We are currently still here, having arrived a few days ago I wanted to write a review as I looked at them before I came here Background !! We were booked into the Sol Palmanova in Palma Nova. I got an email a few days before we left to say this had shut early 🙈 so we were then moved to the sol Barbados and then again to the Sol Katmandu. 🤔 Along with my son's passport only arriving a few days before we left, and it being our first holiday post Covid this all added to my stress levels 🤣 I'm not going to lie, I was nervous about bringing my kids (age 8 and 10) to Magaluf However these reservations have proved to be unfounded . The hotel is lovely. Very clean, friendly reception. All the reviews about the bad food are rubbish. I don't know what they are expecting. There is plenty of choice, the food is fresh, you can see it being regularly replenished and the dining area is clean There are 2 pools which are nice. Then you have the water park area and the "theme park" area, which is great but small but it's a bonus addition. The kids are happy which is what's important I can't imagine coming here if you didn't have young children but for this age group its well catered for The beach is literally across the road and it's a lovely beach with white sand and clear waters . Very quiet at this time of year. Not the Magaluf I had imagined The only negative points for me are these We were allocated a twin room so for me , and two boys who aren't tiny we have two twin beds and a tiny camp bed. I tried to sleep on it the first night and got no sleep I would have preferred and expected 3 beds A small but very relevant point! There is only one socket in the room. And it's located in the walkway so if you plug your phone in its a massive trip hazzard. And nowhere to plug the other two phones!! And the only place for me to dry my hair is in front of the toilet mirror . If you are a woman with thick hair doing this every day of the holiday it's not ideal. Id rather be able to do this sitting down in fne room but no plug points and nowhere to sit But overall I'm very happy with the hotel . Id rather have had a larger room (with more sockets!) But the food is good and location great and hotel clean Thank you . Happy holidays ☀️☀️☀️

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed with kids in July 2021. Excellent facilities, especially for younger children, but even our 17 year old was happy. Waterslides, crazy golf, 4D games centre all very good. Good location in heart of Magaluf, short walk to beach. Buffet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of much better standard than I expected for all-inclusive. Super-friendly staff, all very happy to help in any way. The whole place is absolutely spotless, and especial thanks to the maid who cleaned our room, Housekeeping / M Hurtano, who cleaned thoroughly every day and checked several times during the week whether we were short on anything.

i m here with my 2 kids , will stay until 20th october, the rooms are too small, i wanted to change but they asked between 30 euro and 70 euro ? i checked the other room definitely not worth it almost same size, foods are not good even though you are in spain breakfast lunch dinner , not good, no taste , poor buffet ,doesnt have test and actually nobody control who take the food with hand or spoon, it s not really using the regulations, reception was not really helpful about room, or informations you have to go check bilboards for timetable , you have to pay 20 euro for beach towels and you have to get a paper to to lifeguard get towel and if you wanna have clean one you need to pay 1 euro each, even though i m paying allinclusive ?? ao qhen i get my money back i went to reception they sent me to lifeguard life gurad took the towels make a sign i went back to reception get my money (stupid system ) games are not really interesting, 4 d cinema is nice but only 10 min. i m not sure if the kids clubis exist i only saw mini disco, but kids didnt like it . they have games but they don’t even have written plan . so we came here for thinking that it would be a kids holiday , definitely no . kids are sitting in the lounge area and playing nintendo. aoft play are is open in some times but your kids can stay only in 40 min. but ladies in reception of softpal was nice and golf ladies and a tall gentleman was nice. too the pool big one and baby pool both are cold, i asked help from life guard with big belly he didint even look at me, young one came and helped to open the umbrella . chefs are not talking english. beach is closed but 13,50 euro for beachbeda and nothing around the hotel and without car it s a boring holiday but you have to rent the cars minimum 3 days, island is beautiful but not the hotel area.

We have been going to Sol Katmandu for 6 years now, its a brilliant hotel. We booked direct and were told of all of the restrictions however people who booked through a travel agent were not, things like the kids programme and the park are limited due to covid but agents like jet2 etc have not been telling people this, its not the hotels fault because as I said we were emailed as soon as we booked and they even gave us the option to cancel for free if we were not happy with the restrictions, cant say fairer sthan that. Overall this hotel is perfect especially for kids, looking forward to next season when things are all back to normal.
