3rd stay here. So much quieter than any other accommodation as just a few minutes walk from the bars and shops. Immaculately clean, great shows, large balcony. Friendly helpful owners. Pretty surroundings. Local beaches are beautiful. Quick taxi transfer from Palma Airport which Jaimie will happily organise.

Well our 2nd year back to these beautiful apartments and the experience was as good as the first time. As stated on other reviews there are rules but that is just like every hotel you visit and in reference to the owners it's about mutual respect they are extremely hard working and helpful. These apartments are in a residential area and therefore noise has to be kept to a minimum which is why it is so relaxing. The reason we returned this year was because we felt so safe last year, the owners make an effort with your children, which is why it is ideal for young families. Apartments are very spacious and immaculate with the surroundings, gardens etc well kept and pretty. Already booked for next year and can't wait!

Atalya Bosques apartments are simply just perfect. Small friendly family run apartments with a personal feel. The apartments themselves are huge with a big balcony/terrace area. It is very quiet as is positioned in a residential area so the bar closes at seven which is perfect if you have small children. Jaimie and Maria are lovely people and are so welcoming. The pool area is quiet and relaxing with a bar/snacks/ice creams available. A short walk into the town with loads of places to eat. Look forward to visiting again.

The room was clean and the other families were very friendly.
We found this family run business to be very warm and welcoming at first.
The son and mother of this family were helpful and polite to us.

Sadly, the owner was not!

We are a quiet family with young children and understand why its important to follow safety rules and regulations. Adding extra rules on a daily basis for "some" holiday makers to follow becomes confusing.
We go on holiday to relax and enjoy the local culture.
The area is beautiful and the local people are usually very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately, the owner became so invasive and critical it bacame impossible to relax around the pool.
A variety of things began to happen and on our second evening the male owner even entered our appartment and began "tell us off", like naughty children. He stated that he was the owner and as such, we need to do "what we were told"?

I couldnt believe what was happening. We do not come on holiday to be spoken to in such an unkind manor. Especially in the middle of a family meal! We had done nothing and couldn't understand what he was talking about?
When we asked him to leave our apartment, he got very unpleasant and told us, as he was the owner we should do what we were told!
My children became very upset and distressed at this point which upset my husband and I.
I didn't want to return to the apartments after this happened and became very upset with the constant fear of confrontation. My husband reassured me it would not happen again.

We did not enjoy our stay in the appartments after that. Everything we did seamed to be a problem to him. The lack of air conditioning and the fact my children became covered in mosquito bites made things very difficult.

The shops and resturants are excellent and child friendly

We were a party of 2 families of 2 adults and 2 teenagers in each & chose this hotel because of the supposedly good reviews saying how friendly the owner & his wife were etc but we were not aware the owner was a Spanish Basil Fawlty. All I can say is that we must have been staying in the wrong hotel because we found them anything but friendly and welcoming. Our friends a family of 5 with 3 kids under 8 had already been in this hotel for a week and had also had problems with the owner being rude to them as well.

On arrival our friends met us in reception. We were all excited and glad to see each other after a long journey but the owners' wife seemed to have a meltdown about us being there and started arguing with her son in Spanish and he basically told her he would check us all in. Then the owner came out and asked who were the fathers of our 2 families so I indicated myself and my friend. He then called us over and these are his words almost exactly "Now listen to me you are here for 2 weeks and I am your best friend but if you make a noise, cause any trouble or do anything I have to come down, call the police and have you all thrown out." This was our supposedly warm welcome within 5 mins of arrival!!!

Things didn't improve from this point onwards. The owner had a big issue with people opening his fridge or chest freezer as I found out when I took a nanosecond longer than he felt I needed to while getting a can of sprite. He came up and proceeded to give me a full lecture on how to choose my drink looking through the fridge window saying look "open close open close" very animatedly. He also made a point every time I went to get a drink of coffee or soft drink of reminding me that this wasn't Magaluf which I found very irritating because I never have or ever will be going to Magaluf but he obviously had me typecast.

He told my wife off for leaving the balcony light on overnight even though we slept in the back bedroom. He also told a little girl off for washing her goggles under the shower at the end of the pool. I can understand the rule for no bombing in the pool which was quite small but the kids weren't even allowed to just jump from the side so were absolutely bored stiff. We tended to stay out of the hotel quite a lot because of the owner and his wife's attitude. One day we came back after being at the beach all day and my youngest son wanted an ice cream but when he took the wrapper off it all fell apart and came off the stick but when my wife pointed this out to the owner he started having a go at her about people not closing the freezer so my wife pointed out to him that we had been out all day and it wasn't our fault.

Now we come to the bar food. I never saw any menu in the 2 weeks we were there but then the choice was pretty limited i.e. hot dogs, burgers, chips and bit of salad but don't complain if the burgers are pink and undercooked because the owner told our friends " No complaints" when their daughters burger was almost raw. The chips were ok but then it's quite difficult to mess up cooking chips..

The other thing we didn't like was the owner & his mates drinking at the bar all day speaking in Spanish and we are sure they were talking about us and other guests. I spoke to a lady who said to me she found it quite unnerving going to the bar with lots of guys sitting on bar stools speaking in Spanish and looking at her while she was being served. Another couple were so disappointed with the attitude towards them and other guests they were trying to get flights home early but couldn't.

I would say the hotel itself was actually nice but the lack of aircon was a real problem because the rooms were stifling hot. The rooms and balconies were very spacious and There were enough rules and regulations plastered everywhere from reception to the bar area to cover the Albert Hall. I would say that if you want to sit around doing absolutely nothing then this hotel is ok but definitively not for families especially with teenagers because they will be bored stiff.

The real problem isn't the hotel but the owners attitude to some of their guests including us and this spoilt what should have been a nice holiday. We personally found the owner & his wife quite rude but their son was ok with us. We obviously will not be returning to this hotel.

Worst apartment I have ever stayed at due to the owners, however what a bloody experience. On arrival some of our party were taken to one side and threatened to call the police if we made any noise. As well as this, as we arrived, the family who own the apartments were having an argument. Very welcoming.

The owners to these apartments make up as many rules as they like, whenever they please, such as no diving in the pool became, no bombing, which then even became no jumping in the pool - this doesn't say family friendly to me, especially as we had little children in our party. Myself, being 18 and my sister, 14 were playing with an inflatable in the pool, as it was empty so we thought surely this wouldn't be a problem. Again we were shouted at with the man saying "this is for little children, you will break this" despite the fact it was our own inflatable.

There is also food sold at the bar, so I had asked for a burger. The burger was pink throughout when I had received it, so I had asked if it could be cooked for a bit longer. Again the burger came out raw, so again I said this still isn't cooked and I received my
money back. The day following a friend of mine ordered a burger, and this one was cooked, so I then asked for a burger and explained that I am ordering this as my friends burger was cooked throughout, then I had been shouted at to not complain about raw burgers, and every time we went to order anything the man would go on and on about no complaining and throwing his hands in the air shouting.

The wife to this man is very sarcastic making remarks saying bravo every time one of the 8 years olds with us were to jump in the pool, this also followed by the man coming out and screaming at us saying we had no respect.

The 'in crowd' who sit in the bar all day with the owners talking in Spanish made it very clear were are talking about us making everyone in our party feel uncomfortable.

Too much miscellaneous decor in the room, no air con, not allowed to bring in your own food to eat by the pool however they stop serving the food at the bar at whatever time the owners please.

Dear Izzymoore, We like to respect our clients and we like some respect for them too, Guests who had come more than 20 years and still coming to our house, they know the rules and we have any problem with them. We have our rules for the safety of everybody, if you do not want to follow the rules maybe you choose wrong the area of Mallorca for your holidays, there are better options for jumping and braking the rules. Paguera is a nice and quiet town, and our hotel is perfect for relaxing having a nice time in the pool and bar with friends and family, enjoying the sun of Mallorca. We are sorry if you and your family felt uncomfortable, but our rules are for the good coexistence of all our guests. Kind regards.

We stayed here for a week at the of july with my partner and 2 children (age 7 and 8). When the bus dropped us off, we had to walk up a road to get to the apartments because it wasnt wide enough to get the bus through. We were greeted by the owner and his wife who were lovely. Throughout the stay the were helpful with advice and any questions that needed answering.
The apartment was very clean and very spacious. We had a double balcony with 2 sundbeds on one side and a sofa and 2 chairs on the other side. The decor was a bit dated but not shabby at all. The kitchen was great apart from having no grill/oven. We found this out AFTER we had bought frozen pizzas lol. The bathroom was big and fully functional. The downside is the beds were VERY uncomfortable. They were very hard and lumpy and I even tried flipping the mattress and putting the sunbed thin foam cover over the top. So this caused lack of sleep and a very bad back. Also, there was no air con in the apartment or fans. They dont have a fan rental service there and there was a heatwave there so was even warmer. This added to the lack of sleep!
The pool are was nice and clean. There is a bar next to the pool and WC. There are notices EVERYWHERE telling you what to do and what not to do. Excited to get in the pool after a long journery, we didnt see the sign near the pool saying not to come into the bar wet. As I was ordering drinks, my sun came out of the pool to tell me he wanted a drink (so he was wet). The next thing, the owner (male) shouts at my son and tells him off. Then lectured me and showing me the sign. This put me off him for the rest of the holiday. We learnt, from our stay, that his wife was more child friendly and relaxed whereas her husband was pretty grumpy and not as child friendly. So this put me on edge for the rest of the stay and felt I had reign my children in constantly. Furthermore, he told my son of for jumping in the pool and splashing.
Apart from this we had a great time lol. It is only a short walk from the beach and shops. For shopping, use the shop nearer the beach because its cheaper. Happy to answer any questions.

We have just returned from 2 weeks in an apartment at Atalaya Bosque. It is the friendliest and most welcoming place we have ever stayed. The owner Jaimie and his wife Maria are exceptionally welcoming and could not do enough for us. The apartments are spacious and very clean with everything in them you could possibly need with a few little homely extras. There were plenty of clean towels and even tea towels provided in the well equipped kitchen area. The Pool area is very clean and comfortable and a small pool bar provided refreshments and snacks. No request was too much trouble ever ! The whole building was very clean and comfortable. This is a genuine family run accomodation which had a really tranquil and happy feel. It is our first visit but we will definitely be returning!!

We have just returned from a week here and had a wonderful time. The apartments are basic but clean. The large balconies are great. Lovely pool area which our 2 kids loved. English TV channels is a bonus (especially CBeebies!). Up a hill out of the main resort so nice and quiet at night. The best thing about staying here is the owner Jaime who is so welcoming. Thanks for a great stay.

We have just spent 10 days here. We have previously stayed at the Don Antonio up the road on several occasions, but they have put their prices up out of reach. We had seen the building before and read the reviews here and it looked like a good option. I could not believe the warm welcome when we arrived, it was only about 10.30am and we had expected to wait for the apartment to be ready, no it was cleaned and sorted for our arrival, I had emailed ahead asking for a top floor ( to minimise noise) and Jaime had placed us immediately below the family apartment, so according to him we would know who to complain about ! ( we soon got used to his deadpan sense of humour ). The apartment was very light and spacious, the largest we have ever stayed in with a very large bathroom. It was well equipped, even down to tea towels. ( and a kettle). The terrace was superb, large and equipped with a 3 piece suite of garden furniture and 2 padded sunbeds. Jaime & Maria are delightful and friendly hosts, OK he has a few rules posted up, but they only refer to things that any thoughtful person would not do anyway. For such a small block there is also a good pool bar and a small supermarket, well supplied and very reasonably priced ( better than some of the town shops). All in all we had a great holiday and a good laugh with the owners. I would recommend the apartments for a quiet, calm break

If you walk out of the entrance from the apartment and turn right then take the first left and walk along the road and around the bend through an area with lots of trees you will come to a fork in the road. Take the right fork and follow on down keeping left to the big roundabout at the bottom. Here is the start of the main boulevard. Turn right at the pharmacy and walk down to the local bar with the coca cola seats outside called Poppins, here you can get a great coffee, beer, snacks or whatever. If you need a taxi back to the apartment the rank is straight across the road in front of the supermarket Casa Pepe. Tuesday is market day in Paguera all along this street and in front of Poppins, hope this helps.
