I was surprised to see some negative reviews on here as it's not reflected of our experience or what I saw during our stay here.
The hotel is brilliant, the staff really go out their way to make sure you're having a good time and have everything you need.
The facilities are clean and modern. The location won't be for everyone but it ticked the boxes we wanted. If you're put off by the walk into the town there's an hourly shuttle bus in the day and the staff have no issue ringing a taxi if required. Getting a taxi back from Peguera is easy and only around 5euro.
Thanks to Alberto who went out his way on an occasion when we couldn't get a taxi to take us in the shuttle to the town. It's little touches like that that can really make a stay.
Big shout out to the kitchen staff for being accommodating with food allergies and explaining the ingredients in items.
Overall I'd have no issues in recommending this hotel and thank everyone for their superb hospitality.

After staying in Barcelona and Valencia we decided to stay here in Majorca for 5 days to end our trip. It was exactly what we needed to end a busy city holiday. The location is very picturesque, and it was quiet when we visited so perfect for relaxing.
We didn’t listen to the reviews about booking transfers in advance, wish we had, but on the other hand it wasn’t too bad as we got on the A1 to Palma and then the 102 to Peguera. Costing €8.50 each which is loads cheaper than a transfer or taxi.
When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a nice prosecco and as our room was ready early we didn’t have to wait around.
Most days we took the hotels shuttle down to Peguera where we would buy bottles of water, visit the beach and have dinner in the local restaurants. We would then walk back which would take around half an hour max (didn’t keep an eye on the clock). They did say there are taxis available but we don’t mind walking.
We were breakfast only but there was a great array of buffet breakfast from fruits, cereal, to omelettes and beans. We would eat loads as a late breakfast then eat dinner out in Peguera or Santa Ponca.
During our visit the outdoor pool was too cold but they had an indoor pool which was really pleasant.
From reading reviews we were already aware the price of drinks and food in the hotel were quite high so this is why we would always walk to Peguera as there were lots of shops and restaurants for drinks and snacks.
The hotel was very clean, in a beautiful location and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

From our arrival to departure, we were treated very special.The staff are very pleasant and courteous, nothing is too much for them Our room with a sea view was wonderful and very comfortable. We have been to this hotel twice previously, that's why we decided to book again for two weeks. This time we decided to go B & B, so that we could spend more time visiting local restaurants, the selection of which in Peguera was numerous.. The breakfast at this hotel was excellent, with a huge selection to suit everyone. Omelletes were very good and made to order. Evening meals were very good, but on this occasion we only ate in twice , once on arrival and the night before our departure. The grounds are vast, with two outdoor pools and one indoor pool. There is courtesy bus available to take you on a five minute trip into the town go Peguera. If you prefer to walk it took us about 25/30 minutes to walk into town, giving us a good appetite for our evening meal. We hope to return here again, maybe this year. Well don Hotel Maritim Galatzo.

On arrival given a terrible processed cheap baloney sandwich because the restaurant had closed. The abundance of amazing food on Mallorca tells me the chefs don’t know what they’re doing. Check out Asador Puro Fuego for example for their award winning steak cooked on charcoal. Don’t do the half board, very little choice and low quality, waste of money. The breakfast is also pretty poor. They insist they have to toast your bread because of Covid, the chef burnt mine 5 times. Oh dear!!
Asked to be moved as soon as we arrived because the AC was broken and no double bed. Eventually after negotiating they moved us to a room with functioning AC. It still had two single beds. A couple of days later the room cleaner joined the beds with a double sheet but still had two single duvets! The room is dated, plenty of space. Fridges take a day to cool drinks, no bottle opener or kettle in room.
Mallorca is such a beauty. So many beaches. Such a great coast. The view from the hotel is breath taking. The hotel grounds are impressive. But unfortunately all style over substance. It has potential.
The restaurant managers are obsessed with gloves and sanitiser as a tick box exercise. Very little transparency info about the COVID rules, just the odd random telling off!
We loved having a car to do lots of discovering and pottering about isolated coastal coves and the crazy mountain roads are fun.
Come for the tranquil beauty of Mallorca, don’t come to Maratim Galatzo.

First the good parts:
Corridors to rooms and rooms themselves are freshly decorated and lovely. Balconies have beautiful views overlooking the sea.
Friendly staff are working hard and doing a good job. Some seem to be skilled at dealing with issues and are a credit to the hotel eg Nataly at the pool bar.
The grass area by the pool is almost idyllic with low , chilled music and views across the sea.
However, unfortunately:
There is one pool for the hotel and this is a family pool complete with ball games, inflatables, kids being kids having fun and full to the brim - forget any option to swim as getting past all the people is impossible. The second pool shown in Hilton marketing ( social media reels etc) is ‘nothing to do with Hilton’ apparently and had been rented to the Cotton Club so hotel guests incur the same minimum spend charge of 50€ per person per day as anyone else. In my opinion this was a short sighted venture and this second pool should have been kept as a quieter area for adult guests.
We brought our issues to the attention of a manager who said they would resolve but we heard nothing; we followed up but again heard nothing and essentially paid to go to beach clubs and pool days at other hotels which was expensive and hugely disappointing.
Rooms were very small with no space to swing any kind of cat or be moving about at the same time. No free water was given in rooms with a 4.50€ charge per bottle. We once asked for ice for the room - 7€ to bring this. Prices of food and drinks are premium and similar to that of a luxury hotel which this certainly is not.
Pool staff spend a long time walking round with food orders at the grassy pool area as they can’t find the person due to numbered tables moving; this system isn’t working.
If you are a friend group or couple I wouldn’t even consider this hotel and as a family you will probably need a car. Hilton need to remove the Cotton Club pool pictures from all marketing to be honest as we felt deceived - it is completely false marketing.
I can’t remember when I last felt this dissatisfied at a hotel stay anywhere, let alone In Majorca.

BEWARE,,,,myself and my wife are currently staying at this hotel..we chose this hotel for the amenities described on the website and Gastronomic delights also mentioned on the website but please be aware things are not as they seem, We all know this is a difficult time but what we do expect is openness and transparency. There are no longer 3 restaurants only 1. There is only 1 pool bar open as the lounge bar is also closed as is the a la carte restaurant and the spa and indoor pool, the snooker room and the quiet reading room. They should have been put on the website so the customer can choose to cancel or modify their booking,but we didn’t find out until we got here also Jet2holidays seemed in the dark as well,also may I add we booked an apartsuite room with supposedly sea view - what it should have said is a Restricted sea view as there are 4 huge palm trees in front of us. We tried to move however with no success as they said they were keeping every other room empty for Covid 19, however even this seems to have gone by the way as rooms are filling up next to each other now. However the waiting staff are friendly and the food quite reasonable but please be aware of the situation. We have paid full price for this and certainly not got what we booked via the Jet2holidays website or the hotels own website.

In the same website you could read the other services that are no open. This hotel resort is enormous and super beautiful! The sea and hill views are stunning and it's so well kept. The breakfast buffet was great with gorgeous views again and lots of choice. We stayed in the superior room which had a garden terrace.
Only comment would be to have more water fountains around as sometimes they were empty and buying from reception cost $5!
Taxi into town was $5 or you can book the free shuttle until the afternoon.
Definitely recommend this place! You get way more for your money than expected :)
Good option to rent a car - have this delivered to the hotel if you can as we went into Santa Ponsa to collect (not as nice as Paguera) and spent ages trying to find the place. Vanrell company which the hotel recommends is located on the beach but the map says otherwise so we got very confused!
Only comment would be to have more water fountains around as sometimes they were empty and buying from reception cost $5!

We stayed at this Hilton for 3 nights. Opted for the King suite! The check-in process was very quick and smooth. I was slightly disappointed that we were not complimentarily upgraded as a Gold member, I even had to ask!
This Hilton was huge, there were several buildings. Our room was located in a building which, unfortunately, was so far away from the actual reception area and involved 2 lifts and many stairs and corridors! So please have this in mind if you have mobility issues and/or children.
Everything was clean and pristine and the reception area smelled amazing!
The King suite was very nice with a great balcony overlooking the sea. There is a small kitchenette area so you can also prepare food if you wish and a lounge area. The bed was very comfortable. We did get water bottles in the rooms.
The pool area was very chilled- with sun loungers and a pool bar. The staff were very friendly and spoke English fine. We had drinks there and the burger and fries were delicious. Like most other hotels, you can just charge everything to your room and then sort the bill out at the end.
Room service is available but they charge 75 euro per person for this! I felt this is obviously there to discourage you from getting anything! You can buy food/drink from the vending machine at reception.
The breakfast was just standard with ample seating area. It was very busy from 9.30am onwards and the staff were running around ! Hilton generally do breakfasts well and I think this did fine. Not the best I have had but not the worst. There were stations for cold cuts/pancakes/English breakfast/bread and you can also have some mimosas!
We did trips into the Magaluf area, namely to Beso Beach Club and Nikki Beach Club- highly recommend both of them. I simply went to reception and they booked a taxi for me which arrived literally within 5-10 minutes which was amazing and cost around 14 euro one way. The taxi to the airport cost around 45 euro one way.

Everything was clean and pristine and the reception area smelled amazing!
The King suite was very nice with a great balcony overlooking the sea. There is a small kitchenette area so you can also prepare food if you wish and a lounge area. The bed was very comfortable. We did get water bottles in the rooms.
The pool area was very chilled- with sun loungers and a pool bar. The staff were very friendly and spoke English fine. We had drinks there and the burger and fries were delicious. Like most other hotels, you can just charge everything to your room and then sort the bill out at the end.
Room service is available but they charge 75 euro per person for this! I felt this is obviously there to discourage you from getting anything! You can buy food/drink from the vending machine at reception.
The breakfast was just standard with ample seating area. It was very busy from 9.30am onwards and the staff were running around ! Hilton generally do breakfasts well and I think this did fine. Not the best I have had but not the worst. There were stations for cold cuts/pancakes/English breakfast/bread and you can also have some mimosas!
We did trips into the Magaluf area, namely to Beso Beach Club and Nikki Beach Club- highly recommend both of them. I simply went to reception and they booked a taxi for me which arrived literally within 5-10 minutes which was amazing and cost around 14 euro one way. The taxi to the airport cost around 45 euro one way.

Everything about our stay at the Hilton Mallorca was perfect. The staff were incredibly attentive and we received a warm welcome on arrival. A bonus was that the standard of a variety of languages spoken by the employees was outstanding. Our room was fantastic, modern and clean. The views and surroundings of the hotel were remarkable and made it feel like a very unique stay. I’d highly recommend hiring a car as the hotel is located at the top of a hill, the only plausible walk would be to Peguera but even then it would take a bit of time. I read on other reviews that taxis are possible.
Lidia and Letty (Leticia) at the Paradis Club poolside bar looked after us so well. They were fun, friendly and extremely professional. They spoke English very well and were able to have some jokes and fun with us. They made fantastic cocktails and made everything seem effortless! Food portions at the pool side bar were very big - one dish would typically be enough for 2 people. I think the prices were on par with what you’d expect from a Hilton hotel.
We didn’t get a chance to try the main restaurant but we did go to the Alma bar which had a very pleasant vibe.
I would return to Hilton Mallorca in a heartbeat!

I am writing this as with it being new to Hilton, recently refurbished and only just re opened in July, there are few reviews.
The family 2 bed suite is gorgeous. Brand new, spacious and good showers. I have two slight issues- the second bedroom has a sofa bed. I think they have missed an opportunity to put in twin beds which would work much better for teenagers. Also the balcony only had 2 chairs (but occupancy is for 4) and no loungers.
The breakfast is very good- lots of choice, lots of space.
The pool is lovely as is the pool bar (albeit you pay a premium for food and drink) However there is just one pool. Whilst it never felt overcrowded at all, the hotel was definitely under occupancy so I wonder how it will look next summer.
The Hilton need to remove the photos of the other pool from promotional sites- Booking.com for example. It’s misleading. The other pool has been rented out to the Cotton Club and you can only use it if you pay 50 euros pp and the min age is 10. We went one day as a treat and it’s lovely with fabulous food but I can’t imagine many guests regularly using it.
The Hotel is high up between Peguera (20/25 min walk) and Santa Ponca (longer walk). Taxis were, at times, hard to come by so it is probably best to have a hire car if staying here.
We never ate dinner at the hotel so cannot comment on that save to say it seemed quiet. The restaurant is nicely renovated.
Overall it was a good stay and most staff were very pleasant. It is not a 5 star hotel yet but a solid 4.5.
