The hotel is modern and clean, great pools. Our room (406) was huge, cleaned every day, fresh towels etc.. Great spot at one end of the beach, which is a short walk across the hotel. Choice of 3 pools which includes an Adults only pool. Plenty of sun beds, although it was early October. Good buffet breakfast with wide selection. Staff very helpful. For some the music from Nikki Beach next door would be an issue, for others a nice vibe. A true 4* hotel and I would stay again. Only drawback for sunlovers is the amount of shade around the pools at varying times, although plenty of space to move around and chase it.

Cons: The breakfast hot buffet was not at all hot any of the mornings during our stay. We reported this to one of the waitresses who proceeded to go and dip her finger into the beans. If this wasn’t bad enough, we then never received any feedback and seemingly nothing was done as the hot buffet remained cold for the rest of our holiday. Further to this, the cakes were located in the outside part of the buffet, which every day, were covered in flies. These should be kept inside. Also, the churros were rock solid and inedible. The hand shower hose clip had broken so kept sliding down. We were unable to use this without holding it which was difficult when not wanting to wash hair daily. The pool bar was closed meaning the only available place to get lunch at the hotel was in the expensive a la crate restaurant. This was all big main meals (steak, salmon) with no place to get a lighter lunch. Wi-Fi did not reach up to our room (3rd floor). Coffee and tea is provided in the room however there is no milk cartons. We had to ask reception 3 times before any were bought up to our room. When they did, we only received 4 tiny pots. The sink plug did not work so we were unable to fill the sink. The shop next to reception was not open. There was no explanation at check in with regards to the 2 adjacent Melia hotels and what facilities we were able to use. It turns out access to the gym, indoor pool etc in both hotels is allowed for all guests. It appeared not many people were aware of the third pool to the side of the hotel as there was no signage. There were no information displays anywhere in the hotel for activities, entertainment etc. everything was via QR code. Pros: Good range of breakfast options. Hotel and room were clean and tidy. Staff were approachable and polite. Great location and sea view. Shame the Melia rooms only have a Juliette balcony. Easy to access rooms and buy drinks using the wristbands provided. …

Please read in original English. The hotel and the personnel are outstanding, friendly and helpful. We were LeveL guests on the 10th floor and the view was truly breathtaking and the room was gorgeous. We previously stayed at the Melia hotel in Puerto Banus and really enjoyed our stay there as LeveL guests. The breakfast offered at both hotels is very generous and delicious. We were personally shown the grounds by Alejandro de la Hera Remacha and he was extremely courteous and helpful throughout our ten-day visit. The only reason I am not awarding the full pefect rating is because of the noise from the hotel's neighbor: Nicki Beach. A really great hotel with a noisy neighbor. The LeveL benefits are worth the extra price.

I cannot praise the staff at the Melia South Beach highly enough for their professionalism, welcoming, friendly, helpful attitude. In particular Lorena (Guest Experience Manager) and Claudia (Reception) Lorena rectified some minor issues I had in May (so well in fact that was the reason I returned in September as I knew I was in good hands) and Claudia was always extremely helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her every time I was at reception (both in Sept and May) All in all everything about the hotel was excellent, it was kept spotlessly clean in the hotel, my room, pool and dining area so hat off to the cleaning staff as well as all the other staff in the hotel. In my personal opinion it is the people who work in the hotel who make the difference and here everyone at South Beach can be proud of themselves, they are a credit to Melia and the South Beach is to me definitely the best hotel I've stayed in in Mallorca !! …

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Excellent location on the beach and near lots of shops and restaurants. Within walking distance to the strip (10 min walk) Spotlessly clean rooms. Beautiful view (side sea view room). Lots of choice for breakfast. Lovely cocktails. Beautiful pools. Everything was wonderful. Only slight issue was the bathroom room which is quite open. It’s has glazed glass so not so private. Loved hearing the music from Nikki beach next door- and also went in for free and was aloud to buy drinks. I definitely will return. Claudia and Alexjandro so kind and friendly. Best hotel in Magaluf.

The hotel rating of 2 is due to the noise level. The music was terribly loud and starts very early until very late evening. However, the staff at the hotel were very kind, friendly and accommodating. My husband and I checked out after one night and nicely explained to the manager why we were checking out. She was very understanding. I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a party environment.

I don’t usually write reviews about places i have visited because if its bad i avoid it, if its good ill enjoy another stay. This time i have to! The personelle at the hotel was magnificent. I read previews reviews regarding the service and i am happy to say that overall they were splendid. Especially Andrea from the restaurant in the evening service. Because of her we felt so welcome and our every need at dinner time was met. What ever she makes i am sure isn’t enough! The beach personelle was also super accommodating and hospitable. Apart from this there are some cons, its a bummer that you have to pay for the loungers by the beach. The other Melia hotel right next door also has loungers (for which their guests don’t have to pay). Because the hotels share many things i assumed i could also sit here but sadly you cannot as a guest of Melia south beach. The food for the evening buffet is overall rather good. On my first day on a Thursday i was very disappointed. There was very few options and the taste was ok. Not what i was expecting for a 4 star hotel. From that day until Sunday the food got progressively better to exceptional! The location is also great. If you want peace and quiet however i wouldn’t recommend as the hotel is right next to Nikki beach. Its more of a family hotel and party goers that have more disposable income than your average 20-40 year olds.…
