Positives: Air conditioning Location - perfect for local bars, shops and 10 mins to beautiful beach and 20 mins to Marina so no taxis required. Negatives - well where to start? I wasn’t expecting a lot because of reviews but it really was one of the worst places I have stayed. I have stayed in many different places, of differing standards but this was poor by anyones standards. The apartment was very small and very tired, refurbished in 2005 so wasn’t expecting high end or new but I do expect functioning. The doors didn’t lock properly, the furniture was shabby with handles on drawers falling off, wardrobes not closing etc. The inside was surface clean but it was not cleaned for the rest of the week other than bins emptied. The staff came in every day with clean towels, emptied bins and made beds (not with clean sheets) but did not clean anything. There were stains on the floor and light fittings - just really shabby. Toilet roll holder was broken, towel rail fell off, third bed was shabby and rusty although was comfortable to sleep on. I could forgive this had it not been for the facilities outside. The outside space was a semi-private garden but it was just a patch of mud with rickety patio that had not been cleaned with old cigarette ends all over. There was so many ants too, I expect some but you really couldn’t sit outside, it was too depressing. We faced onto the car park and behind a toilet block which smelt quite bad. It was better than the people across from us who basically had a table in the pathway between apartments with no privacy at all. We were unable to open bedroom window as this was straight out onto the public walkway and overlooked the other apartments patio area. The windows were filthy too. As mentioned by other reviewers the pool area was very nice but not once in a whole week were we able to get a sun-bed or space to sit around the pool, even though we tried at several different times in the day. We were a family of 3 and had come to meet family who have a place in Cala Dor so at least we could get away but really would have lost the plot if we had no options but to stay in the complex. The apartment was too small for 2 adults and 1 teenager. How a family of 4 would cope in the size I would find very difficult to believe. The pools are well maintained just too small for the size of the complex. All in all, a poor stay and we could not wait to leave.…
Blue sea bolera is a 3 star hotel. This review keeps this in mind. We visited July 2022 during school holidays. 2 adults, 1 15yr old. The apartments are perfect if you have older children who need a separate sleeping space. There is a comfortable sofa to sleep on, with a pull out z bed style underneath which isn't so comfortable. Yes the kids are sleeping in the lounge/kitchen, but there is a door separating the bedroom from the rest of the apartment. The apartments are the same usual standard you get in a 3 star hotel, but there is a small kitchenette, kettle, TV and if your lucky a balcony. The area looks like a quaint little spanish village, with chairs in the courtyard if you fancy some quiet sun. We started in room B410 and the Aircon didn't work so we asked and we were moved to room B210. Aircon worked fine there. I have spoken to a few other guests and it seems the Aircon works in about 80% of rooms. Also If your unlucky, B410 is situated near a generator or something which makes some noise at night. The usual sunbed regimented routine begins at 9am with chair saving and sunbed queues, but nothing different from other hotels. Sunbeds became available in the afternoon as people leave. SECRET TIP: the staff do not mind you taking sunbeds to your balconies if you wish, so if you missed out in the morning then feel free to grab one before they lock them up, and bring it back down with you in the morning. The resort has plenty of shade places, trees with shade, overhanging buildings and nice grass areas to relax on, which is a welcoming addition. The food is standard for 3 star, recycled leftovers are common, and like other reviews have stated - this is the first time I have seen cold mixed veg available at breakfast!! Plenty of choices chips and pasta always if your confused by the choices or picky. Other reviews also mention an ant problem. We did see ants at the resort, but not in the apartments. I think because there is a lot of garden areas, bugs are to be expected. The resort on a whole, is well maintained, clean, and looks quite modern. The cleaning staff are proper troupers, who relentlessly clean throughout the day. They usually visit each day. If you need some relaxing time out of the heat, then the reception is always cold. All inclusive drinks are done with a cup deposit scheme which is €1 to get the cup, which you get back when your finished with it. A good way to save the planet from disposable cups, and also keeps glass away from the pool areas. I wish more hotels would opt for this idea. Back in the day we used to do the same thing with coke bottles! The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, but is a small beach. It has a toilet and a basic shower. There is an old WW2 pillbox which is open to look inside if your brave enough, plus cliffs to jump off into the sea. Overall a solid 3 star resort, with visible efforts towards a 4 star …
Myself and my twin 13 year old daughters stayed here for 10 days. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was a 2 storey with a roof terrace. The room was extremely clean, fantastic air conditioning and comfy beds. The cleanliness ran through the rest of the areas such as the restaurant, poolside and bar areas. We had clean towels most days and all the staff were polite and friendly The all inclusive food was faultless every day and there was plenty of choice. There is a separate restaurant on the grounds and they make the most tasty magareta pizza. There is only one all inclusive bar which is situated in the main entertainment area outside. You will need to buy an eco cup for 1 euro which you'll get back in departure. The beach and a voriety of shops pharmacy and restaurants are a 5 min walk down the road left of the hotel entrance. Would definitely recommend and go back.…
Arrived to find it’s basically an apartment block on the ground floor. Walked past everyone else’s outdoor seating area to get to your room. No privacy at all. Arrived at the room to find it very dated. Aircon wasn’t working. Towel rail and toilet roll holder both fell of. Fridge was warm and ants on the work surface. Complained to reception about no aircon (it was 35 degrees outside) they told us that we have an old unit that needs replacing and they can’t guarantee when that will be. Explained that we have 2 young children and it was actually cooler outside in the shade than it was in the room. They said there was nothing they could do about it. Luckily a different receptionist the next day found us a room at the 4star Martha hotel next door. This hotel room was nice and big, clean with aircon but definitely not 4star. Overall a basic nice hotel (not es balero) but won’t be returning. Impossible to get a sun bed. Heard lots of people complaining about the all inclusive too…
This hotel isn’t in Cala D’Or so be prepared for a walk. The close beach is very tiny, so don’t expect to escape the pool and go there. What a pain the pool is, the hotel was probably not at full capacity but even so the sun beds are sparse and a place to put them is even rarer. You have to get up by 8-8.30 and put your towel on a chair to reserve a pitch and then wait for the sun beds to be unlocked at 9. We were only there for a few days so it really spoilt it. On the plus side, hotel is very clean and our apartment was sufficient for the few days we were there. Splurge on a private taxi to/from airport as the shuttle buses take at least 2.5 hours. Also, If you are not a walker then taxis into town are pretty impossible to get.
Es Bolero to is the budget part of Blue sea Martha and you can use all there facilities. The complex is very large and busy, after the 10am release of the sunloungers it is difficult to find any space.around the pool or grassed areas. We spent most of our time off site. The complex seems to be geared to all inclusive, we went room only and found may good restaurants near by.. The complex is situated in the Cala Egos region of Cala D Or an hours walk to Cala D Or centre and 1/2 hours walk to the marina.
We paid extra for a balcony or terrace, there isn’t one. Out of our door across a walkway, under some stairs there was a table and chairs. Apparently that’s the terrace. Terrible drain smell, ants on the work surfaces, light in the bathroom had blown. No hair dryer and none left to rent. No microwave. There is air conditioning which was a nice surprise. It’s more of a hostel than a hotel. I’ve paid less for 4* hotels with all the extras.
Lovely hotel, clean, tidy room, grounds and pools were amazing. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the entertainment team were loads of fun. The food and drink were plentiful. The surrounding area had a lot of shops/restaurants and we were close to the beach, but we did not need to venture away from the hotel.
The hotel is lovely and clean and has a nice chilled out Vibe. We stayed in bolero which is the side furthest away from lively nightlife of the on site entertainment. Rooms were clean and maid service is daily to freshen up and provide clean towels and fresh bed linen. Site is located minutes from a beach with is serene and a nice change from the pool (more to come). Local amenities are close and offer a wide range of variety short walk to marina and a white taxi ride (6€) to Cala d’or. POOL SITUATION Pool opens daily at 10am and that’s where the issues begin, there are people queuing for sun loungers. and spots from 9am it is not organized and becomes a free for all often with people missing out. More sun loungers are needed to ensure all guesses are accommodated. A better system in place would help prevent the pandemonium of a morning, if more sun loungers are not going to be provided, and idea would be to pre position loungers ready for guests to use. We witnessed people reserving sun loungers but not using them at all during the day.…
Started with a 4 and half hour transfer a blue sea is last drop off room was not bad for price but location of room was brill only things wrong is there is only one place where if your all inclusive to eat nice food but repeated a lot only one bar you have to go for your drinks all other bars charge for food and drink in complex entertainment was the same and was really bad reception staff are rude and tell you not there problem like transfer back and your not on the pick up sheet getting told to ring them and sort it out yourself also yoi get told its 21 euros for a safe as s deposit for lock then when you take it back there a 15 EURO charge for a week 5 euro for tv remote also 8 euro per towel and 20 euro deposit per tower we bought some out side for 5 euro rooms you have to ask for clean sheets and room towels you can't fill water bottles in buffet restaurant only at bar over all would not recommend this place apart from it been value for money oh yer another thing is you have to pay for ice cream at 2.50 euro per ice cream and the beach the show you on there site is 20 mins walk small beach is 300 meters away one member of staff stood out her name is Leo could not do to much for you even when you get pork uncooked properly she's only one who went to the chef and told them straight…
