Lovely hotel, staff friendly and work hard. We stayed half board and food was good. Drink prices and lunch reasonable too. Pool was cold that time of year. Beds by pool got busy but we always found a bed up on the roof terrace. Room wasn’t huge but plenty big enough for two with walk in shower. Location good with buses a 5 min walk up to main road. Bus to Palma to see cathedral took about half hour worth visit. Hotel right near shops and beach. You can get little train all way along beach to Arenal and back. Arenal a younger livelier resort so we stayed on train and got back off further down. The walk back lovely with lots of shops etc. quite area but you do hear planes all the time in the day. Not so much at night so wasn’t a real problem. Beds comfy and aircon in room. Would recommend. You have to pay for safe in room. All in all would recommend.

We had a long weekend here for my wife’s birthday and to explore Palma .
The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was clean and tidied every day. Our first day was the hotel’s opening day so there were very few people about, we had the bar to ourselves but were well looked after by Dani who was a credit to the hotel.
All the staff from the gentleman in reception to the room cleaners and dining room staff were friendly and helpful.
The food in the hotel was acceptable fare with something for every taste. Because there were only a few people about the food was a little cool sometimes as it was not replenished as regularly as it would be when the hotel is full.
All in all an excellent stay and would happily stay again. The location is ideal about 200 metres to the beach front and a similar distance the other way to the bus stop. The 35 bus will take you into the centre of Palma costing 1.5 euro, where you can take the tourist train to Soller. The 35 terminates at Placa de Reina which is right by the Cathedral.

Very close to the airport, 10 minutes in taxi and bus is available. You do see the aircraft either taking off or landing but noise did not bother us at all. Rooms are a little small, ours was quite narrow but wardrobe space was adequate and bathroom nice, also had a fridge which was useful. We had a sea/pool view room and would recommend this, balcony is good and nice to watch the sunset and be able to see pool area. Spa area was really good but unfortunately due to covid the sauna/steam room was not being used. There is also a long indoor pool for swimming lengths and gym area had good selection of equipment. The swim up pool bar was not in use although you could sit at the bar and wait for waiter to come over and he would then serve drinks to you from the main bar, nice but not really the atmosphere you expect from a swim up bar. Pool and sunbathing area were very quite, this is a 16+ hotel so no children. Choice of two small pools which were nice and clean. The only real downside and disappointment is the lack of sunbeds available, generally by 8am there were none left, they had all been reserved, the only ones we could get during our stay were on the top floor of the sun deck which meant quite a walk down to the pools. Not the hotels fault at all but very annoying as on our first day the sunbeds next to us had towels on but nobody came to use them until the afternoon. Lot's of choice for breakfast and staff were good at cleaning tables, especially Estaban who was friendly and happy each morning and worked hard to keep all the tables clear. Turning right out of hotel there is a range of restaurants/bars within a two minute walk as is the beach with sunbeds available at 18 euro for a pair. Turn left out of hotel and follow road to end where there is a good size supermarket and then follow road down to beach for more bars and restaurants and also fast food places like Burger King and KFC. There is a coastal trail to the right from hotel which you can follow right round to Palma, we didn't make it that far but imagine you could do it in an hour at a very brisk walk. Recommend a trip into Palma, lovely city. We also did the Tren de Soller & Tram from Palma which is train trip into Soller, lovely day out. Down on the beach area there is also a little road train that you can catch from Can Patilla to El Arenal and back. You may need to wait awhile for it though as it didn't seem to follow the advertised timetable. Hotel had a facility to carry out the pre-travel covid tests back to the UK which was very convenient and all staff were helpful and friendly throughout our trip. Enjoyed our first stay in Mallorca and would recommend this hotel.

Had a week's stay here with my boyfriend. It is at the quieter end of the strip, which suited us fine. 2 mins walk to the beach and nearby restaurants - although, due to it being off season, only about 30% of the places were open.
We were given room 406 which was not huge in size but had a good sized balcony in the main block. The pillows were awful, more cushion like and the bed was a twin. Apparently, they only have twin beds in this hotel which they make into a double by putting a mattress protector to connect the two, so not very effective. The bathroom was compact and not very well designed.
The hotel itself had good facilities, i.e. the spa, breakfast and rooftop terrace.
Due to it not being warm, no one used the outdoor pool area with swim up bar.
The hotel has a huge outdoor screen which they show football on, if you are into that and the evening entertainment was ok.
The drinks in the hotel are reasonably priced and helpful to have a vend machine.
There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. However, there is a fridge in the room and free WiFi throughout the hotel.
Having to pay almost 4 Euros per day for the room safe deposit box is unreasonable. It is also very fiddly to programme and you need to collect a key and pay a 5 Euros deposit at reception to use.
If you want towels and robes for the spa, you need to collect these from reception and pay a deposit of 10 euros per item, so for 2 robes and 2 towels that is 40 Euros!
There is no information whatsoever in the rooms - map, local amenities, room details, hotel information, etc,...... which would have been helpful to have.
The hotel is very accessible / disabled friendly. Even the spa facilities are on the ground floor and there is a lift to all floors including the rooftop terrace.

Lovely hotel with great amenities in a superb location, only 5 mins from airport! We selected the junior suite with the half board option and we're very happy with the value for money. The suites had large balconies with comfortable padded sun loungers, perfect for soaking up the Majorcan sunshine! This hotel provides excellent food. The quality and selection of food on the buffet was outstanding. The only negative thing I can think of which bothered me, was that glass drinks were allowed in the pool. Customers are not given plastic glasses for sitting at the pool bar.

WE stayed for 14 days there. Cannot say it was an ideal hotel. I asked for a quiet room but the soundproof is awful, all night s with the shut windows as a tiny balcony has just very low and thin walls and every sound sounded like these people are in your room.
In the morning after 6 airplanes make noise. The air conditioning is very old and very noisy as well. So nifht sleep was afwul.
Food is alright, typical for most hotels but lack of stuff made everything mad. Dirty dishes and glasses. When I asked to change the glass with lipstick the waiter just wiped the glass with a cloth...and it is in pandemic time. The location is good if you want to spend most of your time in Palma, it is close but not much wild pretty nature around. The sauna is not working, most of the equipment is broken in the spa zone. Overall very cheap rooms with absolutely cheap and uncomfortable bed sheets, pillows, everything is made of poor synthetic. The staff is alright but not much polite and trained. The price I saw on their website and on a confirmation letter was absolutely different from what I paid, and it is not just because of taxes. So, there are plenty of better places where you can relax and have a nice time

I stayed here 8th August 2022 for 4 nights. Arrived at around midnight after delayed flight, I got a bus from Palma airport which cost €5 and stopped at the top of the road, less than 5 mins walk, there is even a sign directing you to the hotel. The man on reception was really nice and helpful, I got into my room then popped down to the seafront as there were still people about.
I went half board and I'm not sure I will next time, purely became I don't eat much and I'm extremely fussy although saying that, there was always something I could find to eat. Free water and juice at breakfast but you pay for drinks at dinner, which as someone who doesn't drink alcohol, this doesn't bother me at all.
The pools are lovely, clean and I saw the cleaner and pool maintenance guy every morning, I had no problems getting a bed at about 8/9am on one of the days, most days I was out. There is even a swim up bar which I thought was cool.
The best thing about this place is the spa facilities, barely anyone uses them so I spent most of my "pool time" in there, its so peaceful and you get a nice pool experience without the sun beaming down on you constantly, which was handy when it was 36 degrees lol I didn't get the chance to go up to use the jacuzzi, mainly because I couldn't be doing with the stairs lol
Room was spotless, you can put a sign on the handle to signal if you want the room cleaned or not. It came with a mini fridge, I don't drink hot drinks so I'm not fussed about tea making facilities but I'm pretty sure you can request them at reception. I didn't think the air con was the greatest and spoke to reception about it, then when I got back they had sorted it for me, although it still could have done with being cooler.
I hired a towel for a €10 deposit which I got back when I returned it on the day of departure, I also went and swapped it out for a fresh one at reception during my stay.
On the day of departure, my flight wasn't until 10pm so I checked out and was able to leave my luggage in their storage until I left for my flight.
The location of this hotel is great, 2 minutes to the nearest beach, short walk to Can Pastilla main bit which has so many shops and restaurants. Lots of buses available, I took the bus into Palma a few times and at €2 each way, you can't grumble at all, the buses don't take contactless or they didn't take my monzo card so make sure you have cash and a face mask as they are still mandatory on buses. (Or they were when I was there)
All in all, this hotel is absolutely stunning, the facilities are great, the staff are all nice, welcoming and helpful. As a lone female traveller, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and I love it that much, I have just booked to go back in May 2023!
I highly recommend booking directly through the JS website as they have the best prices, I managed to get a 10% discount on my next stay as a birthday gift, and speaking of birthdays, it was my birthday while I was there and they left a bottle of alcohol for me in my room, which was a nice touch, even though I don't drink 😀

We had a lovely holiday here but felt the standard rooms were not up to the 4* rating. ● The standard room was tiny but as a place just to sleep it's ok. ● The air conditioning in the standard room is old & useless. The room is not cool through the day, even when leaving the air con on while out (our cleaner left a card in for us all day). Most nights with the lower temp & air con it is possible to cool the room enough to sleep well. Nethertheless we were disappointed with the air con considering how well the reception and restaurant air con works! We also managed to have a peak in the upgraded rooms where it appears a more modern air con system is in place. Considering our room was so small we expected the air con to be effective. Getting ready on an evening was a very hot experience. ● There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the standard room. I believe they are available to hire but surely in a 4* hotel this should be standard. Again when we peaked into the upgraded rooms they had facilities & trays with complimentary tea/coffee. This is the 1st time a 4* hotel hasn't had this as standard. I appreciate we booked a standard room but the standard room is a 4* price! ● There are no plug sockets near the mirror in the room so take an extension lead with you. ● Sunbeds at the swimming pool get booked up by around 9am and they're very close together. Lots of people seemed to leave towels out over night to reserve their favourite sunbeds. However the roof top terrace doesn't book up as quickly and it's lovely to cool off in the Jacuzzi. Plus the beds on the terrace are much comfier with more space between them. ● The food is great, plenty of choice and worthy of the 4* rating. ● The restaurant ask your room number and advise you which area to sit within. We assumed it was based upon having a standard or upgraded room because we were asked to sit in the area with pink chairs that do not fit under the table so you're eating hunched over and end up with backache. In addition the tables of 2 are so close together it's uncomfortable because you are literally sat with the strangers next to you. ● Entertainment in the hotel was really good. Unfortunately many of the guests didn't appear to appreciate it but we found it worth watching. ● The area is lovely with beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets all within close distance. We liked Mels bar and the Manchester bar, lovely friendly staff.
Overall we had a lovely stay here and I would stay again but I wouldn't book a stardard room here. However before paying out more money for an upgraded room I would most likely check prices of alternative 4* hotels first.

Stayed at JS Palma at the last week of August and had a great stay in spite of COVID 19. The hotel was strictly adhering to sanitation rules as was guest, with everybody wearing masks when they had to. We felt safe at all time. Had an amazing room on the fifth floor with sea view and big balcony, with shade in the evening, perfect for a G&T! Plenty of space around the pools and our favourite place was the space on top of the reception with a jacuzzi that was empty most of the time! Local area had plenty of beaches in walking distance and good restaurants but was quiet due to COVID which was nice but also sad as many hotels and restaurants were closed and locals without a job! Hope to return when things are back to normal and the stay was all worth two weeks quarantine!

I will address other reviewers minor issues after my own review of the hotel. So, this is a beautifully clean hotel and very modern hotel with lots of very attentative staff, all polite and helpful. The two pools were really nice for swimming in and the bonus of a pool bar really made a nice difference. There was a bar tender running in between the poolside indoor bar and the pool bar and sometimes it could be hard to get his attention while you waited at the pool bar while he was over at the other bar. He worked very very hard though but I do think a permanent pool bar tender would be better. The rooms were cleaned meticulously everyday and the cleaners were very friendly. The rooms are a bit small, Travelodge style but your cases should fit under the beds and there are wardrobes with hangers. Balconies are big enough with a pair of comfortable chairs. I had a problem as a 20 stone man with the doors to the shower cabinet not opening wide enough, I had to really push myself into the shower every day. Before I arrived I emailed the hotel and requested a pool view/sea view room which they duly obliged to for a 10 euro a day supplement. I think it was well worth it. The location is an easy walk to the beach and beach front cafe bars and supermarket. There is a big screen showing live football close to the pool but I much preferred a walk to the Manchester pub to watch the football, located just to the left of the KFC. Now the issues with other reviewers: Poolside Loungers: If you don't reserve a bed by 10am you probably won't get one, so be on the ball! Early bird catches the worm and all that. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms: I did find this surprising as it is a 4 star hotel, you are entitled to expect this facility in your room and its a shame they don't provide it. No free water: The hotel should give you a head start by leaving a bottle of complimentary water upon arrival in your fridge, again you should expect it from a 4 star establishment but they don't. Small rooms: Yes the rooms are a bit pokey but very modern and clean non the less. Overall I enjoyed the hotel and the food was also good.

With regards to the sunbeds, this issue is being transmitted to our guests already during check-in. Further, the management is doing its best to control this problem but sometimes it gets very complicated. Also, this issue is posted in all the elevators with the recommendation to our customers to please NOT reserve sunbeds before 9:00 am. We are very sorry about any inconvenience you may have had.
