We came for only 4 days for my partner's birthday. We were treated without respect by the staff member. She spoke almost no English. Screaming, aggressive, rude never seen behaviour like that. I complained in the reception, however, no apology or change came from that. When you are coming on holiday, a hotel that constantly lacks coffee or juice for breakfast would be already irritating, however, staff that does not speak English and is rude and aggressive is something that should never disturb your holidays. I do not recommend it! Avoid at all cost
Hotel Playa Mondrago is a wonderful hotel. Fabulous location with many rooms having glorious beach views. The rooms have been refurbished and are looking really good. Excellent restaurant and very friendly team who genuinely care and nothing is too much. Once you get here you can’t be bothered moving unless it’s the 20 meters or so the beach or a visit to the excellent beach restaurant and bar. Hard to believe it only receives a 3 star rating as it has everything you need for really great holiday. Also worth mentioning a well timed local bus service if you really must leave the hotel. We are already planning our next visit. Congratulations Juan and the Mondrago team for making your brilliant hotel even better
Very good location! Very quiet and peaceful area…Sea view room, clean and top class, beautiful beach, staff very friendly and helpful. Nice swimming pool, good breakfast, hotels restaurant and bar…We arrived during covid restrictions and wasn’t any night entertainment but it wasn’t what we looking for. Unforgettable memories! Highly recommend.
This hotel is a straightforward, unpretentious delight to stay in. The room was clean and had all we wanted for our short stay and the chance to explore the wonderful beaches and reserve nearby. Nothing flash here but it’s relaxed and really well placed. I had some of the nicest plain grilled fish I’ve ever eaten. Really fresh and tasty and, like the hotel, unfussy. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and one staff member went completely over and above after we left something in our room. Top spot. Thank you.
This charming hotel is a real find, combining a warm and friendly family atmosphere, a stunningly beautiful location a few minutes walk from three gorgeous natural beaches with no development thanks to being in a nature reserve, and simple yet delicious food. Highly recommended. We wish we had been able to stay for longer.
This is our second visit to this hotel and we will definitely be back! Can’t recommend it highly enough. The location is ideal right next to the beautiful beach with a short drive to Porto Petro and Cala Dor The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food and standard of cleanliness is excellent The local bus and taxis are cheap and easy to use so a car isn’t a necessity Leaving today will be sad but I know I’ll be back!
Our stay was amazing, the location of the hotel is not even 2 minutes walking distance from Caló de Sa Font d'en Alís and just 5 minutes by foot from Cala s'Amarador. The food was great as well, large choice at the buffet every day (breakfast and dinner), very good price on a half-board basis. The staff is beyond friendly and there is always someone available. Very good location for walking among the nature. It is true that the beach is a little crowded, but it was not a problem for us at all. I am a light sleeper and was not bother by any noise during nighttime. The rooms are quite spacious and well-kept, as well as the bathroom. The balcony offers a great size as well. For the nightlife, we went to Cala d'Or, which is 10 minutes away by car, it was quite fun with a large choice of restaurants and bars. We will definitely be back!…
Just back from 11 nights at this lovely hotel. Really recommend staying here. Amazing location and lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. Considering the COVID situation it was dealt with extremely well. Felt clean and safe. Wore masks in communal areas of the hotel, in the street and shops but not in restaurants bars or at the beach. It was nearly a normal holiday! Will definitely be back
This small, family-run hotel is just perfect for a few days relaxation beside the most beautiful sandy cove, surrounded by woodlands. There is free parking at the hotel, whereas visitors not staying have to pay €5 and walk down from the top of the hill. The dinner buffet, which only costs €15, seemed limited at first, but everything is freshly cooked rather than bought in, therefore tastes wonderful. There is a beach bar and a restaurant on the beach, but both close as the visitors leave, around 6pm, so there is no choice for dinner except the hotel, or driving to Portopedro or Cala D'Or. My only suggestion for improvement would be the dining room. It is great for breakfast but a bit canteen-like and brightly lit for dinner.
Walked here from Cala Barca as we were staying at the Iberostar. Got to the beach about 10am and couldn't believe our luck. Beautiful quiet sandy beach with lovely shallow water and not many rocks in the sea. My son and husband swam round to the 2nd little beach there. Within a couple of hours the beach was mobbed. Probably because it was the weekend. Some places to eat and drink and the most amazing fruit you can buy on the beach. Lady selling mango (with 2 bananas) for €4. Best mango ever had. She also sold pineapple, melon and coconut. Would like to revisit in a less busier time to really enjoy this beautiful beach.
