Hotel Palia Tropico Playa is frequently lauded for its modern amenities, including spotless pools and diverse dining options, though a few guests feel entertainment options are lacking. Its affordability and beachside location earn positive marks, with special mentions of discounts at the beach bar, despite some criticism regarding entertainment and views. The hotel's cleanliness is consistently commended, from the rooms to public areas. While the atmosphere is noted to be clean and contemporary, it is sometimes described as lacking vibrancy. Comfortable rooms with sea views are well-received, albeit with minor drawbacks. The staff's friendliness contributes to an overall pleasant experience, despite occasional service hiccups.

We stayed from 21 to 24 June with my companion
I had made an upgrade request which was accepted upon arrival a very good reception at the reception in French installation in our room seen sea simply beautiful comfortable bedding and very well equipped
We were in all included and did not miss anything drinks or meals so yes indeed they cook meat and fish grill at the last minute on demand but at least it is hot and not stayed in the open air for 30 min as in some establishments or so it is dry and cold
The location is absolutely exceptional the sea has 50m and beautiful walks easy to do as well as many shops bar resto the bus has 100m which allows to visit the island very easily and inexpensive
The pools of the hotel are also very nice
Indeed there are small technical problems but which are settled as soon as the request made do not forget that the opening dates from the beginning of June!
This is not a club but a hotel where it is good to feel calm and calm exactly what we were looking for
We wanted to thank all the staff for their kindness and professionalism
And we will not hesitate to stay again in your establishment if we have the chance to return to your island

Just returned home from a brilliant stay at the Palia Tropico. We were made very welcome by Simon from reception. Our room was on the fifth floor with a fantastic sea view, the location was excellent right across the road from the beach, shops restaurants and bars and bus stop to Palma just a couple minutes walk.We walked into Magaluf not far .We had no issues with the room at all it was exactly what we booked and we were very happy, we had a kettle and a dolce gusto coffee machine with two coffee pods and a bottle of water in the fridge they were not replenished ,the maid done a wonderful job cleaning our room every day. The food was amazing and so much choice hats off to the chef and his team who worked so hard, I have stayed in plenty of four star hotels and the food here has topped them all, waiting staff were very efficient and friendly. Food choice at the snack bar was also very good late breakfasts lunch and crepes in the afternoon you would never go hungry the chef Simone came round with hot rolls at lunch and fruit kebabs always friendly and smiling.Drinks were good as was the self serve which made a difference. All the staff here are on reception team are welcoming and friendly especially Ahmed what a credit to this hotel he is. My only gripes about this hotel was that the entertainment was hit and miss the downstairs outside bar could not be used by all inclusive guests as it was for paying guests only, by which in all respect we have paid already for all inclusive, we felt that we were penalised for being all inclusive and excluded from using this nice bar on the front. I hope that the hotel will consider this in the future as it was pretty much empty most nights which was a shame. The pool bar upstairs was showing Spanish news TV most nights , no music and not enough chairs for everyone to sit some people had to sit on loungers round the pool which wasn't good, but even if you were lucky enough to get a table you were surrounded by people smoking. We like to eat outside the restaurant most nights but people were allowed to smoke at the table at the outside area of the restaurant which is not a very nice eating experience when your getting a mouthful of smoke from the people in front of you, think this needs to be addressed.Pool opens at ten am so there's nobody going down to put their towels on the beds at 6 am which is a good thing, we did not use the adult pool so I cannot comment on that. There are no groups bookings allowed which made this hotel good for couples and families. All in all we had a really good 11 days holiday and will consider coming back next year. well done all

We have recently returned from a week here and we had a lovely time.

The location of the hotel is ideal with the beach right across from hotel and in centre on Palma nova and magaluf about 10-15 minute walk away. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops right on doorstep.

Friendly reception staff who told us everything we needed to know.

Room and bathroom was lovely and had everything we needed and nice new decor. One small gripe is towels could be bigger! So clean and maids done a great job. We realised we could log into our Netflix account towards the last few days of holiday on the smart tv which was good. Air conditioning really effective. We did pay extra for side sea view but in hindsight wouldn't have done this as wasn't a great view, think the full sea views or side rooms facing the pool are better. Bed was so comfy and husband and I both slept really well. Do think safe should be provided free though rather than being charged.

Food was good, staff in restaurant very efficient. Being vegetarian, there wasn't massive amounts to chose from but always found something. The pizza selection and salads were very good.

Drinks were good and liked you could use self service and all branded soft drinks. Could do with a few more cocktail choices but the mojitos were very good! We also did not understand the rule of not being able to take drinks to rooms, lots of people like to have a drink on their balcony and could not see the harm in this. Never had this anywhere else we have been.

The snack bar was a good addition but again would be good if offered some vegetarian options.

Was a shame the entertainment was hit and miss and downstairs bar was hardly ever open. And like others said, shame the front bar is not included within all inclusive as would be nice to sit outside there. There are not enough tables and chairs in the pool side bar for everybody!

We loved the rooftop bar, a nice chilled vibe and was adults only. Always could get a sunbed up there. Again only gripe was that the bar service was very hot and miss, never knew when there would be service so could sometimes go a while without a drink. But very friendly service and such an amazing view. We did say it was just such a shame they are not open a little later rather than 6pm as still very hot! Even if no bar service. This was same at main pool too.

We did sit by the main pool some time and there is some entertainment here but don't think it's really somewhere I would bring children as not too much going on. Nice that there are a few Balinese beds too that were always free. Never a mad rush for sunbeds either like other places we have been which is a nice change.

All areas of the hotel are spotless which is lovely.

Overall a very good hotel and would definitely return, it would just be amazing with a few little tweaks. We still really enjoyed our time here though so thank you to all the hard working staff.

Great hotel wonderful experience from the moment we arrived very friendly informative staff Ahmed always acknowledged you every time he saw you so pleasant . Our suite on the 6th floor was amazing with excellent sea view right to Torranova fabulous at night too wonderful with massive balcony to sit out. And enjoy the view the most amazing bathroom food was excellent and a special mention for Simone at the snack bar what a happy guy he brought snacks round his crepes were delicious nothing too much trouble he is an absolute credit to the hotel which was immaculate and the lifts were so quick never had to wait. The roof top pool was fabulous with very comfy sunloungers and jose making the best moitos and fabulous music at the pools. The Tropico beach bar is not included as we knew before we went but great prices as you get a discount lovely staff we went in most nights . The manager was very visible day and night there would never be any trouble speaking to her if you needed too we didn't have any issue my only comment would be people can smoke everywhere and this isnt nice there should be designated areas not by the pools or snack bar this was the only thing that let it down otherwise it would be 5* would definitely return but don't seem able to book for next year even on their own web page will keep trying

When we arrived, we paid for a room with a safe. When we got to the room there was no safe. I tried to phone reception, but the phone did not work. I went down and was asked to stay in our room until someone would come to install one. A man arrived and after spending an hour going in and out of the room, and trying 2 different safes, he managed to get one working.
We then found that our balcony door would not lock, so we were told to wait in the room again till someone came with a new lock.
The hotel and pool areas were very nice, and the food was very good on some days, but some days not so good
In the evening, the lounge bar was closed unless there was entertainment on, and then the bar would open from 9pm till 11pm, so most nights we had to drink at the pool bar on the first floor. The pool bar only had about a dozen tables with uncomfortable seats, all positioned in a small corner. If there were no seats available, we were told to take our drinks downstairs to the reception area, which was totally unsuitable.
As we were getting picked up at 07.20 when leaving to come home, we asked about getting something for breakfast, as the restaurant did not open till 08.00. We were advised on the day before leaving, that some food would be left out for us, and there would also be a coffee machine on. When we came down at 06.45, the person at reception advised us that the restaurant was locked, and he was told not to let anyone in! He sympathised with us and opened the restaurant for us, but there was no food, and the coffee machine did not work. He took us outside to a patio area and switched on the coffee machine there, which was helpful as at least we got a coffee, but had to buy our breakfast at the airport.
I feel the hotel has opened too soon after the refurbishment, and although the staff were very nice and helpful, we were told different things from different members of staff, so I feel that some training is badly needed, so that the staff know what is going on.

Hi dear Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry for the issues you faced during your stay, especially concerning the breakfast arrangements. We apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the breakfast. We are not sure what went wrong, but under normal circumstances, if you request something for breakfast the night before your departure, we would make arrangements to provide it, especially the coffee machine, as we understand how important coffee is. We deeply regret this oversight and the inconvenience it caused. We also appreciate your positive comments about the hotel and pool areas. We hope you were able to enjoy your vacation despite these issues.

Nice hotel. We were excellently welcomed by Ahmet and that was the beginning of a nice holiday. Pros: very neat, sympathetic service, plenty of sunbeds / umbrellas by the pool (no towels provided), tasty soft drinks / smoothies. And the location, which is top notch. With a view of the sea and the boulevard, middle shops, bars .... Negatives: desserts could be more varied. The food could be warmer. In the shower please have a hanging for shower items and a handle and instead of a stool a chair in the room. Should we go back? Absolutely, one tries very hard to make the guests comfortable, we had a nice holiday.

Had a fantastic stay at the newly refurbished hotel,a few teething problems pluming sorted quickly but didn't spoil holiday. Rooms are spot on only problem was hangers too big for wardrobe as they kept jamming the sliding doors. The food was pretty good with plenty of choice, toaster a bit slow. Staff very friendly and helpful. There was entertainment 3 days of our second week. Roof top area first class, adult only but needs a toilet as you have to go down in lift lol . Area around pool very spacious plenty of sun beds, pool bar very good and plenty of fruit salad hotdogs burgers and crepes freshly made. Choice of 4 cocktails mojito, tequila sunrise, Pina colada my favourites can't remember the other one lol. Family hotel but nothing for kids to do no kids club very kids small pool would be better as adults only. Front bar belongs to the hotel but not included with all inclusive which is a shame as would be nice to sit there in the evening. It's open to the public but no one was in it. The hotel consists of 3 blocks the best one to stay in is block 1 as there are about 16 steps to block 2 and the same to block 3. Block 2 has access to pool bar and pool other block's have steps to access this area. But loved it and would back at the drop of a hat. ps location is fantastic beach across the road.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stayed 21st August for seven nights absolutely amazing hotel. The reception area was bright and inviting Simon was on the desk he was very helpful and informative. The bedroom was spacious bright big and most importantly spotless. The food was plentiful and there was always something for everyone only slight problem the food could have been warmer. Pool area was spacious and I have mention the pool man who outstandingly cleaned the pool and sun loungers every morning worth his weight in gold. I have to say the best hotel I have stayed in and am really looking forward to coming back. Well done Palia Tropica.
