When first arriving we felt quite disappointed as we were shown to our flat across the road, with a view over the roof tops across the street. We had asked for a pool area view when we booked via Booking.com. This, of course, is not the hotel's fault that Booking.com was not clear about this. After having a chat with the management - and being offered to move to another hotel - we settled for what we had and did have a very good time. The beds were hard and not very comfortable and there is a lively bar just across the street with music and sing-song. However, all "noise" ended around mid-night and the balcony doors and shutters shut most of the noise out. The pool area (in the main hotel) was very nice with a nice cafe and reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and hard working. There was plenty of food at breakfast and dinner but the quality was only average. There was also a (silly) rule that men had to wear long trousers for dinner - which meant that a pair of scruffy jeans would suffice. It is not the kind of place where such a requirement feels needed. There were entertainment put on most nights, which, if they were at your taste, were quite entertaining. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the main street and the beach. So all in all; we had a nice stay.

Fabulous hotel, amazing breakfasts and wonderful swimming pool. We keep going back as we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather be, thank you for always making us feel so welcome! The Nilo is perfectly situated, close to the beach and the town and the rooms and the staff are lovely.

Great facilities didn’t want to leave we had a lovely room with sea views. Bed slightly hard but not a problem and air con perhaps could be a little more powerful but not really an issue. Loved everything about it.

Spotless room, very friendly and helpful staff, and massages to die for... I totally recommend Nilo&Spa for a family vacation. If the weather is not good for sunbathing on the beach, the spa area of the hotel provides a great alternative.

Good pool and spa, great breakfast buffet, clean room with sea view and friendly staff. Parking is a bit diffucult in the streets surrounding the hotel (paid), but there is public parking within 5 minutes walking distance. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, as well as the beach (bust though).

Very average. The location is right in the center of town, about a 5 minute walk up a hill to get to the hotel. So leaving the hotel, 3 minutes to restaurants, shops, and 4 minutes walking to the beach. Add a few minutes getting back since it is uphill. The property itself is well kept and the pool area is nice and quiet. But no ocean views anywhere except from a few of the balconies. A few nights there was entertainment (singer/ musician) which was pleasant but nothing more. 2 flights of stairs to get from street to lobby or there is a stone ramp way if you don’t like stairs. Gym is tiny. Spa looked decent but we didn’t try any treatments. Rooms are small but clean and adequate. Mattresses were a bit firm to my taste. Air conditioner was not up to the task. There is a master switch and everything turns off if you don’t have a key in it. We had to leave a key in it the whole time so the air would run while we were out but still it was way too hot for us most of the time and we slept with just sheets. Limited toiletries provided (shower gel and a bar of soap). No wash clothes, one towel per person. And one pool towel per person. Food was a major let down. We made the mistake of booking 1/2 board. Ended up skipping dinner most nights because it was so bad. Plus concerns for health as everything was a buffet with self service. I would describe dinner as college cafeteria quality, just with nicer table clothes and bus boys. Breakfast was better. If you get down by 9:00 there are good pastries (which run out) and there is sparkling wine to make your own memosa drinks. But again buffet and the health concerns with shared serving utensils, people potentially coughing on the food, etc. fortunately most of the guests are German and their culture seems to respect not being disgusting. If this was in any English speaking country it would be totally gross! Both breakfast and dinner hours are to the moment what is listed. You can’t plan to show up at the end, the food is taken away and the doors locked exactly on time. If you did get the 1/2 board and miss dinner, they will offer you a plate of cold cuts and cheese - who knows how long they have been sitting out at room temp! Gross. When the website says “show cooking” it just means there is a flat top grill. And everything is cooked on the same grill surface, so if you have any fish allergy don’t eat anything. There is free parking a five minute walk away (more hills). Nothing on site, although there is paid street parking (free over night). Staff were fine. Side note: The town of paguera is fun, family friendly, and safe. But I would probably pick another part of the island next time. There is so much to see on Mallorca and all highways leave from Palma so that would be a much more central place to stay even though it seems so close to paguera.

The staff at this hotel were as wonderful as always, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They really make the experience special. The hotel itself is lovely, and the location is perfect with parking available if you have a hire car. The pool and gardens are spectacular, the spa is a real bonus and the breakfasts are delicious.

I have been coming to Grupotel Nilo & Spa for a few years now, and the reason I keep coming back is because it honestly has the friendliest, warmest and most helpful staff I've ever known. The rooms are bright and airy, the gardens are beautiful and the location is perfect. Located just a short stroll away from the main town and the beautiful Playa Palmira. The food is great and Felisa goes above and beyond - making delicious crepes for my niece and the best fried eggs I've ever had. Maty is the one of the loveliest human beings in the world and my 5 y/o niece LOVES her. Ivo is very friendly and helpful and Miguel ia total ray of sunshine. I was also really happy that the Manager was there when I checked out to make sure everything was ok and to say goodbye, and it's the personal touches like this that make Nilo stand out as a hotel. I can't wait to get back and am already planning to return again this year.

The hotel is a little bit uphill from the beach. Parking is not free at the hotel. For this you have to drive about 500 meters further to a parking space. At the pool, the towels would be changed 3 times a week. This did not happen with us due to a lack of clean towels. Furthermore, there are just too few umbrellas at the pool. The staff are very friendly and help where possible. The food is very good. The breakfast includes everything you could wish for. Eggs, bacon and pancakes are freshly baked for you and there is even champagne at breakfast. The food is also very good in the evening. Again, everything is cooked live and there is a wide choice of tasty food at the buffet. They use a theme several times a week to keep the variation in the food high. The rooms are neat and well cleaned. Even a t-shirt that was on the bed was neatly folded by the cleaning lady. The only downside of the room is that the air conditioning on the highest setting is relatively noisy. The area is fantastic for a nice walk in the mountains or to relax on the beach.

Great hotel with unique very relaxed atmosphere. Located just few steps from main street in Paguera, but away enough to provide privacy and peace for your afternoon nap next to the pool. Place where you can enjoy your time with family and Nilo team will look after you. Very good selection of food in the hotel and if you wish to eat outside plenty of restaurants around the corner. Number of guests are returning each year which is proving Nilo hotel is great choice.
