Our family and close friends rented out all six rooms at the Inn for my brother's wedding at Pippin Hill Vineyard over the long holiday weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect for our needs. Jim and Janet were gracious hosts and were helpful from booking through the end of our stay making sure our needs were met and... More

Thank you for such a thoughtful, detailed and positive review! We loved having you and your family, new and old, stay with us. Your husband, your daughter, your parents and the entire wedding party were all delightful. Maintaining and running an 1820 tavern is a daunting task but when we read reviews like this one it makes it all worth... More

Three ladies and one young lady have stayed there twice. The food was great, Jim was a wonderful and well informed host. We saw things we would have not know about had he not shared. We are planning a trip again soon. Just the other day Addi the 9 year old said "when are we going to go see our... More

My wife and I stayed here while touring the wineries around Charlottesville for the first time; we had a blast. The location is quiet, scenic, and accessible. Jim is a pleasant host full of great recommendations and descriptions of the area's attractions; he also has a nearly endless supply of stories and anecdotes befitting an historic landmark. He was great... More

Thank you so much Pete and Jelena for your personal comments and a wonderful review! Glad you made it to Dave Matthew's vineyard and hope you made it to the ciderworks on your way out of town. You made it through an impressive list of wineries and brewpubs but there are a lot more to explore so we look forward... More

My wife, teenage daughter, and I stayed here for two nights over Memorial Day weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The friendly owner, Jim, attended to everything, providing marvelous breakfasts and cheerful company. Even though it sits between a popular vineyard and a busy Route 29 intersection, south of Charlottesville, the Inn is quietly serene on its sheltered parcel of... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here while on vacation in Charlottesville, VA. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We just got back from a night at the Inn at the Crossroads. Loved it! We stayed in the Inn Keepers Suite which was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was very well done and modern. It is amazing to think that the room you are sleeping in was a tavern for travelers 150 years ago. Great breakfast and lovely... More

Thank you for your kind review, it is what makes saving these early American buildings all worthwhile! It doesn't mean something to everyone but as I spend my days here I am thrilled by the visions in my head of all of those who visited the tavern long ago. You didn't mention wreck diving! Next time at breakfast you will... More
