Detailed Reviews
We were originally staying in El Arenal but visited Cala D’or for lunch on day 3 and decided it was far nicer, so on the advice of the owners of Waves bar, we went here to book a room for the next 10 nights.
The room (110) was really clean and bright, not huge but big enough, sunbeds on the balcony, and great aircon. The only thing that let the room down was the shower, it went scalding hot, then took ages to cool down, then would go freezing cold, taking a shower was hard work! It cleaned to a high standard every day.
The pool area was lovely, we were pretty much on our own there on the days we stayed by the pool, huge umbrellas for shade and plenty of sunbeds, not too loud music, very peaceful.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing. They really need to keep an eye on what is running out, fried and scrambled eggs, sometimes hash browns or (awful) hot dog sausages, and the usual terrible Spanish bacon, really greasy and slimy. Breads, cereal, fruit, ham & cheese, yogurt, tea and coffee. I understand breakfast is usually served downstairs but I’m guessing due to low occupancy was served in the bar, maybe it’s better when fuller…..
Great location for bars and restaurants and the health centre across the road for your return covid antigen test (€30), plenty of car parking spaces on the street.
The staff are all very hard working and friendly.
Would definitely recommend this hotel for a great holiday!

I have been coming to this hotel for at least 10 years, it is my favourite hotel in Cala d'or, in fact anywhere. The location is perfect close enough to all the amenities yet far enough way for it to be quiet. The rooms have everything you need Inc air con which is a huge plus the only thing I would enjoy more is a fridge in the room, but I belive you can hire them from reception should you really need one. Breakfast is lovely but on the more than odd occasion I'm not up for breakfast there is a spa right across the road that does fresh baguettes and croissants. Staff are lovely and friendly and I'd honestly consider some of them to be friends. All in all I can't rate this hotel enough and I'm looking forward to booking again got May

A really great location, closer to everything than maps might suggest. This is my favourite kind of hotel, where each room has its own external door rather than going through corridors etc, so it's nice and quiet.
Nice modern room, cleaned daily. Really comfortable beds, and excellent air con. Not sure how the glass bathroom and shower cubicle would work for people sharing the room as friends rather than a couple though!
Relaxed atmosphere, plenty of sunbeds (although the hotel wasn't full) and a daily happy hour at the bar. I didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on how good it was, I preferred the wonderful Clement bakery a few streets away.
Wifi was reliable and fast, and a reasonable selection of TV channels.
Worth noting that there is a nightclub nearby, currently closed but that might make things less peaceful when/if it reopens.
Another benefit was a discount at a certain bars and restaurants on production of your room card.
For a chilled out holiday it had everything I needed and more.

A lovely, quiet hotel located a short walk from the town centre. We stayed for 9 nights in July and loved it. All the staff were really friendly, the hotel's public areas are beautifully decorated and it seems the bedrooms are getting there too. Breakfast had a nice selection. The pool was clean and always had a nice relaxed vibe during the day. There was a good selection of drinks and whilst lunch was basic it didn't really matter as you're a 2 minute walk from the restaurants and cafe's in the town.
The closest beach is Cala Gran which is a 10 minute walk away and the Marina is 5 minutes away. There's a Spar right opposite. You honestly can't get a much better location.
WiFi was outstanding throughout the whole hotel, I was working away during this break and never once had any connection issues.
The only things to be mindful of are that the rooms are pretty basic, there's no tea/coffee facilities in them, and the bathroom is completely glass so if you're sharing, be prepared to either bear all or have to sit outside everytime the other person uses the bathroom/shower.
There is some noise from the neighbouring bars in the evening and night, but I couldn't hear it once the door to my room was closed. If you're likely to be affected by this I'd recommend requesting a room in Block 3.
I'd definitely return again, although it'd be in my own room.

I really enjoyed my stay here and overall it was much better than my expectations. My room was a bit dated but clean. The cleaners were amazing changing the bed linen and towels whilst i was there. I loved the bar overlooking the pool which looked even nicer late at night. I had to pay an extra 12 euros for the use of a kettle which i was ok with. I would have loved a fridge which i think should be standard these days. I didn't realise you could hire one but the previous reviewer said this was an extra charge of 50 euros. A bit steep in my opinion and i wouldn't have paid that in any case. Breakfast at almost 10 euros is not worth it when there are plenty of places doing better for much less. Spar supermarket over the road was very handy if you needed anything. Guests whilst i was there were all respectful and i never encountered any noise after 12.30am. Music in the bar always stopped at midnight. I would return but in future i'll only be going to a self catering apartment that has a kettle ( an absolute must for brits) and a fridge.

+1
Solo female 28 year old traveller. The hotel room was clean, safe and air con included. Towels and bins changed daily. The hotel was nice and quiet, no kids during my stay (2nd week of October 2023). Most of the hotel staff were friendly and polite, a couple of the women didn't even look up or say hello when I walked through the reception/bar, I thought this to be rude, but as I say this was only a couple of the staff, the rest were lovely. Hotel is in a good location; 1 minute walk from shops/bars/restaurants, 7 minute walk to cala dor/petita, 5 minuye walk to harbour, 10 minute walk to cala gran, 15 minute walk to cala emeralda, 40 minute walk to es forti, 50 minute walk to piscina natural (this is not full of water, rather was less than quarter filled with nasty green water). No complaints on the hotel to be honest. The buffet breakfast was great with small changes in meats and pastries daily, all very tasty, included cereals and fresh fruit too. The pool is not really big enough to swim more than a few breaststrokes (as a long limbed individual), but with the beaches close that was no issue for me, so I didn't even go in the pool. As a solo traveller I would not return to Cala D'Or as I found most people unfriendly and rude, the only people I engaged in any coversation with were English or French. Waiters and waitresses were polite, as expected. I didn't feel particularly unsafe in Cala D'Or but it didnt have a warm feel, I was cat called a few times but was left alone if I paid no attention, kept walking and ignored. For me, compared to Kos in Greece, I felt a little isolated and the place felt cold because of the unfriendly people around.
Overall I really enjoyed swimming in the sea and exploring the rocky coast. But the crowded beaches and lack of friendly atmosphere would not make me return.
To reiterate the hotel was great, and not the reason I would not return.

What a wonderful hotel in a brilliant location. Our week away was great. This hotel is a gem in the centre of cala d'or. The whole place, rooms, pool area, bar etc is spotless and the small team of staff work tirelessly to keep it that way. The rooms are small, but are perfectly done so that staying there is not a problem. The beds were large and very comfortable. They cleaned the room every day and changed towels. We had a room with no fridge or kettle, but worked around it and, by the second day, it hardly mattered. Breakfast was wonderful and catered for all tastes. The area is great and everything was easily accessed from this hotel. The beaches are nice but very small, and most of the days we could not get a sunbed and that was in June, but again, we made it work. Lena the Manager was great, professional, friendly and very helpful. The couple of small hiccups we had at the beginning were dealt with by her and her lovely team quickly and well. All the staff were wonderful. But, in particular Dorota and Ezequiel were so good and helped us a lot. Fantastic holiday, fantastic hotel and we will be back. Thank you all of you.

The best is the location, the breakfast and the staff in the afternoon and evening. The rest is bad. The photos do not resemble reality, at least in our case, perhaps because we were the only Spaniards, but our room was very old, the bathroom was very deteriorated, it was quite difficult to use, there was almost no light, and there was not a single window or window. in the bathroom or in the room. The door was made of glass that gave little confidence and forced us to always have the curtain drawn. The pool had absurd hours, it would be for foreigners, since at six in the middle of June it closed. And the best thing was the kindness of the brunette girl with glasses at breakfast who gave her the room number to write down (we wanted to try it as we had mentioned at reception to see if we could get it every day, by the way the room was already paid for in its entirety) and he told us no, that we should go and pay it if we wanted to stay (already with the coffee and dishes in hand). I understand that he does his job but he must be able to improvise in certain situations and run to tell me that in half an hour I will pay but let us have breakfast in peace. In very bad taste, it has never happened to me in my life either in large hotels or in small hotels, we were going to spend three days constantly passing by the reception, it was impossible for us to leave without paying for breakfast on the first day.

They have some "family rooms" which I guess may not have. Probably worth an email to reception to confirm.
There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and a full list of bus routes on a flyer the second you walk in the hotel door on your left!

Stockton-on-Tees, United Kingdom124 contributions23 helpful votesIs there any car parking at the hotel?
Is it possible to have a fridge in the room?
Is it worth paying the extra for an upstairs room?
Hi there!
Parking space costs 5€ per day and the fridge is 40€ rent for a whole week.
Regarding the upstairs room, there is more light coming into the room and the view is clearer. Plus there is much more privacy for only 10€ more.
Best regards!
