s calm efficiency always with a welcoming smile has to be mentioned. We will be back next year already booked the flights .
Hotel Bendinat is superbly located and if you long for escapism, this is to be recommended. The sea views from the outdoor dining area are sensational and the dining experiences are unforgettable. Every dish is cooked to perfection and presentation and service are of the highest order. The rooms are a very varied but they are quaint, some refurbishment is necessary in the bathrooms together with vigilance about safety due to the uneven steps, handrails would be helpful together with improved lighting in places. The pool is small but this ensures purposeful swimming. It is not suitable for children. There is a relaxed approach towards accessing the sun beds which ensures a polite environment. The foyer has a splendid view; staff need to take care not ‘ hide’ behind computers and be more personable. Also, the display cabinets selling jewellery and other wares look unattractive as you enter and are not necessary. This is a magical hotel and we enjoyed our stay.…
Amazing staff fabulous restaurant very nice hotel We like modern block but various types of rooms and suites breakfast lovely overlooking sea Pool quiet and nice i dont have a bad word about this hotel We stayed many times and will go back sgain
Fantastic hotel. I have stayed regularly over past 20 years. Wonderful rooms, delicious food and very friendly staff. The location by the edge of the sea provides easy access to deep water as well as a small beach. The view from the terrace restaurant are mouthwatering.
Wonderful to be back after last couple of years. This is a small private hotel on the cliff edge with fabulous sea views. Rooms are scattered around the grounds,on a hilly site. The pool is small and deep. Multiple sunbeds throughout the grounds with many on the sea facing rocks. This is certainly not a family hotel. If you want a big pool and pool deck, you will be disappointed. But that is the magic of this Hotel, it is so different from anywhere else. To get to shops and restaurants, you need a cab or a car. The lively Puerto Portals marina is 10 minutes away However the hotel restaurant is a destination in itself. It is usually usually booked 7 nights a week by local residents. The food is outstanding. Rooms are different in size and location, so it is worth emailing reception to discuss what meets your requirements. Don't tell too many people about it!…
Bendinat is at the top of its game. It has the best restaurant in Mallorca at very reasonable prices. Service is first rate. The rooms discrete and very comfortable and it is a gift to have lounger on the beach.
