Blau Còlonia Sant Jordi is highly regarded for its professional and attentive staff, with guests frequently praising the hotel's clean and modern accommodations. Nestled close to serene beaches, it offers a peaceful yet accessible location. While the hotel's vibrant atmosphere and live music are highlights, some travelers suggest that additional costs for basics like water detract slightly from the value. Despite this, the hotel's immaculate cleanliness and the allure of comfortable rooms make it a popular choice among visitors seeking a blend of relaxation and modern amenities.

I recently stayed at your hotel Colonia Sant Jordi with my family and friends. I'd like to express my gratitude to the entire team for their outstanding hospitality, which truly made our holiday unforgettable. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and genuinely dedicated to ensuring a memorable experience. A special thanks to Katja, Paula, and Victor for taking such good care of our kids, and to Alfonso, Mohammed, and Marco at the bar for their friendly and attentive service. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.

We stayed as a family for 10 nights. We were happy with the hotel…it appeared clean and modern. First impressions were great. Breakfast and pools were lovely. They don’t have the big slides you may expect in some resorts but this was fine for us. Entertainment really good at night. The entertainment team worked hard and were very friendly. Cleaning staff great too. We had some issues with our lock for the room. We would return to the apartment and key wouldn’t work at all. This happened a few days in a row and eventually someone listened to us and the way they resolved it for us was to change rooms and no issues after that. Perhaps a follow up call afterwards would have been nice or a sorry for the inconvenience caused but we did not receive this. Mostly German and Spanish people come here. To communicate with the staff was somewhat difficult having no Spanish, maybe something we needed to think about for our next visit to Spain. Perhaps we should have had more Spanish. In the evening time we went to the restaurant. It was fine and convenient. As other people have mentioned they close the water self service which was a little off-putting especially in such a hot environment. One or two of the nights we did get Prosecco on arrival which was a really nice touch and added to the atmosphere. On our last evening after a long day for my kids training in another pool, my two boys who did not like any of the desserts provided went looking for doughnuts which were available some nights and not others. The doughnuts were small and they both took about 3/4 each. Baring in mind we had spent thousands to stay here for ten nights in a superior suite with half board . We were approached out of the blue by guest manage Aron in the middle of our meal. He came to speak to me in front of my children and to reprimand us for taking more than one doughnut and that the kids should have some ‘consideration’ as some of the other guests were looking for doughnuts. I found this shocking- this was meant to be a buffet meal and perhaps he should have directed this issue with the catering staff rather than the guests. My children are young and don’t eat huge amounts in general. It put a downer on the last night of our holiday, a night we were excited about as there was going to be a pool party, a night we wanted to enjoy. Instead I felt upset by this scolding off in the middle of our (last) meal. It dampened the spirits and it makes it very hard to imagine wanting to return to the hotel. Perhaps they need to have signs beside the doughnuts when they are available to only take one per evening meal… that way it would be clear. I would imagine these doughnuts were left overs from the breakfast and that is why there were so few, available on some nights and not on other nights. Overall a nice hotel, just a pity about some of the customer service.

We stayed as a family the last week of October. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel. Entertainment of some kind was put on each evening and the food, although a buffet, did vary enough each day so it didn’t feel too ‘samey’. If I was to visit again, I’d probably stay on b&b basis rather than half board though as there are some bars and restaurants next to the beach just a ten minute or so walk away and I felt the decision made by the hotel to not even allow water to be included with your evening meal a step too far and frankly, poor customer service. That said, the lobby and evening entertainment area was clean and tidy as were the pool areas. Some of the older bar staff who served at the bar in the evenings could do with a lesson in not allowing their thoughts/personal opinions to be conveyed quite as obviously to their facial expressions and comments. By the time when we were served by Nachos a few days in, it was a very welcomed so thank you. Main plus points: Cleanliness of public areas and general standard of hotel rooms. Quiet location but within easy walking distance to the beach. Spacious resort. Negatives: Due to a flight delay we stayed one night less than booked and the hotel still insisted on charging us their local tax for the day/night we weren’t even staying there. Some of the older bar staff were far from polite. Upon arrival on the first evening we asked the hotel lobby staff for an additional chair for our balcony as well as a blood covered plaster to be removed from our bathroom ceiling, as of the last day, the chair never materialised and the plaster remained stuck to the ceiling much to the amusement of my daughter who named it Percy.

Dear sir Dave, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay with us. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding the decision not to include water with your evening meal. We will certainly consider your feedback for improvements. Rest assured, your feedback about the bar staff has been noted, and we will address this issue internally to ensure a higher level of service quality. We're pleased to hear that you appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel and its rooms and that you found it to be a quiet location within walking distance to the beach. This is our second time here and we are delighted. The first time we came without our children but this time we have come with them because the animation team is very good and they are always looking after the children and doing activities with them. Every night there is a different show. The room is completely renovated and is quiet. The bathroom layout is maybe a bit different from what we are used to but we like it too. Excellent food with a lot of variety. Staff very attentive and always with a smile. We will definitely come back.

I wanted to have some privacy and enjoy my solitude on these holidays; I had heard that Blau Club Cologne was not the best choice as there were too many families with children. I was very pleasantly surprised! I stayed in block 3 and my terrace just overlooked the back, a beautiful well kept garden and a lot of peace and quiet, I didn't hear any disturbing noise during my stay, everything was fabulous. I only chose the breakfast option as every night I had dinner by the harbour watching the sunset and then went back to the hotel, to my room, it was the closest thing to a haven of peace. Staff very friendly and very appreciative, customers should smile more and have more empathy with the staff, without their efforts customers would not be served. I will be back very soon!

The hotel is decorated in keeping with its antiquity and is well refurbished. Spectacular service and friendly and helpful staff. The show on the night was incredible. In the restaurant there are two buffets worth mentioning, very good quality of the food. Very clean and they have every possible detail. Recommended 100%.

Dear Gerhard, Thank you for taking a few minutes to write us a short review. We are sorry that we could not meet some of your expectations; we know that these are occasional cases and usually our guests give us their compliments, so we are sad that this was not the case in yours. The extra cost for towels in your previous review is due to the high cost of water as we live on an island and water is scarce for our survival. The amount of water that has to be moved each day to wash the towels is exorbitant, making our resources scarce and making it more and more difficult to provide the best service we would like to offer our guests. For this reason, we try to make everyone around us aware of the importance of conserving our water resources. For this reason, we charge an additional fee of €2 per towel change. Imagine how many guests would change towels several times a day without having to do so.... We hope you will visit us again very soon and take back with you an improved opinion of our establishment. Best regards Claudia Santos

My brother and I stayed at the Blau Colonia Sant Jordi in mid-September and the day we arrived, did not augur well...the reception area could not find our booking and blamed TUI UK. After a wait of about 20 minutes, we were told that the booking had been found! We took the room and also paid a deposit on a kettle and a so-called "deposit" on a room safe...which turned out to be "rent" for the safe for 7 days, which we found out when paying the final hotel bill. The kettle we had been given, failed to work and there were no cups, spoons etc in the "Superior Double Room", which could have been pointed out when we paid the deposit and received the kettle. So, it was the case of trot back to the reception area, change kettle and ask for cups etc. The cups and spoons, I was told, had to be collected in the restaurant, which was closed at the time of asking. So, we felt this was strange for a 4 star hotel rating...where you are given a dud kettle and have to search for cups yourselves. The room was not what we expected a "Superior Double Room" to be. Even in the description, it says an extra single bed is in the room, but this was definitely not the case. The facilities were pretty basic...and as there was no bathroom, just 2 very small cubicles with glass doors (like a peep-show!) for the shower and WC, while the wash basin was in the bedroom area. So, it's no wonder we were disappointed. We upgraded to a suite, which meant more costs..but at least we had a proper bathroom. As I/we do not wish to just paint a dismal picture of this hotel, the good points were: the overall cleanliness, attractive grounds, well equipped gym and most of all, an excellent breakfast. However, the hotel itself inside, is not particularly attractive, the bar on the first floor of the main building reminded me of railway station cafe, devoid of any atmosphere and totally uninviting. The evening meal was chaotic due to table allocations and invariably with queues. The buffet was generally a big disappointment and if you happen to be a Muslim, the staff are unable to tell you if the meat is pork or not, and in my situation, having spoken Spanish with them, the idea of Muslim asking such a question, was met with laughter...all the description says in English, is "meat". Finally, the entertainment was not what was expected...it was second rate and this we heard from other guests too. So, if you wish to try this hotel...don't go with high expectations, just because of the 4-star classification. We have seen and experienced other 4 star hotels in Colonia Sant Jordi, for example the Villa Chiquita and the Don Leon, and the Blau Colonia is nowhere near the standard of the 2 hotels mentioned. Finally, don't expect the usual cheerful, bubbly Spanish mentality associated with Spain...this is Mallorca and not the Mainland. In general we did not feel "bowled over" by the overall treatment we received, though there were exceptions...Sergio and Claudia. It is safe to say we will not be returning, having since cancelled our June 2024 vacation we had actually planned at this hotel...and I am pleased that my brother had the brainwave to test Blau Colonia in advance, otherwise we would have been spending 14 days there, and 7 were more than enough.

Dear Sir Thank you very much for leaving us a comment about your stay, we deeply regret not having been able to meet your expectations and we want to tell you that we will take note of all the suggestions written in your previous comment to improve our work on a daily basis. The satisfaction of our guests is our top priority and we try to transmit it every day from all departments. It is true that we cannot please all our guests but I must mention that it really saddens me that you have rated us with a 2 out of 5..... Finally, the Hotel Don Leon and the Hotel Villa Chiquita are "superior quality" hotels, being of a higher category, they offer a very different offer to ours, as the price per night in August is much more expensive. Therefore, if you wish to have the quality of a 5 star hotel, we recommend that you book with them. We offer a 4 star offer (that's why we have been classified as such) and it is the right one for our clients, they are looking to stay at Blau Club Colonia because of the great variety of services we offer with great qualities that many hotels in the area can't offer, even if it is a 5 star hotel. We hope that in the future you will be able to visit us again and enjoy our Resort much more, many times it is our high expectations that prevent us from enjoying the idyllic surroundings that we do not have. Best regards Claudia Santos Guest service

We spent a lovely week here as a family of three (Mum, Dad and 11-month old). The suite room option allowed us to spend time in the living room/balcony whilst our daughter slept in the adjacent bedroom. The only frustration was that we were only provided a twin bed, after having requested a double. There was a large variety of good quality dinner options for meat eaters, although less so for vegetarians. The pools were clean, a nice temperature, and not overcrowded. The staff were very friendly and professional. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
