Great hotel and well situated beside the beach great sea view from the balcony The food was good and served by friendly staff and our room was cleaned every morning while we were at breakfast which was grand The only complaint I have is the room was small and nowhere to put cases out of the way but saying that I would visit the las arenas hotel again but not room 613
+ The hotel location is great , Clean and nice food ( half board ) , Roof top pool is nice for chilling and nice view - No drinking water for guests any where at hotel ! You have to pay €2.50 each time and Coke €3 and not even included with half board !!!! Not even tab water any where around! _Staff should really improve their English in order to communicate with kids _ Seems in Spain customer service much not have a meaning , feels like being at school 😂 _ no music , or any form of interaction , entertainment at hotel , would not recommend for kids at all as Some idiots instead of going to adult hotel are at this hotel and don’t want to get wet around the pool and mourning to poor kids !!!
The hotel is nice and clean but the the interaction woth the staff were horrendeous , they were rude and unwilling to help. Staff response to everything was I do t know you have to figure it out even with hotel related questions as well as general turistic questions. Its also no covid friendly what so ever we had to argue with people everytimw you go in the elevator as 1 room per elevator is not an enforced practice in the hotel.
I had quite a lengthy stay here so wanted to write a fair and detailed review. The hotel itself has been renovated and the rooms are nice and in a good condition. With COVID a few things had been taken out of the room so this did make it feel a bit less than a 4* hotel but it can’t be helped. I paid quite a lot to stay here for 5 weeks with a sea room view. I had spoken to the hotel before booking asking for a room that got the sun most of the day, so they knew this and I was happy to pay extra for it so did. Upon arrival I was given a room that looked nothing like the pictures I had seen in terms of layout. The pictures showed a glass panel from the shower to the bathroom and a long room with plenty of space. I was sent to a box room which couldn’t even fit 2 side tables and and had the sink in the bedroom because it couldn’t fit in the bathroom. The view was side sea view something that I noted was less expensive than I paid when looking at booking and the sun disappeared from at midday. I went straight to reception and explained that as I’m here for so long I couldn’t stay in that room and it wasn’t what I paid for. They gave me a key to go look at another room but told me I had less than 5 mins to do so as it was due for someone else. After a stressful arrival (at 10pm) running between the two rooms and reception, I took the new room with no assistance with bags or keys etc. Which wasn’t the best start to my stay! Overall minus one of the reception staff I found them to be quite rude and unhelpful. I hired a bike for my stay and I asked if they had anywhere to keep them, I got a blank stare and told the street. Shortly after the seat was stolen from the bike that was chained to a post outside the hotel! They advertise bike rental on the website but this wasn’t something they could assist with. I had packages delivered due to my length of stay- I wasn’t notified of any arriving. I asked if the hotel knew anywhere I could get a massage or my nails done- again blank stare! Due to Covid the gym has to be booked so I requested this at 8pm the night before I wanted to go at 7.30am. The receptionist told me I can only book on the day I wanted to go. Low and behold it was already booked for 7.30am by someone the previous day like I had tried to do, didn’t make sense to me that you couldn’t book it for the following morning. The restaurant staff are very friendly and nice. The food isn’t great for someone who has intolerances or special requirements and due to Covid you had to be served everything at the buffet which made it more difficult for me to eat there, again something I’d paid for. Even breakfast it’s boiled eggs or overcooked scrambled as the only healthy options other than fruit. Location is great, it’s 5 mins from the airport although the taxi driver was fuming that it was a short fare and threw my bags out of the car! There is a bus around the corner that takes you into central palma for 2 euros. The hotel is right on the beach and there’s plenty of shops for water and snacks etc around as well as restaurants and water sports hire. The rooftop pool is lovely but again due to Covid the amount of sun beds was restricted. If you didn’t arrive when it opened at 10am you’d be on a chair/ floor or waiting for someone to leave. It’s advertised for hotel guests only but every weekend there was locals at the pool often big groups with kids who would bring their own music blasting out and no one would say anything. Not the most relaxing but there is another pool downstairs but the sun isn’t there all day. Cleaners are all friendly but often left my balcony door open with valuables in the room. The hotel charges you for using the safe which for 5 weeks as you can imagine is very expensive. There was one occasion where my room wasn’t cleaned even though I’d been out all day and left the sign on the door to clean it. I ended up helping the maid change the bed, not what you want as a guest but I felt bad for her as it was someone else’s mistake! I guess I’d hoped for more from such a lengthily stay. I appreciate things can’t be helped with Covid that make it feel like less of a 4 star hotel but the reception staff didn’t make it any easier! It did give me a very good overview of the hotel! Would I stay here again? No! Overall did I enjoy my time in the sun and I was the room (second room) comfortable enough for my stay- Yes! At the end of the day I was grateful to travel here during Covid so any escape from the U.K. felt good! Other things to note: Masks must be worn around the hotel and restaurant. Only to be taken off when eating or at the pool. There’s only two small lifts and a lot of people! Due to Covid you’re not allowed in the lift with other people so as you can imagine it was a lengthily wait. The area is nice to look at with the harbour and beach in front of the hotel but it is very Brit abroad town in C’an Pastilla with the restaurants and bars (which works for some people!) It’s my first time in Majorca and did explore the island a bit more and realised there’s definitely nicer places to stay if you’re able to! Masks are to be worn in shops and the streets but if you’re along the beach you don’t need to. Police are ready and waiting to fine you if you take one step off without the mask though! The beach is nice soft sand and fairly clear waters. …
I would like to say a massive thank you to the reception staff Anna and Marcos for dealing efficiently with a problem there were very pleasant and professional also a very nice hotel location wise .
