A family of 4, 2 adults and twins age 13 for 1 week. I am glad that we only booked for 1 week and not for the 2 weeks. The hotel is in desperate need of a revamp and a good clean. Our room had a small kitchenette but you are only given 2 glasses and 2 cups, nothing else! We only had our room cleaned once but fresh towels daily. Pool area is kept clean but avoid certain beds as they are well used and the bar in the middle makes them impossible to lie on. When we arrived we were told that if towels are left on the sun-beds they remove them but I didn’t see this happen and several days we found it difficult. The air con broke midweek and this made sleeping impossible, when we tried to ask at reception if there was a problem with it, the lady was not very helpful however even when the air con is working it only feels like a fan and doesn’t cool the room. There seemed to be many complaints from guests regarding the lack of cleaning in rooms and the one lady on reception who can be very rude. You also have to put down a deposit of €1 for a plastic cup and €1 for a plastic plate pp, they are well used and not always clean. Evening entertainment was only for small children and not tailored to suit all ages. On a more positive note we found the food to be good and always a variety, poolside food included fries, nuggets and burgers, always fresh fruit and ice creams well stocked and readily available. The staff were very good and did their best to help (apart from one lady in reception) drinks on tap, soda, beer, water, wine, juices and hot drinks, machines in restaurant and also by poolside. Thankfully we still managed to have a good holiday but many other guests sadly didn’t.

My daughter and I have just returned from a week at this hotel. Yes, it is a bit dated but we found it clean and the staff friendly. We had an issue with the shower and this was sorted out immediately by replacing the faulty taps. The food was varied and Spanish, plenty of choice. Sturdy plastic cups, €1 deposit, were used for drinks outside the restaurant cutting down on plastic waste and litter. Sangria was excellent! Complimentary bottle of fizzy wine on arrival which was very drinkable. We found the AC worked well and kept our room very cool. The swimming pool area is small but there are also three sun terraces slightly away from the pool which were virtually empty. The lovely beach is a couple of minutes walk away, plenty of fish to see. The marina is 20 minutes walk away full of bars and restaurants and very large boars. All in all, an excellent holiday. We will definitely be back!

we were moved to the La Marida from our first hotel due to building works, both were only classed as 3* so no difference. Staff were very friendly and most helpful with the few issues we had namely a few power issues in both our rooms and ants in one both issues sorted within 10 mins of reporting. the pools are great but would imagine when in full school holidays it will be very busy, the food was ok lots of choice but they did seem to run out of chips very quickly which could prove a problem to some, the drinks are good I like the idea of the plastic beaker with a 1 euro deposit (you can get a big one if you ask) it stops a load of flimsy plastic cups blowing around the pool area like you get in some hotels for use during the day time. Very close to the beach and a few shops and bars very near, A 30 minutes walk to the resort center or a taxi for 7 euro each way if you can get one (taxi tip especially if coming back from town if you ask for the hotel when you ring up sometimes because its only 7 euro you may not get one but if you say ES FORTI then they think your in one of the big posh villas down the road and always turn up). Also if you do venture to the center if you go to one of the other GAVIMAR hotels and you are AI then they will let you have a drink and lunch if needed.

Just back from a stay here and would not recommend. Air conditioning does not work in rooms, was constantly on but made little or no difference to temperature. The bathroom was awful , marks all over the bath, ceiling , mirror, stains that look like 💩 on the shower curtain, really hated showering etc in it .
Food was ok fairly typical of all inclusive 3 star. The staff were wonderful, definitely the hotels greatest asset.
€7 to rent a beach towel & €10 deposit, I was told when I enquired before travelling they could be changed once during the week, when we went to change there was a €1charge per towel. If you want to drink From beach bar, it’s a €1 deposit for glass and the same if you want a plate.
Pool and sun beds open from 10-6, personally I think 6 is very early. I have posted some pictures of the bathroom on arrival.

In the first day we arrived at this hotel we looked to change it. Evrything was so expensive so we decided to stay. Evrything is very old,the apartment smells, towels very old,nobody change the linen even when I ask the maid and paid her 10 euros to do it ,she didn't come back. Some of the staff very rude, they was doing funny faces when I ask to change my glass for a clean one. I found hair in food. Please don't book this hotel, I'm a normal person, and usually I'm thankful with small things but there was nothing nice. The entertainment very, very poor, every night somebody scream in microfon until 11 pm. They promise to the kids face painting in evening and didn't do it. Aswel the lifeguard didn't let the kids with the ball in pool because he was getting wet if the ball was closed to him,but in the same time they was doing some games with the ball in the big pool so my son was asking me why they are allowed with ball and him not.
Apart of these there is plenty of food and fruits all day ,and the staff from restaurant who is doing barbecue a lady and a men was very nice.
Staff from bar don't speak English.
In apartament you will not found nothing like microwaves or kettle or a cup or glass. The brush from toilet is absolutely disgusting you don't want to touch to clean the toilet, is full of po.. . We didn't let our 1 year old in the ground in room because lots of hair and dirty and ants and another things moving over there.
Absolutely disgusting, this hotel needs lots of refurbishment.

We booked this on a wing 5 days prior .arrived at 1am from coach transfer Hotel receptionist was nice and sorted us out quickly and they had left drinks machine on which was handy for the kids after a long travel from the UK. We got to our room which to be honest wasn't that clean considering it was supposed to be due to change overs litter under the sofa and beds so they obviously only clean what the eye can see etc.housekeeping was very poor personally we had to keep chasing the hotel for fresh towels and bedding as there was ants in the rooms and wasn't swept out all week even after 2 trips to the reception and the manager just rolled her eyes and said typical cleaners so it's obviously a common thing . If the cleaners had the energy the entertainment staff had the place would be sparkling.Air con was a shambles but bearable just blowing out cool air not cold. Pool time was interesting , no reserving sunbeds till 930am and sunbeds get unlocked at 10am and they do not rush to open the pool up and the only way I can describe it is a full on royal rumble there is no consideration if your in the way expect to get clobbered by a sunbed.breakfast spread was brilliant as for lunch and dinner there was not alot of choice for kids other than chips really and the hotel staff are keen to take your plate before you've even finished, guard it with your life 😀 but some fantastic restaurants near by really recomend and fairly priced . Pool side drinks were brilliant for all inclusive , water beer cocktails and plenty of fruit juice and pop but again ants around the pool bar just to lack of cleaning . Pool activities were awesome aqua gym water polo ,volleyball and the entertainment staff were very good at their job and defo.made you laugh . This is not the ritz or the hilton it's a budget family holiday resort 3 star and that's what u get . If there's something your not happy with tuff tits as nothing will be done about it .Beach nice and close its more like a cove but really nice on the eye , we had a lovely family holiday as it is what you make but it will not be my first choice next time. Would I recomend the place? Not to sure there's pros and cons to everything , didn't have a problem with pool inflatables kids had rubber rings and foam floats people had lilos didn't seem to be an issue, lovely children's pool for the smaller children and the bigger pool for everyone else ...local shops and bars close by for all your requirements with some fantastic cocktail bars and a Yates sports bar which offers brilliant food . This is not a negative review for le mirada just an honest one we had a brilliant family holiday but will be looking else where for our next one..

We stayed here for a long weekend and thankfully wasn't a week, the only good thing was the lock on the all inclusive band for the door and that is it. You have to pay 1 euro deposit for a glass in the day and this has to be cash, and believe me they will not let you have a drink without it, and you cannot pay by card or add it on to the room bill. If you have kids you cannot play with a ball in the pool even if its a small one and you are no where near anyone else, also the pool times are 10 to 6 and they close it off so you can't get in before then so its a mad rush around the pool to get a bed when they do, and they will also kick you out of the pool at 6 so they can close it up, they do have a roof terrace for extra space.
We normally stay in all inclusive hotels so we know what to expect with the food but this had to be the worst food ever so bad that we had to eat out due to food not being cooked fully.
Apart from Maxime all the other staff did not look happy about being there at all and some where very rude and unhelpful.
The rooms where cleaned eveyday we where there, but unfortunately the beds where rock hard and like sleeping on a concrete floor, the area around is really nice and we would stay in cala d'or again but definitely not at this hotel.

I booked this holiday earlier in the year for a three night break in the sun. Only recently I read the reviews and I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much.
We arrived at around 11.00 am and although our room wasn’t ready we were given a very friendly welcome and given our all inclusive wrist bands etc.
When we arrived in our room we were surprised to find a bottle of champagne left for us.
Yes the rooms are tired but have everything you need including a fridge and hob. The beds are really comfortable. The separate lounge area is spacious with sofa bed and table and chairs and the balcony has a further table and four chairs.
The hotel was very quiet, no need to get up at 6.00 am to get a sun bed or queues for the bar etc although I imagine it will be a different story during peak season as the area around the pool is very small. There are two sun terraces which give more space but I don’t think I would want to sit there as it’s a bit boring.
There are two pools but these don’t really cater for small children.
The food is ok but nothing to write home about but more than suitable as we only paid £20 each extra to be all inclusive.
Entertainment staff are brilliant dispute not really enough people to join in.
All staff are really happy and enthusiastic with the exception of one English woman on reception who was not rude or unhelpful, just didn’t seem to be very happy in her work.
Location is brilliant. Beach is just across the road. The marina about 15 minute walk away is home to sone amazing yachts. The town and a couple more beaches is about 1/2 hour walk or catch the ting ting land train which runs hourly from outside the hotel.
A good number of shops and restaurants just outside the hotel.
Overall a brilliant holiday, shame we’re not here for longer. Definitely looking at coming back again at this time of year.

We booked this last minute when our trips to Rhodes was cancelled due to the wildfires. On the positive side hotel is in a great location for families, plenty of good restaurants and bars near by and local shops but also quiet in hotel at night. It's a 10 minute walk to the Marina if you fancy a nicer meal in the evening and we went there 3 times to eat during our 10 night stay. Two small beaches close by, nearest only a 2 minute walk and there is a nice beach bar that does good food during the day. Beach has some rocks you can jump off in to the sea but was not great for snorkelling as water not as clear as in other bays in Cala d'or but only a short cab ride to Gala Gran which was good for snorkelling and hiring a pedalo. Can book excursions / car from kiosk near the hotel and we hired a car for trip to the water park and also done the Starfish dolphin tour.
The hotel has a good pool, good size and second shallow pool for smaller kids. We always managed to get a sun lounger even if had to go to roof terrace level but this was still close enough to the pool.
I can't comment on the food as we were self catering so did not eat at the hotel. We also only had a drink at hotel one evening and entertainment was karaoke so not sure what the other entertainment was, during the day life guards organised pool volley ball.
The negative part of this hotel and what lets it down is the rooms. Rooms were clean upon arrival and beds and bins done daily but very dated and could do with an update. We were in one bedroom apartment that had small hob but took ages to heat up and worse thing with rooms were the kitchen area attracts ants. We did our best to clean after use and seal bin bags but still a few found their way up, as we were self catering tended to do breakfast in hotel and this was very off putting. Also the cutlery needs to be replaced, the main kitchen knife was rusty. I knew rooms would be basic but due to above I would not book or stay at the hotel again.

Seen a lot of reviews giving negative feedback which I don’t understand. We have been to lots of 3 star hotels around Europe and this one is easily one the best. The hotel is clean, the rooms have been cleaned a few times over the stay and there is plenty of food on offer. I think some people give negative reviews making out that they eat like royalty at home when they probably don’t, especially us English people like to find something negative but there really isn’t anything to moan about. I am a pretty boring person when it comes to food so there was only a few things i ate at the hotel but my girlfriend eats anything and she seemed happy with the selection. We went all inclusive as it actually worked out cheaper which is good.
I saw a lot of complaints about the air con prior to going but because we went in September it was not too hot anyway but i can imagine in the height of summer it would be very warm in the rooms!
The reception staff were very helpful, we requested a baby cot before hand and it was in the room ready to go. It would be good if they were some bits and pieces in the room already such as a kettle and some other bits that you need but we went down and asked for a kettle and got back to the room later in the day and they had put one in which was good.
Another good point to make is that the Wifi is free and even available in the hotel rooms which normally is never a thing now a days at these cheaper hotels!
A lot of reviews on here saying the hotel is dated etc but for a 3 star hotel it isn't bad at all and we paid a lot more money to stay there for the week than others we spoke to (we booked 2 days before jetting off) and cant complain about anything to be totally honest.
If we were going to be staying in the area again we would use this hotel but i didn't realise at the time of booking that it is not actually in the Cala D'or area and its actually Cala Egos. It isn't a bad thing as Cala D'or is only a 15/20 minute walk but i would just stay in Cala D'or next time as there is a lot more shops, bars and food places there than there is in Cala Egos but overall we had a good stay and it is a positive review for a good holiday.
Also the beach is literally a 30 second walk from this hotel which is great!

No, sadly cannot smoke on balcony, have to go to area to right of the entrance - small seating area with ashtrays - on the plus side it is reasonably sheltered.
There are more places to choose from in the Cala d'Or area.
