A year later than expected we finally got to stay at Club Cala Barca and we weren’t disappointed! All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional - a special mention to Irene on reception who went out of her way to help us printing PCR results and locator forms. The site was clean and well kept. Food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble - we had heavy rain on our first day and unfortunately there was a leak in one of the rooms but once reported a member of facilities was there immediately. All in all a fabulous break.

Excellent service, friendly, clean, superb food, helpful staff across the whole hotel. Because of the covid rules pcr tests were needed along with locator forms, the reception staff printed all of these for us and were so professional and helpful, nothing was too much trouble!

We came back from the hotel in Friday, I was looking for a good place for our holiday for a long time and I chose Iberostar .My booking a hotel room should be at or near the main block. Unfortunately, during check in, it turned out that my room would be in a block a few minutes away, when I asked to change the room closer to the main block, they said the is no any room available . Then she said i will chack with my manager . When she back she said that they can find room closer but the cost is £850 with the sea view or £210 with the garden view . We chose the garden view and we paid additional money for the save box .The safe box stop working after 2 days , i call them to help and fixed but the nest day safe broke again. We got the room in the 52 block and the next day when i asked cleaning team they said that there is still a lots of empty rooms around the main block . Why they did ask for £200 then ??? The hotel is clean and pleasant, the staff is very helpful and they build the history of this hotel. quite a small selection of food and repetitive but very tasty, and every day at the diner time main menu changed. Good choice of alcoholic drinks, but you have to ask for international brands .several pools and it is up to you where you want to spend your time near restaurants or near food trucks where they serve good food and ice cream.Pools cleaned every morning so really neat. The beach around the hotel is neglected and it is better to move 10 minutes to the next nicer beach. The daily evening show made the evenings a bit more pleasant, but the lack of any entertainment after 22:00 makes the hotel very boring.I also don't know why there was no music during the day. Rooms outdated lack of daily fridge. For me it is 3.8 out of 5 not worth the money I paid. A big plus for people working in this hotel, because it is thanks to them that the hotel operates.

We (mum, dad, twin 14 year old girls) spent 1 week at the end of August at The Iberostar Club Cala Barca and booked with Thomson. This was an excellent hotel. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. And there are lots of staff – lifeguards, waiters, barmen, etc – so there is very little queueing. The beach bar was our favourite, though you do need to book via the hotel app. Mandrago Bay is a 25 minute walk, but worth visiting – do take swimming costumes, flip flops for the stony beach and money for ice creams on the way back. The local town of Santanyi has a market on Wednesday, 10am..2pm (15 Euro in the taxi) and Cala D’Or is worth a visit (10 Euro taxi). We would have liked to have taken a boat trip, but ran out of time. The was no TUI rep at the hotel, but hey, ho. Though we could have done with a rep to answer our Covid testing questions. The flights, and Covid testing was a nightmare. A week before we flew from the UK, the rules changed to say that PCR tests were required for our girls, and not Antigen. This was after we had ordered the Antigen tests – no refund from Chronomics for the unused test kits. PCR tests were hastily arranged from Screen4 and the results arrived just in time. All added to the anxiety. You then need Antigen tests in room 7112 two days before returning to the UK, and must have proof of arranging more tests at 2 days after returning to the UK. And you must complete “locator forms” with this info before arriving at check-in. The extra cost of all of these tests is about £500 for our family of 4. And mum and dad are double jabbed. The food is excellent in the restaurants and we always found sunbeds. Floats in the pools are allowed. There is a relaxed feel about the place. The hotel complex is large, so unsuitable for those with mobility issues. In summary – an excellent, well run hotel, with great staff and consequently a lovely holiday.
