Fergus Style Tobago stands out for its superb location near the beach, restaurants, and bars, but the trade-off for some guests is the nighttime noise. While the rooms boast stunning sea views, their compact size and open-plan bathrooms may not suit everyone's taste for privacy. Guests frequently commend the hotel for its cleanliness and the staff's outstanding service.
However, opinions on value are mixed, with additional costs for amenities leading some to question the overall worth. The atmosphere in the evenings could benefit from more entertainment to enhance the hotel's vibe.

Detailed Reviews
We’ve stayed in many hotels in Palma Nova but this was our first without the kids. We wanted to stay here for the views and due to it being adults only.
The hotel itself is lovely, it’s clean, smells lovely when you walk into the reception and the air con in the rooms is fantastic. All staff we came across were lovely and helpful. Rooms are on the small side but fine for a couple. The toilet/shower situation might not be great if you’re a new couple or staying with a friend as there is zero privacy. There’s a smoked glass door on the toilet but you need the light on in there so your other half can see everything from the room. The shower is in the room opposite a large mirror so unless your partner left the room, they’re going to see everything. Not a problem for us but I’m sure it would be for some.
We stayed B&B and there was lots of choice at breakfast time. It was lovely and peaceful in the restaurant with it being adults only, we appreciated this as when we stay in other hotels with our kids, often the restaurant experience can be a noisy one.
The main pool does not have enough sun beds for the amount of guests staying. People had their towels out from 7am and were lying out at that time so that they could secure their place. Not a holiday if people feel the need to do that.
We booked a Bali bed on the rooftop which included drinks and snacks for €60. Although it’s lovely up there, it is not worth the money. It’s very hard to get shade due to umbrellas being hard to manoeuvre and your bed is joined to your neighbours. The pool up there has lovely views over the beach and the bar is a lovely place to sit and have a relaxing drink though.
The location is what let it down for us, although we were aware it was at the Magaluf end before booking, we didn’t bank on the amount of noise around the hotel (I am a light sleeper though so if you aren’t it might be a different experience for you). The recycling truck came round before 6am for all the empty glass bottles. Then you could hear youngsters making their way back to their hotels at 5am etc. shouting to each other.
Good points are staff are great, hotel is really clean and modern, restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and nice food, rooftop bar is lovely and views from the hotel are fantastic.
Despite all of this, I wouldn’t stay again. The lack of beds around the pool, the charge for a Bali bed and the location right at the bottom of a street full of bars in Magaluf has put me off.

Dear SadieD963, Thank you very much for your stay and your valuable feedback about the FERGUS Style Tobago. We are sorry to hear that on this occasion the standards about our facilities fell below what our guests expect, especially for the location, the availability of sun beds around the main pool area and the additional charge for using the Bali beds. We have taken good note of all your remarks and be assured we will do our best to improve our offering. We certainly hope to welcome you back in the future giving us the opportunity to show you the improvements made in all areas of the hotel. Kind regards, Susana Cuesta Customer Experience FERGUS STYLE TOBAGO

Stayed from the 16th-23rd of July had the most amazing time at the hotel. Considering the stress of Majorca moving to amber the hotel have everything in place to keep you safe. Rooms are spotless & cleaned every day. Pool wasn't too busy and the lifeguard is really good with towels and ensuring beds are sanitised when you leave. Staff are really quick to make sure everyone is wearing masks etc so you always feel relaxed.
Staff are all welcoming and friendly with an array of language experience to make each guest feel at home, also allowing us to practice our Spanish (badly).
Buffet for breakfast is great, excellent selection so colourful and fresh. If you struggle to find something different to eat every morning, then I would suggest room only as they literally have it all.
Sky bar is lush but can be busy during the day so if you want a bed get there early as it is worth it. The gent on the sky bar each evening is very friendly, attentive and always has the biggest smile even if he’s s rushed off his feet. Unsure of his name but he was brilliant.
Area info- we were half board and ate out a few nights not because of the hotel we just like to see the culture and try new places. Half board gave us the flexibility a few places we enjoyed eating out was: The Olive Tree, Barbuda beach club and Restaurante Mercader Del Mar (Santa Ponsa).
Would definitely recommend and return in the future!

We have just returned from staying at the Fergus Style Tobago for 7 days. From the moment we walked through the door we knew that staying here would be a great experience, the reception staff met us with big smiles and quickly processed check in and soon we were having a welcome drink. The location is superb for quiet walks along the bay to Palmanova or for those brave enough to venture Magaluf it's very close to this too. The rooms are really well appointed and have made great use of the space available, the beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows were so comfy that we're trying to buy them for home. The Skybar was perfect for sundowners and the pool area although not always in the sun was peaceful and well looked after. We were staying bed and breakfast and there was a good choice of continental and cooked breakfasts not to mention bucks fizz! I can't fault a thing, our Mallorcian experience at Fergus Style Tobago was fantastic, thank you!

This is a great hotel but also had a few downsides, first the upsides-
The staff are amazing, excellent service and always a friendly smile and hello, couldn't fault any of them at all
The hotel is spotless, rooms cleaned daily, communal areas / toilets etc kept clean to high standards.
The views from the 7th floor are amazing, so request a high floor.
The food is very good, lots of choice and prepared to a very high standard head chef should be complimented.
Pool area is lovely and well maintained.
Drinks were actually reasonably priced for a hotel.
The beds are super comfortable! best I've had on holiday.
The rooms are high quality / standard, but...see below
We went for a special occasion and this was noted by the reception, we received a nice surprise of a bottle of bubbly in our room and a lovely card congratulating us. A very nice touch.
Now the not so good-
This is not a 5 star hotel, not sure how it rates at 5 but its definitely a very good 4 star
The room layout is odd, the shower / toilet layout was a poor choice of design, if you are going as a couple it should be ok.. as long as you don't mind seeing and hearing everything that goes on in the bathroom. But if you are going with a friend, there is literally no privacy. The shower is open plan and clear glass, opposite a huge mirror, basically you can see what's happening in the shower from anywhere in the room. You would have to sit on the balcony otherwise to allow the other person privacy. The toilet just has a smoked glass / semi opaque door, and suffice to say you can hear everything. It didn't bother us too much as a couple but something just to be aware of before you book. You may need to play some music on your phone when you go to the loo :-)
The Sky Bar was closed for repairs / refurb, to be fair we were notified of this prior, but it was too late anyway to do anything about it. We booked the hotel as this really appealed to us so we were disappointed, having paid the full price to enjoy the hotel. Why the hotel decided to carry out major refurb works after opening is beyond me, given how long they had to do the work in the off season. We could also hear the banging / drilling etc from our room. Poor decision by hotel management in terms of timing and we received no compensation for this.
The hotel is really in Magaluf you can't hide that fact really, its within the new all inclusive ban zone, so that should confirm its location. This means that you do get some noise at night, I was woken up pretty much every night at some point, but to be fair people are on holiday after all so no problem for me personally.
Overall I would say that if you are looking for the best hotel in Palma Nova / Maga then this is probably one for your list, it ticks a lot of boxes and overall we enjoyed our stay.
Shout out to all the staff really excellent.

I’m writing a review on the Fergus Style Tobago, Palma Nova. After a short delay of 20 minutes at Newcastle Airport, we made up the time in air, going through Palma airport was a long walk to customs but there were no issues once there. Covid passports were checked, passports scanned and stamped. Coach journey was around 40 minutes. On arrival we were greeted by Veronika in reception, so helpful and polite, then we got our arrival free drink and waited around 15 minutes for the room to be made ready. The bellboy took our cases up for us, again very helpful and polite, and all the staff are smartly dressed to match.
Our room, 1617, was very clean, yes they are small but let’s face it, you’re only in there to sleep lol. We had a double room with a sea view, the beds are two singles pushed together. I personally found the mattress too firm, but my partner said his was very comfy. There is a bottle of water by the kettle. One thing that would make it better would be to have a fresh bottle of water left daily, that would be a nice touch.
There are some nice touches in the rooms, hand soap and hand cream by the sink, tea tree shampoo and conditioner in the shower, the hairdryer was under the sink counter, I had taken my own anyway. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge and the safe, all free to use. The air con was a god send, very quiet too.
Now, on to the all important toilet questions! As you can see from the photos, the room is open plan, there are obviously glass doors on the shower and toilet, they give limited privacy (you can hear everything 😂), so if you’re not comfortable with your partner listening to your toilet habits then this probably isn’t the right hotel for you. I made my other half go sit on the balcony 😂 Rooms were made up every day, clean towels also daily. There is a balcony with a table and two chairs and a small airer. There is a set of two drawers, which I only found on the Wednesday lol. They are opposite the shower by the toilet door.
We only had breakfast at the hotel, it did not disappoint! We ate out at various places during the week we stayed, then came back to the hotel where I sampled quite a few delicious cocktails every night 🍹🍸🥂Bar staff were polite and attentive, all very smartly dressed in matching uniform.
Pool towels are provided free daily. Just ask the lifeguard, he will take your room number, then return the towels at the end of the day and get fresh ones in the morning. We used them on the sun beds on the beach every day, costs 13.50€ to have two beds and a parasol. The hotels pool is shaded until after lunchtime and the beds are usually all taken before 9.30am 🙄 The Skybar area is very nice, however, we found the heat too oppressive up there during the day, but it was lovely to sit there in the evenings 🙂
All in all we would definitely stay here again 💜

Our overall stay at this hotel as two 24 year olds was pleasant. The breakfast had a large selection and the hotel was very close to the beach and shops.
If you don’t know the area well, the hotel is extremely close to Magaluf. Literally about a 5 minute walk and you are in the heart of the clubs and Magaluf beach. We found that a lot of people who had come on party holidays were staying in Palmanova to avoid some of the limits that have been put on all inclusive drinking in Magaluf.
We did find it very difficult each day to get a sun lounger around the pool as people were reserving them for long periods of time and not using them. Some days this was managed by one lifeguard in particular but most days it was not. The day beds/ four poster looking beds around the pool and on the rooftop bar that you see on hotel’s photos, have to be booked and cost €40 euros per day.
The atmosphere around the pool and dining area was very quiet almost to the point of awkward, like if you did something everyone was watching. This led to us sitting at the beach most days. The pool is also very deep with no ledge to sit on the edge which meant the shallow corner got very crowded.
We also noticed that our beds were not changed once on our weeks stay and was just made up with the same sheets- even when we put our sign on the door for the room to be made up. Although, fresh towels were brought everyday.
Our favourite restaurant of the holiday was The Grillhouse, we went there 3 times within the week and tried all different things on their menu. Absolutely lovely food, staff and outdoor seating area. They have a special offer for 50% off pizzas and burgers before 5pm which both were lovely! They do add a service charge to their bill but was totally worth it in our opinion.
We would definitely have a look at other areas in Mallorca for our next holiday but did enjoy or week in Palmanova.

We Went away for my 40th with my friends, never stayed at the Fergus style Tobago in Palmanova before.
We were amazed by the experience we had with them.
The butlers, who were very helpful and polite, took our luggage on arrival and took it to our rooms.
The ladies and men at the reception moved our rooms , at our request when we arrived, as we were staying in different floors. It was not a problem, we sat with a complementary drink and shortly after the rooms were sorted. We were very grateful at the efficiency of the staff from the beginning.
We had bedrooms facing the sea with stunning views. Three of us stayed in double rooms and I stayed in a suite. Double rooms are nice, clean, and modern just a bit smaller than expected. All rooms had air con which was very much appreciated in July!
The food was really good, all made from scratch with so many different choices which changed every day and night. We stayed half board. Well worth paying for it, you get free cold Prosecco/ cava for breakfast 😉, if you can handle it in the morning that is but because it was so hot it was so nice to drink.
The staff can’t do enough for you, we had a couple of personal issues ( no related with the hotel) yet the staff were amazing, too many names to write down but Carmen from the front desk went above and beyond to resolve an issue we encountered. We were so grateful for her help!
Our waiters Natalia and many others were always polite and smiling. Pedro went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and even helped me to get some ensaimadas to bring home as there was no delivery available from the shop we ordered them from in Palma.
One of the chefs, Mamadu, made me a birthday cake! Which was so nice as I haven’t had that type of cake in many years , when he found out what I liked he didn’t hesitate which made our stay extra special to us. All other chefs were amazing too.
Other staff such as Santi, Juan, Natanael, Dani and many more were fantastic.
In a holiday the treatment you get in the hotel you stay can make or ruin the experience, in this case we were delighted, so much so that we are coming back next year.
There is plenty of shops and souvenirs very close around the area. I have mobility issues and use mobility aids which were not an issue and I could get everywhere easily.
I could easily access the infinity pool on the 8th floor and the pool downstairs.
They have a room downstairs to store a mobility aid or scooter if you need to, also your luggage can be kept there as it’s locked by the staff.
Also you can book a shower room on the day of departure in case your flight is not until late. You can then enjoy the hotel facilities until you are ready to leave or go to the beach knowing you can shower and get change later on with no issues.
I have uploaded some pictures ( not allowed more than 10😒) for you to see.
There’s one of them as you will see that I had to “ minion it” , sorry about that but forgot to ask permission to the person itself if I could post their image online so I won’t post it just in case haha.

My husband and I stayed here for a week half board in August, 2022. Hotel is very well presented when you first arrive, the front entrance is clean and the lobby is well decorated and bright. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but we received welcome drinks and somewhere to change and leave our cases while we waited. Rooms aren’t the biggest, but for all you’re in them it didn’t matter to us, however the door to the toilet is frosted glass which isn’t very private and you can almost see through it, might be an issue for some people. We had a view of the sea and beach and didn’t experience any issues with noise. Room was clean.
Pool area-only half of it gets sun, so we did spent a few days at the beach which is right across the street just to make the most of the sun. I also found that even though there were signs up saying you weren’t allowed to reserve sunbeds it wasn’t adhered to. They had a 30 minute rule if a towel was left for more than 30mins then it’d get taken away but I never saw this happen even though one of the lifeguards was regularly walking around checking, it seemed a bit pointless. One pool ladder was very squeaky, it was really loud whenever anyone was getting out.
We did pay extra to have a Bali bed and cava and fruit at the rooftop pool one day, which is lovely, it’s very chilled out altho the beds are extremely close to one another, probably too close when you’re paying extra.
You are literally right at the edge of the Magaluf strip but we never heard any noise or experienced any issues with this. There’s some nice bars and restaurants next to the beach which are nice and of a higher standard than what you’d find on the strip.
Food was great, I’m quite picky but there was a huge selection at breakfast and dinner, and always beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the Canaries night. What makes this hotel is the staff, they’re so friendly and efficient and seem like they enjoy what they do, which you don’t find everywhere. Would stay here again if we could get a sunbed in the sun all day.

Stayed here for 1 week, for a 5* rating we was expecting more than 3* accommodation.
The hotel was not clean, our room had a bed change daily (that was it) No mop/ sweep, nothing.
The room was TINY & NOT 5* - the fabric on headboard was hanging off, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. Tv was mounted slanted.
No dressing table / or mirrors
Pool - all of the stairs to the pool had an awful creak so whenever anyone got in the pool, eyes were on them, it sounded awful.
Music around the pool, rubbish
The pool was never cleaned or hosed down at end of day, a chain was put around the pool and that was it.
Gym closed - doesn’t state that when booking
Positives ~ lovely views of Palma nova beach, on arrival we got an early check in
Dressing gown and slippers
The hotel needs to be cleaned more thoroughly

Lovely Hotel all the facilities were extremely clean but a lot of things unfortunately let this hotel down.
When arriving the room was not ready but was not a problem as we did arrive a little bit early. The room was a little bit on the smaller size and had a little bit of a odd layout with the toilet door opening onto draws so if they was open the slightest bit the door would then not open. The hotel is in an amazing location a few meters from the beach and less then a 5 minute walk away from the main strip.
Some things which really let this hotel down was that we had security up to our room twice about “complaints” the first time I just thought maybe due to the walls being a little bit thin that potential it could of been that and completely understood and took it on board. But the next night after not being in our room for more then 5 minutes we had security at our door AGAIN, I did question it this time as we had not even sat down before he was knocking and neither of us are very big drinks so was not being “drunk and loud”. We are two young girls who has spent a lot of money to stay in such a lovely hotel so did start to feel as if we was starting to be singled out. When I then rang down to speak to someone from reception he was extremely rude and did not take us on board. This did then put a bummer on our holiday.
We did soon realise that at this hotel you do have to be at the pool by 9am to get a sunbed otherwise you will either get a sunbed which does not get the sun until 2pm. It does not have enough beds to allocate to half the amount of guests at the hotel.
The breakfast at the hotel we could not fault, we did decide to have some dinner at the hotel in which we was sat for 20 minutes waiting for our order to be taken and then 1 hour for 2 sandwich’s we ordered to then come. There was only 3 other tables at this point and other tables then seemed to get some sort of complimentary starter which we did not receive?
We did book a Bali Bed on the rooftop pool one day for €60 which included drinks and a snack each, this was lovely so would recommended doing this.
Overall I think this hotel is stunning and it is extremely clean but is very poorly designed and some of the staff do seem like they could do with a little bit of training as at times it did seem a bit hectic. I would not stay here again due to feeling so uncomfortable and made out to be nuisances in the hotel.
