The rooms were clean and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent. The beach was fine for early morning swim, also daytime swim. The service on the terrasse was excellent too. Over all a good stay at
We spent 10 days here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was varied and of really good quality. The staff in the restaurant, bar and room cleaning were so friendly and attentive making our holiday a real pleasure. The aircon was excellent. We booked Dinner bed and breakfast and would definitely book again. The only complaint would be that the beds and pillows were very firm. Fortunately we travelled with our own pillows and the hotel supplied mattress toppers to try and make the beds a little softer, which helped a lot.
We have been amazingly happy with this hotel. We were faced with a last minute change of hotel as ours cancelled on us 12 hours before our flight. Needless to say, this was stressful and many of the hotels offered in replacement were in busy areas and few blocks from the beaches.... However, I think we got lucky, as this place is fantastic. It is relatively quiet, beautiful area, right on the beach, which is fantstic, and 3 minute walk across the beach to shops and town. Paguera is lovely, everything you need from holiday shops for nicknacks and gifts, lots of excursions available for boat trips etc. Buffet food for breakfast and dinner has been lovley. Children treated like princes and princesses. Hotel is spotless, well appointed and the staff are amongst the friendliest, happiest and politest you could hope to encounter. Even when busy, they take the time to say hello and especially to the kids. There was an amazing strawberry cake one evening, and the chef made time to allow kids to have a photo and then gave them extra decorations along with thier slice! The lady on the front desk even walked us to our room on arrival. First class service all round. We will be returning for sure 😀…
Weather a 7. Hotelroom nice with good bed and great view! (not on poolsite) Beach by hotel. Village 5 minuten walking. Friendly employees. We had a room on the same floor as reception, bar, etc. In our room you hear nothing! In the kitchen one below they start working at 4.00 am. You hear the foodcars rolling over the kitchenfloor. Renovation resort in front of hotel. Less noice, was no problem.
We stayed at this hotel in February with half board included, We loved everything about this hotel, friendly and helpful staff, relaxing bar and lounge area. Really beautiful grounds with private access to a walkway directly down to the beach less than five minutes walking where we found some lovely bars and restaurants. The center of town is only 10 minutes walk. Rooms were really comfortable and clean. Breakfast and dinner had a fantastic variety, and the desserts were amazing, best apple crumple I’ve ever had in Spain. Only thing we found confusing was drinks at dinner, lady in the restaurant told us wine was included with our package but when we checked out we were charged for or dinner wine, we were also charged for our water that they gave us in a glass refillable bottle that you can refill throughout your stay in reception, which we loved so probably just paying for the bottle in case not returned but be aware about the wine, We loved the hotel and will definitely stay there again when we return to Mallorca.…
I booked a stay at Lido Park for a group of 8 of us to cycle for 4 days. The hotel and staff were great and I have no complaints on that respect. On returning and receiving my credit card statement the hotel have charged me twice for the stay so I am currently £1500 out of pocket. I have contacted the hotel by email and the booking.com app but so far complete silence. Today I have had to escalate this with booking.com to try and obtain my refund for me which they are chasing. So whilst we had a great time at the hotel the aftercare for the overpayment has been so far none existent. Hopefully a refund does come but so far the hotel have not even had the decency to come back to me. Not sure we will return to this hotel again.
Considering what everyone is going through with Covid, I cannot applaud the staff enough with their help, assistance &courteous behaver, Excellent! The Hotel is superb, bit of a struggle for someone with difficulty walking, as their are steps leading down to the beach, also would not recommend for children, as the hotel is catered more for couples. Restaurant is very good with an excellent choice. Definitely will be revisiting.
Great location with wonderful views and steps directly to the beach. Great selection for breakfast. Everything was spotlessly clean. Room was good size with good facilities. Staff were very friendly helpful and professional. Nice to be able to shower in the spa area before leaving for the airport on the last day.
LOCATION: Located on top of a rock between two wonderful beaches, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Just a few minutes walk (via steep stairs from the garden to the promenade, or through the lobby via the quiet road) from plenty of restaurants, bars and the main shopping area - the "Bulevar". Easily accessable by car, plenty of parking spaces in the streets near the hotel. Also perfectly reachable from the airport by bus transfer (around 30 minutes with no traffic). The hotel is also just around the corner from the bus stops "La Romana" and "Tora" - offering bus connections to Port Andratx, Palma and the airport - the possibility to use the public bus with your bank card makes it very easy to travel around with public transport. The location of the hotel in the south west of the island is perfect, if you like to hike or bike. HOTEL: At the first glance the hotel looks like a typical huge mass tourism resort from the 1970s. We were not sure, if we would really like it when we booked the hotel. But the minute we arrived at the hotel, we knew, our worries were unfounded. Despite the size and the age the hotel looks well maintained and is not dated at all. If you're not a person who gives bad ratings because a tile in the garden is damaged or the paint on the outside wall in the corner is not 100% perfect, you will feel very comfortable in the hotel. The hotel has a wonderful terraced garden around the pool with plenty of space for sun beds in the shade. Sunbeds can be reserved for a fee, but there is always plenty of available sunbeds (atleast in September), which are free. The hotel offers the typical amenities, which you would expect from a hotel like this, inlcuding a small gym, spa, a store and the possibility to book trips, bikes and cars in the hotel. The two open air terraces at the restaurant are just perfect for a relaxing breakfast or dinner. The hotel has a special pricing policy - it is charging for certain things like a safe (we have never paid for a safe anywhere), pool towel rental or reserving certain sun beds. It might seem strange at first, but we didn't mind this approach of the hotel to minimize the price of a hotel room and to charge extra for things, if you need them. We knew what to expect before we booked the hotel, so it wasn't something that bothered us. It should also be mentioned that the hotel has a well thought out hygiene concept throughout the property. I would say the overwhelming majority of the guests is German speaking (Germans, Austrians, Swiss), but we also heard French, Italian, some English, Dutch, some Scandinavian languages and others in the hotel. The majority of guests during our stay in September was over 50, but there were also some younger couples, solo travelers and a few families with babies. ROOM: We had a standard room and we were perfectly happy with it. The design is modern, the size is great. We really like the bathroom, the walk in shower is awesome. Everything is really clean. Every room has a great balcony with two chairs and a table. We had the chance to stay in a room on the second floor facing the pool and later on the fifth floor facing the other side and both rooms had magnificent views (thanks again to the wonderful Alejandro at the reception for fullfilling our request at the check in). The bed is comfortable, the air con works well. The small fridge in the room is really useful for cold drinks. STAFF: The staff is the main reason, why this was a memorable stay. Everybody is extremly friendly and helpful. It seems, most of the staff is quite fluent not only in English or German but also often in French or Italian. The staff is always very professional, from the receptionist, to the room cleaner or the waiter in the restaurant. It has always been a pleasure to watch the well trained staff and their guest-oriented and highly efficient way of working. To us this was the most valuable experience during our stay at Lido Park. BREAKFAST/DINNER: Before we booked, our biggest concern was the quality of food in the hotel. We were not sure, what to expect from a 4 star tourist hotel on a Spanish island. But we quickly found out, that there was no reason to be concerned. Both, the breakfast and the dinner, offer a wide variety of food - from local to international. The buffets in the morning and in the evening always looked inviting. Even though some of the dishes were less good (for us), than others, there was always a wide variety of great food available for every taste. We stayed at the Lido Park for 10 nights and we always found something new at the buffet, it was never boring. The delicious olives, the amazing variety of really tasty fruits and some pretty nice deserts were just the cherry on the cake. The coffee in the morning was great and the drink prices for dinner were reasonable. The restaurant is - as expected for a hotel like Lido Park - quite big, and it can get very busy during certain times. You can reserve a table for your entire stay free of charge, or you can eat on one of the two terraces without a reservation (first come first serve). We only ate once inside - there was plenty of tables available even at peak times. For us eating inside had a touch of buffet on a cruise ship, which is not bad as we love cruises, but it was so much more relaxing to eat outside on the terrace. And of course the staff working in the restaurant was amazing. Everybody was highly attentive. The service was on par with a 5 star hotel. We really enjoyed our time in the morning and the evening at the restaurant terrace. CONCLUSION: We decided to book a Mallorca holiday only due to the pandemic - we usually prefer long distance holidays away from mass tourism. We were not sure, what to expect from a big tourist hotel on the Spanish holiday island no. 1. All we wanted was just a relaxing time in a nice hotel with good food, quality time at the pool and the beach, and good access to the hiking trails in the south west of Mallorca. And that's what we got. In fact, it was such a relaxing holiday, that we decided to book again at the Lido Park for next May. We can't wait to return.…
