Travelers' Choice
IN GENERAL: The apartments at HSM Calas Park, thanks to its privileged sea front location, high standard facilities, service, and the customer oriented, friendly staff have gained more and more clients who repeat their holidays year after year with us in this impressive complex. The hotel is open from May to October. LOCATION: The hotel HSM Calas Park is situated in Calas de Mallorca, a small resort in the south east part of the island, 70 km away from Palma de Mallorca and 60 km from the airport. The area is known thanks to the tourism which began in the early 1960s. Nowadays, the resort offers a wide range of hotels, shops, bars and restaurants. Calas de Mallorca has 3 charming beaches: Domingos Gran and Domingos Petit - these 2 beaches are located 400 m away from the village centre and the hotel (there is an access from a beautiful sea promenade, with a direct access from the hotel) and Cala Antena (1,5 km away), which in itself is distinguished by the verticality of its coast. The complex is situated in the resort centre. Within proximity, there is Porto Cristo (15 km away), a lovely village with its famous Caves of Drach. Also, nearby there are many beautiful caves with spectacular views, as well as small and authentic fishing villages which complement the advantages of this hardly known area, but have become more and more appreciated and chosen by tourists. ROOMS: The complex consists of six 2 or 3 floor blocks and offers spacious and comfortable apartments. All of the apartments include a bedroom and a living room (with 2 sofa beds), a bathroom, air conditioning, fridge, safety deposit box (extra charge), telephone, WIFI (extra charge), satellite TV and a terrace! Some of the apartments come with a sea view. GASTRONOMY: The hotel offers an inclusive board. The restaurant offers buffet style selection of hot and cold dishes, as well as a wide variety of desserts and fruit. The restaurant also offers some dishes prepared instantly in the style of show cooking! All inclusive offers, besides the 3 main meals, includes snacks between meals and all kind of drinks (beverages, hot drinks, alcohol) and ice cream throughout the entire day. FACILITIES: The hotel offers a spacious terrace with an amazing sea view. It has a swimming pool for adults, and includes another one for children. The pool is surrounded by sunbeds and sunshades. Bar service is available at the pool. Inside of the hotel there is a bar, cozy common areas, and a game room. CHILDREN: The complex at HSM Calas Park offers many facilities focused on fun for children! A swimming pool, playground and mini club with entertainers from our very own hotel staff! Our funny mascot called Sami joins the children in different games and activities. Baby cots and high chairs are also available in the restaurant, at no extra cost. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: 24/7 reception. WIFI in common areas (no extra charge), WIFI in hotel rooms (extra charge), Internet corner (extra charge). Rent a car. We accept both Mastercard and Visa credit cards. SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT: Daytime and evening entertainment, shows or live music various times per week. Mini club for children. Billiards (extra charge), French bowls and table tennis in the complex.

HSM Calas Park garners praise for its spacious, modern rooms and exceptional cleanliness, with guests often lauding the attentive service and engaging entertainment team. The hotel's prime location is a hit, offering easy access to the beach and local attractions. However, some guests note the atmosphere can be dampened by repetitive, loud music. While the amenities are generally appreciated, including the range of activities, the presence of steps may pose a challenge and poolside snacks are missed. Travelers find value in the scenic views, despite some concerns over additional costs and the quality of food.

My Girlfriend and I stayed at the HSM Calas Park from the 22nd-29th September 2023. We have been to Majorca once before, on my 50th Birthday, but only for 3 nights. ( near to Palma). We didn't realise how large Majorca is, when we booked this hotel. We knew we were on the east side of the Island, but thought we could get to Palma in about an hour. This isn't the case. We couldn't book any proper trips with Jet 2, as we were too far away for them to collect us. We do like to get out and about, rather than just lay by the pool. Anyway, we arrived just after lunch time at the hotel, but the serve snacks after lunch, so we got something to eat and drink. Our first evening meal was ok. We didn't get down to the restaurant until 20.15. We were still eating our sweet/pudding at 21.00 when a waiter came over and told us to leave, as the restaurant is now closed. He was quite rude. I have never had that before. Normally you get 10-15 minutes grace. He then went over to everyone else and said the same thing. He may of had a bad day, but that was just out of order. We finished our drinks and left. The rest of the week, we made sure to be out before 20.30! Something else we noticed was, most guests were taking their plates to the cleaning stations, and putting the waste food in the bin. Then putting bowls or plates on the pile, and cutlery in their place. We ended up joining in on the second day, until we left. Quite funny really, doing their job for them! The hotel is quite nice, with a lovely view of the sea. There are lots of stairs, and no lifts. If you struggle with mobility, then I suggest looking elsewhere. We were in room 434, right opposite the reception. When you check-in, make sure you get your chitty for your beaker. This was the most annoying part of this holiday 🙄. If you want a drink, you have to have a beaker or your own reusable cup. It happened a few times, where we had been out for the day. Went to the bar for a beer, and then had to go up to the room, for the beakers! Other places we've been use beakers, but you put them in a collection box, and get a new one when you go to the bar. They are saving on paying someone to go and collect the beakers. You don't get towels for the pool at this hotel, so please take your own. This wasn't made clear anywhere in the hotel information on the Jet2 website. We had to go and buy 2 towels. Back to the restaurant now. We managed to find something for breakfast and lunch. The evening meal was more of a struggle, and we aren't picky eaters. One night they had Rabbit on the menu! Alot of the food was lukewarm, but we didn't starve. There's no fresh fruit at breakfast. They put that out at lunch and evening. Bizarre! There is no view from the restaurant either, which is a shame as we like to people watch. There's no snack bar near the pool. All food is served at the restaurant. You won't put much weight on, as the stairs will keep you fit! Our room was very nice. Lovely view. We didn't bother with the TV as you have to put a deposit down for the remote control. There is nothing in the kitchen area, or in the fridge. Not even a bottle of water. We brought our travel kettle, for a brew in the room. Proper Brits 🍵 The hotel is close to a few shopping centres, with bars and excursion shops. We booked 2 trips on the water taxi/ catamaran, and the Drach caves, with Mary. Her shop is straight up from from the hotel, past the Irish bar, on the left. Very nice Lady. She prebooked our tickets to the caves. You are really close to the beach here and the water taxi. Just go out onto the promenade, near the pool. Turn right and walk for approx 5 minutes. Simples The animation team are very friendly. I enjoyed the air rifle shooting. The sight is slightly off, so aim a bit left, to correct this. Unfortunately the evening entertainment wasn't so good. Unless you like bingo. One night they had a couple doing acrobatics, which was good. We ended up going out of the hotel, just for a change of scenery It's a nice enough hotel, but we won't be returning Thanks for reading my review and hope it helps people make an informed decision for themselves

This hotel is lovely, but not suitable for anyone that struggles with steps/stairs, as there is a total of 72 of them from to bottom, these start at the reception and go down to the pool and bar area, and the restaurant is located in a different building opposite the reception area. The view from block 1 looking out over the sea is stunning, which costs extra. The sitting room are spacious, having a small kitchen area with a fridge is a bonus. Bedroom could be a little wider, as moving around the beds can be painful on the shins if not careful. Bathroom with a walk in shower is an bonus for someone who struggles to get in and out of a bath. Food is limited, the breakfast food was found to be tepid, when it should be hot, evening meals were a bit better and we did manage to find something to eat most nights. Evening entertainment consists of the animation team entertaining the kids till 21:00 ish, then you get a form of bingo with the prizes being hotel labelled caps, t-shirts, rucksack and a bottle of fizz, then there is either a music quiz, pick a song and they play it or some other form of entertainment from a professional act.😣 We didn't make to the beach, as it consists of more steps down, which means you need to climb up again. 🙁 Overall the place is lovely and clean with friendly staff. Sorry, but due to health issues, it was not the right place for us. Note, these points were pointed out to the rep as well, as the steps are not pointed out in the brochure or on the website for this hotel.

Great Hotel, the reception staff, very kind, helpful and friendly, the cleaning staff make an amazing job not only in the bedrooms but the whole hotel is spotless, good food and friendly staff in the restaurant, the bedrooms are massive, huge, two bathrooms and comfy beds, the bar and bar pool also great. Nice pool, and a beautiful beach 5 min walk from the hotel, great experience, we'll be back for sure.

Just got back from a lovely week away with my partner. Highly recommend this hotel for an affordable break. Steps - the hotel is built on a cliff with stunning views, so expect lots of steps and walking, but as a young couple, we were fine with this. Food and drink - had no complaints about the buffet and food was available pretty much all day. Read some bad reviews about the food. It is classic buffet food and not very authentic Spanish (meat, chips, salads, veg, fresh fruit etc) but there was always something we liked to eat. Drinks were good too, with numerous cocktails, all spirits, sangria and slushies included within all inclusive, just beware of the very strong spirit measures! There is also an ice cream machine by the poolside bar where you can help yourself. Room was clean and tidy with a glimpse of the sea. The hotel location is great, just 5 mins walk to the beach, with a beautiful cliff path going along the coastline. A few bars, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. We used the local bus and took a trip to Porto Cristo which is a 20 min journey and less than €5 each way. Was a great day out seeing El Cuveas del Drach and lunch in the marina. Hotel entertainment is what makes this place. Rudy, Nadya, Ivan and Maria made every day fun. Lots of activities during the day for kids (mini club every day and night) and adults and then evening entertainment too, including water polo, bingo, table tennis, dance shows etc. Only activities that cost extra was the bingo (€1 a go) and the kids pony riding (unknown cost as we didn’t travel with kids). They also do daily competitions by the pool area and you win certificates that are awarded in the evening. Little bit cheesy but fun none the less. Overall, for the affordable price, we were really pleased with our time here! Would highly recommend for couples and families.

I'd start this review off with the fact that my husband and I are the least fussiest people and really didn't know what to make of some of the reviews on here but I feel a good few (having now returned) are fully correct. Firstly, I'm going to start with the bit that let the hotel down to get it out of the way... The Food... When I say it was beyond basic that would be an understatement. Breakfast was alright most of the time as I stuck to either fruit (when it looked washed correctly ie grapes etc) or an omelette and toast. Lunch and dinner were hit or a miss with few options - Dinner there's always a pasta and sauce counter with pizza on offer too ( no real labels or allergy labels which doesn't impact me but I felt that it could have been dangerous for those that suffer from such things). One night at dinner they were serving scrambled egg which wasn't even on offer at breakfast and at breakfast, sausages that looked raw at times. One lunch time I witnessed the steak being fried on the hot plate and when I looked around there was a big steel container with raw beef, chicken mixed in. Totally appreciate things were cooked and that food standards may be different abroad but this did make me re-think every meal and what I was eating (some pictures attached of things we ended up having - PS the pig knuckle references are correct on previous reviews). The restaurant is outwith the main hotel across the road and down some steps, due to this we didn't visit during snack times but did see a few people walking around munching on some hashborwns. All in all we probably then spent an additional 500 euros across the week eating out of the hotel. Secondly - the hotel itself is fantastic the views are the best I've had and staff always friendly and upbeat. Hotel was so clean as other reviews mention. We did get ants in our room one day and some other bugs at night but you kind of expect that at times abroad. When you check in you get a voucher for plastic cups that you need to take to the pool bar and these are your cups for the duration of your stay. The barman will wash them out for you before each refill and additional cups can be bought for 1 euro each. At first I thought this was a bit odd and annoying to remember to always have your cup on you but in the end I actually preferred it as it meant there wasn't lots of plastic single use lying everywhere or bins full of used cups around etc as I've seen in some hotels. We stayed in room 125 sea view which also overlooked the pool. If you're looking for a relaxing room to get away from the noise of the pool etc perhaps request a room further back from the pool as it was noisy all day but it really didn't bother us that much. In the end I'd say this hotel is best for families and if your a couple looking for a relaxing get away with good food perhaps look more towards Cala D'or or another resort/hotel. Tips - if you walk down the steps the the walk way beneath the pool area and take a right and keep walking around you'll find the beach. We did this one day and also signed up to go onto the boat that takes you to Cala Mallor which is up the coast visiting Porto Cristo along the way with opportunity to swim off the boat - just watch out for the jelly fish. Bus to Cala D'or - If you come out of the hotel and take a walk through the tropical sqr bit and go out the back of the sq and take a right and keep walking up past all the shops and bars there's a bus stop across from Dafil bar which you can get the bus to Cala D'or which took 38 mins and was around 8 euros for 2 return. We got off a the first stop and found our way via google maps which took us 10mins to get to the main sq with all the bars and restaurants. Overall I've seen people say " you get what you pay for" - no holiday is cheap any more and the extra we spent on eating out really has made us rethink what we're looking for from a holiday.

Hotel of two halves. First, location, facilities and room, excellent. Outlook straight out to sea with beautiful sunsets, facilities ie wifi, bar and pool brilliant. Room, one of the best we've ever had as so spacious, cleaned daily with large balcony. All staff extremely pleasant and friendly. However the other half - our holiday was spoilt due to the unreasonable level of boom, boom music being played all day. The evening went up another level to the point we were unable to have a drink and chat in the bar as we couldn't hear one another speak. The food was ok but boring, ended up living on salads. Lovely hotel but not one we would return to.

Staff work hard and are always pleasant and friendly. Lovely clean spacious rooms very modern and comfortable which is definitely a bonus as we really struggled to sit in the bar at night. Way to loud had to shout to Speak to the person at your table. Also some days loud music around pool which is not what we personally like. Very good location. Food monotonous but could find something to eat most nights. Never had a night were thought I had a great meal. Ate out more than we normally do for all inclusive. Was good value holiday but would not book again. Not for anyone looking for a chill out holiday.
