We felt like we were staying with a gracious family at their private estate. The staff were warm and professional. The service was impeccable. Phillip and Pedro answered every need at reception. Carina, Alex and and Tony made every meal in the restaurant delightful. The cuisine designed by head chef Juan was simply astonishing - probably worth a few stars if Michelin were to pay a visit. A rare oasis and true gem. We can’t wait to return for another visit with our Mallorcan family!
Cannot understand why this fantastic place isn’t featured amongst British guests - it is truly spectacular. Having arrived here after a particularly stressful family medical emergency, I was looking for somewhere for peace, quiet and relaxation. Arriving here on my own while waiting for my wife to come out of hospital I could feel my mental state improving and all I can say is the staff are amazing, the setting is beautiful, the food is absolutely stunning. Would I come here again ? Absolutely Would I recommend for a relaxing holiday ? Absolutely Having moved from a standard quite noisy busy Cala D’Or hotel this was a breath of fresh air and a joy to stay at Of course it’s a little different, it’s not a massive beachside all inclusive but it is a welcoming, friendly, quality, peaceful and superb place to stay Too marks to all of the staff and the owners …
We have visited every year for the last 10yrs as we have an apartment nearby. The food is always excellent, the staff friendly and if you want a nice peaceful setting this is the place to visit. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.Well worth a visit and it's has some unusual find.
great spring retreat. excellent kitchen, loved room with balconey and evening sun. very helpfull staff. interesting art all over the place. we recommend to explore the island by bike, good bike rentals are delivered to the hotel.
We stayed there for only one overnight and were very pleased. Tranquil pool and convenient location to all things on the East Coast. Did NOT like Porto Christo however. It was very cheap & touristy. Instead ask the friendly owners/staff for recommendations of other places to go. Breakfast was ok but very much focused on German tourists.
Son Amoixa has become one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The ambiente is authentic and the quality of the food is consistently great. Nice presentation, good wine list - with a very positive surprise from es Pujol de Maria, which we didn't try so far. Recommended dish: Supreme de Cordero
Travelled to Mallorca looking for a break from the Autumnal UK weather and a quiet relaxing hotel with sufficient diversions for our ten year old son - Son Amoixa Vell proved a success on all fronts. Hotel is immaculately presented, rooms likewise and very comfortable. Service around the hotel was friendly and very effective - even to the point where one of our number needed a trip to the local hospital!! Breakfast on the terrace - warm enough even in October - was a delight as was evening meal in the restaurant. Aforementioned ten year old braved the elegant but decidedly chilly pool - whole family had a number of trips to the tennis court. Great week - could become habit forming!!
This was our second stop on our alternative Mallorcan trip. Having being thoroughly spoilt at Can Simoneta we had to do some serious asjusting on arrival. It wasnt quite the rural idyl that we thought it would be, being just off a main road so you could hear the road as well as the cattle bells and views of the countryside were limited from our terrace.. The facilities were very 'homely' but felt more of B n B standard rather than luxury hotel. As you can see from the reviews the Hotel is almost exclusively German being owned by Germans. All this said everyone was very welcoming and accomodating to all our needs. The staff are very friendly as you would expect in well run guest house. The food is excellent and the place comes into its own when you find yourself alone there for a quiet lunch. Overall I would recommend…
We have recently stayed 3 nights in this lovely old converted country house in Mallorca. It seems more well known to Germans than to Brits (I think the owners are German) It is in a beautiful spot with pretty well-maintained gardens. Eating breakfast outside every morning (even in November) was a real treat. Staff are pleasant and the restaurant is great. The owners have been thoughtful in the facilities they have laid on - free bottle of Cava in your room, a nice tennis court and pool, free use of bicycles. They also have lots of beauty treatments and massages available. If you want to get away from it all, but enjoy a few activities and good food, it is worth a visit.
