The Leonardo Boutique Hotel Mallorca Port Portals is perfectly situated close to the luxurious yacht harbor of Puerto Portals (Portals Nous) with its first-class restaurants and bars, the beaches Costa d’en Blanes and Playa Portals Nous, and excellent golf courts like the Real Golf de Bendinat. The excellent Sky Bar on the rooftop terrace, which offers incredible views of the sea and town, is one of the hotel's numerous features. After a long day on the island, it's the ideal spot for a drink with family and friends. Start your day with a delicious buffet breakfast with a variety of alternatives and end it with amazing dishes at the á la carte restaurant.

We are family of 5 and stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights!Great experience from first minute!Mariana at reception desk welcomed us with a huge smile on her face, gave us a great deal for 2 nights!Next day my husband celebrated his B-day and again Mariana prepared a very nice surprise! We went for a run and meanwhile she brought a bottle of sparkling wine and a piece of cake in the room, with lovely personal greeting card!Energy in hotel is great and all personel are kind.Rooms are huge, the view from the room was fabolous and breakfast offers everything you can wish!We highly recoment this hotel and give 5stars to the personel!

We spent four nights at this friendly hotel. Our room (701) was small but had everything we needed and a good sea view. The shower was great but the bathroom flooded dreadfully every time we used it, we reported it to reception and they were clearly aware that it is an ongoing issue. The pool area was lovely and the loungers comfier than those we’ve experienced in true 5* hotels. There is some road noise but the background music helps a lot with this. Breakfast was fairly basic but again everything we needed, the coffee needs upgrading for sure! It’s a gentle 10 minute walk downhill to the harbour and then a tougher uphill walk back! Bus service from Marinelands was excellent.

Porta Portals is a nice location with a very smart marina. The hotel is a handy 20 mins by taxi from the airport, and a nice walk in to Palma Nova if that is your thing. The hotel is everything one would expect at this price point, however the staff were exceptional, which is why on our experience this is 5/5 review

We’ve just come back after 3 nights stay at this hotel. We were a bit apprehensive after reading some negative reviews, especially in relation to the size of the rooms, wardrobe space and location next to a main road. Firstly, the building is a bit ugly from the outside, but once you step inside, the reception area is lovely and modern, clean and airy. We arrived around 2pm and our room wasn’t ready yet, but we quickly changed into our swimwear and sat around the pool until it was ready. The pool area is small but there were enough beds (with shades) and we managed to find four with no problem! There is service by the pool so you don’t need to get up to go and order food and drinks - always a bonus! The hotel is next to a main road but we didn’t find it particularly noisy and it didn’t bother us in the slightest. In terms of rooms, we opted for a junior suite which are on the higher levels and have sea views. The room was plenty big enough and the wardrobe and storage space was vast! There were ample numbers of drawers, lots and lots of hanging space (almost like a walk-in wardrobe) and also more cupboards with shelves. We didn’t have any problem with where to put our clothes etc. The decor was modern - two sinks in the bathroom with an outlook into the bedroom area, and there’s a door that partitions the bedroom off from the small but perfectly fine living area. On arrival in the room, we were greeted by a bottle of champagne chilling in an ice bucket and a fruit platter which was lovely! It’s the little touches! The only think I would say about the room is that was nearish to the lifts and you could hear them from the room. Word of warning, the walls are very thin and we could hear everything in the next room when they were in their living area. The location is fabulous- 5mins walk to the port and then the beach is just on the other side of the port. The beach is stunning - gorgeous turquoise waters and very buzzing atmosphere. There are two beach bars so no problems getting food or drinks and the sun loungers and parasols were surprisingly cheap given the area! 13 euros for two beds and an umbrella! If you want a guaranteed bed on the beach though - you need to go early to reserve! At 8.15am the front three rows were usually all already taken. If the lifeguard wasn’t there in the morning by the pool in the hotel to give the towels out, reception would give us them with no problem. We would walk to beach before breakfast, reserve the beds, and come back and have breakfast and then go back to the beach. The breakfast is a little underwhelming, although they have everything you would need. A choice of two cereals, toaster for bread (although this was painfully slow) fresh bread rolls (which were still hot from the oven if you managed to get one as soon as they replenished) pastries, eggs, sausages etc. Breakfast is entirely self service - including drinks, but I think this works fine given it’s not a large hotel and there was never a mad breakfast rush. We were always able to get a table outside and never any queues for the coffee machine or the food generally. The coffee from the machine is proper coffee and nice and strong and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. There was also champagne on offer, amongst other fruit juices. We had lunch a couple of times by the pool and the food was lovely and very fresh. The hotel had a peaceful feel about it, especially when you came back at night. The hotel guests when we went were mostly English and all were very lovely and friendly and there was always a bit of banter around the pool! Word of advice for restaurants in the area - make sure you prebook before you go!! This is for wherever you go in the surrounding area, whether it’s Portals, Palma, Andratx - luckily we did. In summary, this is a lovely little boutique style hotel and was just perfect for us and for what we wanted/needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We don’t usually say this about hotels but we would definitely stay here again!

When we pulled up in the taxi, I was slightly alarmed. What an ugly building. But the very worst part of it is that it is right next to the main road between Magaluf and Palma. Constant busy traffic and noise. Absolutely no peace till the middle of the night. The room was adequate but nothing special. It was very clean. The bathroom flooded every day. We did report it but were given extra bath mats to soak up all the water. Breakfast was pretty basic. The staff were friendly and helpful & were the saving grace of this hotel. Such a shame, it could have been so much nicer, but the location will always be the problem. How can you relax when buses are going past every few minutes?

Another relaxing and enjoyable stay at OD Port Portals. Although only staying as working locally the welcoming bar area is perfect for a catch up after a long day. Breakfast is served from 0800 although cold choices and coffee are available well before that time. There are an abundance of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Next year couldn’t come too soon.

We stayed here in July 2021 as a couple for a short break. Most guests were couples although there were a few families. The positives are that the room was nice, and very clean, with air con that worked well. Breakfast was also good and the couple of times we had some lunch food was great. However, the blonde girl on reception seriously needs some customer service training and we literally avoided her at all cost! Also, the steps to the pool have been added as an after thought and were not easy to use. Its about a 10 min stroll down to the marina but on the way back its uphill!! Make no mistake this is a converted apartment block and really not a 'new build hotel' as billed. One recommendation - pre-book restaurants in port portals or you could get caught out.

Response from Mar Soler, Director General at Leonardo Boutique Hotel Mallorca Port Portals - Adults Only

Dear JudithChalmers1970, Thank you very much for your review and for your compliments to the rooms comfort and food. The hotel was completely redesigned and refurbished before its opening in April 2014. Indeed, it always used to be a hotel before, not an apartment block. The design of the pool is inspired in the sandy beaches of the island and its colors. We regret the steps seemed difficult to use, but we asure they comply with all regulations. Future guests will appreciate your recommendation of pre-booking restaurants, and also beach clubs in advance. July and August is peak season and the marina and surroundings are very popular. Our Front Desk staff do their utmost to arrange the bookings for our guests, but during the busiest season is not always easy. Thank you once again for sharing your experience. Kindest regards, Mar Soler General Manager Ocean Drive Port Portals

Zero atmosphere in this hotel, rooftop bar NOT OPEN. Such a shame as with customer service this place could be great, receptionist was the most miserable person we have ever met and she is representing your whole hotel. There are zero people in the bar at any time which should say a lot about how a place is run. Again such a shame as looks great but no personality at all

Stayed at OD for the second time in July (I’d previously stayed last year) the hotel is well designed and a good location to head down to Puerto Portals, which is way we chose it. It’s not a cheap place to stay and service really lacks in my opinion. Our Air Con didn’t work so the first night we slept in an oven, we managed to get this fixed for the second night and the General Manager was helpful and discounted the room. I think the hotel has some way to go for its price point considering other hotels on the island offer much better service.

Dear JoshuaA865, Thank you very much for your review. We regret your second stay was spoiled somehow due to the air con issue, and we do apologise for it once again. Hopefully there will be a new chance to prove you we can do it better. The reopening in July was not as smooth as we wished it to be. Send you kindest regards, Mar Soler General Manager
