I am very fond of Can Pastilla as it is a charming resort with a good beach and lovely promenade and close to Palma which can be reached easily by bus. The Las Arenas has an enviable location on the Promanade opposite the beach and marina. The hotel has recently been rebuilt and looks very clean and modern. The rooms are compact with limited storage but the bathrooms are spacious and boast an excellent rain shower. The large flat screen TV shows BBC 1, 2 and 4 plus ITV 1,2and 4 plus BBC World The restaurant is very inviting particularly when the terrace is open. The food, serves buffet style, is varied and of a good standard. The layout of the buffet is somewhat confused and would benefit from some thought. The staff are excellent. The pool is small and drab but the roof terrace is huge and well furnished giving panoramic views in all directions. The lifts are very slow. It was my birthday during my stay which was picked up by the management who sent fresh strawberries and a chocolate cake to my room. A very nice touch!

Lovely location looking onto beach. Manager, staff etc extremely helpful. Husband has coeliac disease therefore intolerant of gluten. Chefs in particular Daniella were lovely. Maid service every day, change of towels etc.

Staff were nice and helpful. Hotel's location is best part of this hotel, the beach is about 200m away from the hotel. The airconditioning is amazing on hot summer days! Beds are the worst, I could feel the springs on my back all the time. In our room there is small flat-screen TV.

The hotel is nothing special, right for those who arrive late and need to stay close to the airport. Old rooms, ugly reception. Clean though. The only thing that bothered me was an unfriendly middle-aged receptionist. He was making annoyed faces about other guests, and when I asked him the timetables of buses to Alcudia he told me to "google it". The air conditioning was not working, and he didn't seem interested in resolving the issue. I understand it's not a 5 star hotel, but being nice to the guests and helping them out should be a part of the job.

Arrived at midnight 22 June. Shouted at no rooms you must leave and goto other hotel. Rude , aggressive service. After insisting to find a room , we were given 313. Other guests had been accommodated without issue whilst we were there. Not a double bed then 417 no air con. We left at 1 am to a sister hotel the receptionist called for us and was very derogatory about us in Spanish. I speak a little so got the jist of it. Avoid this place. They don’t deserve to be open.
