We enjoyed our two-week stay here. The transfer was a nightmare and the hotel had changed its name so we weren't sure it was the right place. So a bad start but we warmed to the hotel the longer we stayed and now we just want to be back. Pluses: • The food was higher standard than we've experienced in other four-star hotels on the Med. The restaurants in Paguera are good too. • Cleanliness. No issues. • Friendly staff. Particularly reception. • Comfortable beds. • Location is close to the beach and the main boulevard with all the boutiques and cafes. The walk to the beach isn't the most scenic (but it's a short one). • Despite the relentless heat, the room was well air conditioned. • The indoor pool is good fun (but it's not really a swimming pool). • Good wifi. • Hotel felt well-managed. • The top pool (by the apartments) was quieter and more relaxed than the main pool. Lovely place to while away the day. Minuses: • Pools are a bit on the small side for the volume of guests in August. It seemed to us that the children's pool was very little used and it would have been a better design to have just one big pool with a deep and shallow end. Nice and warm though. • Bar area was charmless, although, in fairness, other guests seemed OK with it. • Rooms aren't all that big. • The entertainment wasn't great. • No character. For example, there are no pictures hanging anywhere which is a bit strange. Emphasis is on function rather than form (but who cares when you just want to chill out in the sun?). Most of the guests are German, with very few Brits. Depending on your viewpoint this could be a plus or a minus.…

It was such a great time in Mar Hotel in Peguera! We had a lot of amazing experiences thanks to the people who work there - staff and aniation team are so friendly and helpful. I really appreciate their hard work! Hotel is located not far away from the beach, main street and bus stop. Food was really tasty, especially indian and american style kitchen. An amazing weekend. Food was awesome and the drinks kept flowing. It was our childs first holiday abroad and it was nice for him to just have free range and we didnt need to say no as everything is available. Cannot wait to return. Lovely holiday, hotel and location.

The incredibly nice and helpful staff is worth mentioning. Good, fresh food. Clean and comfortable room. Nice beach and warm sea within a short walk distance. Promenade, a lot of shops and restaurants outside the hotel. Poor comfort of rest in the crowded pool area.

Just returned from a short break with my husband. Pools Two pools, one near the apartments is quieter. The pool by the apartments could do with a clean, black mould around the edges. Other than that the pools are well maintained, areas disinfected daily. Bars One near the apartments serves beer and soft drinks only. Bar in the main building serves large selection of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks etc. Snacks Only nuts, crisps and sandwiches Restaurant One restaurant, large selection of food, fresh selection of fish and meat cooked to serve. Location Not far from the beach, very short walk. The beach is beautiful. Overall Enjoyable relaxing break. Would visit again. Not many British people, predominately German. Thanks for a great stay xxx

We spent 1 week from 20to27 october in this hotel with forfait breakfast and dinner. +: staff really nice all were really nice with us 🙏 Hotel clean, nice outside smimming pool. Big room, we had one of the of the hotel fuel of light and beautiful view on the sea. - hotel from 90's so they need a restyle (IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A SMIMMING POOL IN THE TOILETTE AFTER THE STORM OF TUESDAY NIGHT) -FOOD: it's the négative point of our stay!! Really poor and not good. A lot of food but 0 quality. They propose zero Spanish kitchen. Only food for german people,90% of the guest of the hotel.. We didnt understand something About our stay: They had not ready the room we booked(seaview ) no problem they switch us after one night. We were alone in the hotel than the 27th october were the cloosing Day of the Hotel, They propose us last 2 nights à dinner really poor, less than all the rest of week. So our check out not a commercial thing. In the end if i have the chance maybe i will come back but just for sleep. …

Six of us stayed at the start of September for 2 nights all inclusive as our flight was cancelled. Excellent hotel, staff very helpful and accommodating. Cannot fault the place. Lovely pools and loads of sunbeds. Food delicious and plenty of variety. Very clean and maid comes every day. The Manager printed off our boarding cards and helped with transport to the airport. Will definitely return hopefully under more pleasant circumstances . Thank you to the Manager and reception staff for being so kind and helping us out in what was a very stressful situation.

We spent two nights at the apartments Sunna Park while waiting for a replacement flight as ours was cancelled. We stayed all inclusive and both the hotel and the staff were outstanding. Excellent food as well. A very very nice experience.

My husband and I were transferred to the Sunna Park as our original hotel was double booked. We were more than delighted for the upgrade to All Inclusive as compensation. The hotel manager and all his staff (cleaners, waiting staff and bar staff) were all very polite, hard working and great at their jobs. The staff all spoke sufficient English to be understood and assist us as necessary. The children's entertainer was always busy keeping the kids occupied. The evening entertainment for the adults was adequate, but not many people stayed about to watch/listen to the singers etc. The pool area was always tidy and we used the sun terrace most days and the parasol was very welcome to provide a bit of shade in the seering heat. The rooms were very clean and tidy, towels changed every day if you wanted. Great to have air conditioning without having to pay separately for it. Food in the restaurant was good and warm and plenty of choice. There weren't many British guests in the hotel when we were there. We would recommend this hotel and would stay in it again. The resort of Paguera was lovely and the only down side was the cycle path to Santa Ponsa was being upgraded when we were there and was not pleasant to use.…
