A return visit for my husband and I after 38 years following our previous stay in this hotel in 1985. This was literally a trip down Memory Lane because nothing had changed since 1985! For sentimental reasons we were more than satisfied - our room had a stunning view with balcony and our room furniture was exactly the same but this time it was tired, worn, outdated and crying out for a refurbishment. The location and the staff working here deserve it. They were more than helpful and I’m sure they must receive a lot of grief from residents. That said, there was no excuse for breakfast. The choice and quality were poor. There was no fresh fruit…only tinned fruit cocktail, and tinned pineapple. The bacon and sausage were unrecognisable. I could go on. Please please whoever owns this hotel do something quick. We will return to Cala Ferrera but unless improvements are made…despite the happy memories you left us with in 1985, we would have to stay somewhere else next time. Very sad.

The beach and sea is beautiful. The photos don't lie. The hotel has a lovely walk down to it. The beds were made every day. That's where the good stuff ends. The food is bland and repetative at best. I can't stress this enough...its atrocious. There are plenty of reviews saying the same, but I thought it can't be that bad. It is. Food and entertainment is best found at the many bars, cafes and restaurants near by. Would I go back? For the scenery definitely, for the hotel, no.

Where shall I start, firstly it’s like a trip back to the 70s, I first visited this hotel in 1979 and to be honest not alot has changed. View from our room spectacular and the room was clean. Staff very miserable and on our first night we walked into the dining room and walked back out again, this was the same every night for the 4 nights we stayed there, Thank god for Andy’s bar located down the road and the beach bar where staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you . Drinks were terrible, we were paying for them but don’t think we getting what we paid for plus bar staff didn’t know how to make a drink except Maria in the pool bar she couldn’t do enough for you Would we go to this hotel again, no we wouldn’t but yes we would go back to Cala ferrera the location is excellent and Cala ferrera cove spectacular

Extremely disappointed. Usually stay at Inturotel Esmerelda Patk but there was no availability so went for this one. Was my husbands birthday present. His birthday was our 2nd day. I asked for a sunny balcony and was given an awful room over a large flat roof. Worst view from any hotel I have stayed at. Pair of swimming shorts on our balcony. Also balcony was not clean or mopped. Beds were hard which resulted in my husbands hip being in severe pain. My bed was hard and sunken down the centre. Food - we were half board by name only. Breakfasts were supposed to be available until 10am however food was not replenished after 9.40am. So all options not available. Food was cold, bland and uninspiring. Generally hotel needs big refurb! Looks very tired..needs a refresh and new hospitality manager to sort dining experience out. . Weeds growing from planters on every balcony.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are basic but comfortable, the food is buffet style, well cooked and hot. Sorry the bacon in the morning is awful, but then I'm English it's not what we know as bacon. The staff were all friendly and take care of you. You're within easy walking distance of a fair range of shops, and a small theme park for the little ones. We got there just at the start of the new entertainment season, the kids loved it. It would benefit greatly from some investment, especially the rooms decor, showers were tired but hot. Would we stay here again. Yes we would.

The location and views are stunning. Bus stop, shops and restaurant within a 3 minute walk and the centre around 10 minutes. The marina is just a bit further. The hotel itself is outdated yet exceptionally clean. All areas cleaned to a very high standard and bedroom cleaned daily. Never saw anything dirty or even cups/glasses on tables. Aircon in the bedroom worked well too. The staff were friendly and approachable whilst also leaving you to your own privacy. We went all inclusive, the best bit being the breakfast and drinks. We are vegetarian and regardless of this there were limited choices. Lunch we managed to make a meal but dinner we ate out 3 out of the 6 nights. Had we paid a lot of money for this holiday I wouldve been annoyed, however we got this holiday at a bargain price so didn't mind paying for meals out.

Absolutely stunning location. It really is. The hotel is your typical late 70's style and it needs some freshening up inside. Even the lifts require you to close the doors for heavens sake. That beside the location is second to none. Right next to the lovely Cala Ferrera cove. You can jump into the sea from the pool balcony area. The Hotel welcomes all people and cultures. The UK, Europeans, South Africans and The Handicapped. The staff are generally super. The hardworking bar people and the woman who ran the kids club. In the bar and restaurant upstairs they are friendly enough though there is sometime a language barrier and there is one person who batted for the other side. The food is where this place is a real let down. Breakfast - Some pastries and hams and cheese, cereals and yogurts. Bacon though , well I'm not so sure. It just wasn't bacon !! The usual drinks tea coffee etc and fruit juices. Lunch is on either in the main restaurant or the pool bar. Look its not the best. Soup. Ok. Salad and then a few choices of meets and a fish. The chickens didn't look like any chicken I'd ever eaten from. Deserts are ok also. Drinks are available also pay or all inc. Evening meal is pretty much like the lunch set up. By the end of the third day we had had enough. It was empty food and we only used the breakfasts and drinks option from then on. The first tine we ate out we immediately felt much better. Would I stay here again? Yes I would but would only use the breakfast and drinks option. It still works out a decent price. Just so you know. The Entertainment is perhaps the worst I ever saw. I was actually told that two acts had come from the local simple school. Andy's bar close by is a really nice place to go. Enjoy.

Just come back from a lovely 10 day stay at the cala ferrera....First the plusses...the location is brilliant...you would have to go far for a better view...we paid extra for a sea view room and was glad we did...the food I found was passable...I've had better I've had worse...the little bar down by the pool was very good...and run by a lovely girl...Maria...our room was kept clean our whole stay...fresh towels when requested...and clean sheets..the staff in general are very nice...except the blonde haired receptionist...the bar area is kept really nice as well...we had a quiet stay...slept well every night...now the minuses...yes it needs a bit of TLC...but it is a old hotel...we liked the food but a lot of guests didn't...hey ho...my main gripe was the silly wi fi...it was free if you sat in the reception area...but had to pay for it in a room!...its about 7 years since I had to pay for it in a hotel...so wasn't about to start...on the whole we had a good holiday...met some lovely people...we didn't pay a lot...and to be honest the hotel exceeded expectations after reading recent reviews...and yes I would return

Absolutely beautiful location views outstanding. Rooms lovely and clean and we're kept everyday we only stayed 4 nights. We went all inclusive and to say it was a waste of money is an understatement. I've been all inclusive in 3 star hotels before but was shocked that a very small selection of drink was included only 1 beer for the men. Doesn't state this anywhere when booking or we wouldn't have wasted our money going all inclusive. We were shocked at the selection of food literally a rice dish one meat and that was it. Chips and cucumber or lettuce. The food was tasty but the selection is shocking. If you are thinking of here 100% do as it's a stunning location but go self catering.

Disappointment!!!!! Hotel itself has a great location, close to the beach and all shops on the doorstep. And that would be it for good things. We went half board, as we are not drinking. Breakfast 8-10 and dinner 6:30-8:30. same food everyday, no fruits (not count pears and oranges same everyday), no vegeterian options (unless you like lettuce with cucumber), and no drinks included for the evening meal. food quality questionable, i survived on pastry's (little croissants or some chocolate toll) and chips. not even a proper desserts. very disappointing, i know its a budget hotel but expected a little bit more. room was very small for 4 of us, hardly space to walk through the room. kids got bunk bed that broke first night so was very careful all stay. no kettle, or fridge. The hotel is very outdated so we had weird smell in the room. Cala D'Or is amazing place, we will definitely come back there but not the same hotel.
