We had carefully been following the changes to the UK Governments traffic light travel list and when Majorca went to Green, we hurriedly booked flights and accommodation.
Imagine how pleased we were to find or apartmet had such treffic views across the bay, with the swimming pool and La Gritta restaurant just below us.
The hotel was clean, the staff extremley friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The accommodation is sighted at the top of a slight hill, but which can be accessed by either the road or the steps up from the beach. It slept three comfortably and we were amazed to find it had two full sized/equipped bathrooms. There was never any falling out when getting ready to out!
It was located within easy reach of the town and the beautiful, well kept beach. We can't wait to go back.....

The Aldea 2 is a lovely place to stay, gorgeous Spanish tiles everywhere and traditional style architecture, a bit more interesting than the white boxes that most hotels appear to be. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and well cared for and the apartments have everything you could need along with amazing views! Miguel in the office was very helpful and everything is in good shape. The pool and terrace are lovely with panoramic views, and the restaurant and bar share the same fabulous location.

There are no negatives to the Aldea 2, just a couple of notes for those planning to book, it is up a hill and there are lots of steps to certain apartments so inform the office before you book so that you can be placed at ground floor if mobility is a problem. The pool goes from 0.85 to 3m deep, so may be an issue for some with small children. My only gripe would be the number of people who ‘reserve’ their sun loungers before sunrise by throwing a towel on them and then not returning until after lunch meaning that the sun lounger cannot be used all morning, I find this behaviour thoughtless and selfish. Maybe a notice to say that towels will be removed when residents are not present would help in future.

A great hotel with lovely views and quick access to the beaches below. The resort is very family friendly with lots of eating out options to suit all, and nice coastal walks to other bays. The bus 103 takes you to Palma, which is beautiful, and if you are planing a day trip to the caves I would suggest taking the bus into Palma and then picking up a trip from there to save time.

Stunning location. The rooms were ideal for two adults and two children plenty of space and more traditional in style. It was very comfortable with two bathrooms and two balconies . The washing machine came in handy as the weather that was forecast was different to what we had packed for ! Cleaned every other day with fresh towels and bedding was changed once during our stay, which was fine for the time of year. There are a lot of steps down to the resort from the accommodation. The bathroom and kitchen areas are a little tired but I think the block opposite was having a refurb so this may be on going. Everything you need for preparing a simple breakfast or lunch. As a family with young children arriving past midnight we would have appreciated a bottle of water or opportunity to buy one at reception. We have not travelled to Majorca for over ten years and we were very impressed by both the accommodation and the resort.

This hotel is an absolute gem, the rooms are decorated to a high standard, the views are spectacular, the staff a very helpful. It is small and quiet but if you want hustle a bustle the beach is a short walk away. Be mindful the hotel is on a hill and there are lots and LOTS of steps to the beach and the main resort. The resort of Peguera is lovely, with a large aray of beachside cafes and restaurants, all reasonably priced too. We will certainly be back to Aldea 2 Cala Fornelles x

Amazing views, superb staff, wonderful food in the restaurant La Gritta.

Honestly the most beautiful place I have stayed ever. We visit Paguera 2 times a year and we have now found our home! If I could buy one of the apartments with a sea view the wow I would. So much so we have booked to go back in 7 weeks!!!!!

It was our (myself, my mother and my 3 years old son) first time travelling to Majorca and this tour was a last minute booking so I did not know what to expect. We arrived to the hotel at 6 PM and it took approx 30 minutes to check in. Not sure why - but still.
Our apartment was on a ground floor with garden view. If you can - do not take it. No sunlight and high humidity. But from the other side we had 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, small kitchen where I could cook and wash machine. Beds are very uncomfortable, so to stay there for a long period would be difficult. Also - they did not change a bedding for 7 days and also did not wash the floor.
Hotel offers very ordinary breakfast, nothing fancy, but everything you need: scrambled eggs, cornflakes, cheese, bread etc..
We had quite unpleasant experience in the room: i turned on the toaster and while putting the toast, got an electrical shock and we were out of the light. They fixed he light, took the toaster away and promised to fix the plug & bring new toaster. After that happens manager talked to me and said it was my fault as apparently it was water on the floor and it was my fault. It was not as we did not have water in the kitchen. Also - I had 3 years old son in the room - so I could only imagine what will happen if he would touch the toaster...
Besides that - hotel offers AMAZING view from the roof top. Blue see, fresh breeze and view on the beach. That view is really amazing for your mindset!!!!
You can use swimming pool only from 9 AM - 7 PM. Afterwards roof top will set-up as restaurant. Nice, but on Satruday it was a birthday party and as 12 AM they were still playing loud music and dancing flamenco.
What I really liked was a hotel guests. Predominantly families with kids who wold like to get rest and peace. I LOVED it!! I felt very, very comfortable in this family environment.
As a summary: it is 237 steps to the beach or you go down / up the road if you want to reach out he main street and beach again. If you have a pram - it will be quite difficult as there are steps. Everywhere! My 3 years old son was quite on the boarder of comfort. So, I would not recommend this hotel for families with kids under 3 years old. Swimming pool will start from 1.40 M - so as a parent of small child you ALWAYS have to be alert.
I would go to this hotel again, but only if I would get room with ocean view not overlooking to the swimming pool and only when my second child is older than 3 years old.
