Stayed here in Aug 2021 (no longer can selct as an option) booked this as a last-minute holiday, the hotel didn’t even have our reservations 😊 It’s a great hotel, right access to the beach, close to shops and restaurants. Not so far from the marina and cala dor centre. Food was quite good as you could have freshly prepared meat or seafood, great selection of salads, vegs and fruits. Local beers & wines were nice. Tables outside had better views but sometimes it was just awfully hot to sit there for a meal. We booked a sea view room, the only complaint is the room was very noisy but this is what we heard from other guests too. Sunbeds had to be reserved early in the morning, entertainment was hit and miss. The movie night was quite romantic, we really enjoyed it. The only negative thing was there were still covid measures in place and had to wear masks in the restaurant when we stood up. …
Just back from a week in Majorca. Hotel is fantastic - staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Location is perfect with a small beach in between the two buildings. Rooms are small but not cramped - we did request a room in the quiet building (the one away from reception/restaurant) only problem was we were beside the next hotels restaurant - so constant noise from there but didn't spend much time in the room so not a huge issue. Plenty of pools areas to choose from - 3 pools, from loud music and great atmosphere to the quieter options. Only real issue was the sun loungers - there are plenty of them but they are WAY too close together - nobody needs to be that close to a complete stranger!! No need for it at all with all the space around. The bathrooms around the pool area could do with a bit more attention throughout the day. Would absolutely recommend and would return.…
The buffet dining room has no dress code, the tattoo brigade are evident, many females inappropriately dressed. In the evening 20-30 minute queues for the buffet. The rooms are modern and clean but if you like a good nights sleep there is no soundproofing between adjoining rooms. The entertainment ends at 11.pm but there can be outside noise from guests late into the night - no control of this from the staff. Cala Egos is very quiet - Cala Dor is a better option. I would question the overall 4+ rating of this hotel.
The hotel is in a lovely position over looking Cala Egos Bay and a 10 minute walk to the marina with some lovely restaurants and cafes. The reception staff were professional and helpful. Our room was spacious, overlooking the bay with a good sized balcony. The water from the shower and bathroom taps is salty, so don't fill up the kettle with it! However the hotel provides bottles of drinking water in the room every day. We were booked in on a half board basis which is where the hotel does let itself down. The majority of guests were all inclusive and this was very noticeable in the restaurant and bar areas. Staff appeared disinterested in the quality of service they were providing. Restaurant staff were unfamiliar with the wine menu, being more used to delivering all drinks in plastic cups, with one waitress breaking the cork as she tried to open the bottle. We also found ourselves constantly needing to remind bar staff that we paid for drinks; that they should be served in a glass - larger than the plastic offerings. The pool area is very crowded with sunloungers, however the pool is very well-maintained. There is a short walk down steps giving access to the beach which is a very pretty, safe area. …
Positives Hotel is extremely clean.Staff work very hard to keep the hotel looking spotless. We stayed in a superior room with sea view looking on to the cove.Would definitely recommend this room or a suite. Food is good with a varied choice most nights. Entertainment is excellent with different bands/singers every night-Queen tribute,Bruno Mars tribute,Motown night,The Hooligans tribute to Bruno Mars and The Beatles tribute band. Really enjoyed Quizzes ,Bingo ,Archery and Rifle shooting every day at the pool Bar staff serve drinks very quickly,no queuing at either the pool bar or main bar. Sun beds-never had a problem getting a sun bed or umbrella.Always lots to choose from. Negatives Hotel is situated in a very very quiet resort in Cala Egos. There are very few restaurants and no bars if you want to go for a drink after dinner. Marina is a 30 min walk along a quiet street with not much to see and Cala D’or is another 30 min walk past the marina. Cove is very small and is a public area with lots of children playing in the sand and sea. Room is open plan -toilet and shower have opaque doors which you can see through slightly. Entertainment only on from 9-10.15 with no music before or after.Acts play at the pool bar which means plastic cups. No waiter service. They only pick up glasses so you have to go to the bar. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a hotel based chilled holiday. Special thank you to restaurant staff who work so hard particularly Elwina?I think that’s her name.Polish girl, dark hair usually in a pony tail.Always smiling, nothing is a problem.…
This is a lovely hotel. i paid extra for a sea view and I could hear the water below my balcony. The little cove is just beautiful. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. The food was also very good.
Me and my girlfriend visited AluaSoul Mallorca Resort last week and it was by far the best hotel i’ve ever stayed in. To begin, When entering the hotel we found out that we had been gifted with an upgrade to a Junior suite for free. Now obviously we were not expecting that and it shouldn’t be taken as a normal thing to do but we were very grateful. When entering the room, we found a lovely bottle of bubbly waiting for us. The food had so much variety and was very nice. a combination of asian, Spanish, mexican, along with chips, pizza as well. Desserts were very nice too. The entertainment in the evening was amazing. We had a bruno mars tribute act, American rock and 70’a when we stayed and it was great fun. Edwin provided great fun during the day with bingo and quizzes but there was also rifle shooting, Table tennis and many more things to do as well. The hotel itself was one of a kind. A beach located right next to the hotel, Beautiful cliffs that you can walk along, Seafront views at dinner, And the list goes on. If you’re looking at reviews before you visit, I couldn’t see how this hotel isn’t 5 stars. It is by far the best hotel i could’ve booked and I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. We will be booking again next year. Thank you to the AluaSoul team for making our holiday so special…
Fantastic stay. Comfortable bed and pillows (as good as home). Lovely sunny balcony. We upgraded to the 5th floor (superior room). Staff in restaurant were great and really looked after us although there were queues (2nd restaurant shut). Especially Laura & Augustina. Food selection was amazing at each meal (all inclusive). Maybe nice to have more cheese in the evening served as we are not dessert people (more is served at breakfast). A La Carte was good but would have liked a choice on the starters/soup. Entertainment was really good especially Queen & Bruno Mars & friends & Flamenco. We will def return if we can
Me and my sister have just returned after a chilled and relaxed weeks stay at this fabulous hotel. At check in we were greeted with a glass of Cava while things were explained to us. The hotel is spotless throughout. All the staff work tirelessly throughout the day, they are very friendly attentive and willing to help. Rooms are very clean the beds are so comfy. We had a twin with pool view. Restaurant food is very good and plenty of choice, with great staff who often check if you want another drink. Bar and pool bar staff soon get to know what you want to drink and we didn’t have to wait long to be served. A la carte food was very good, with great service. I have been many times but the first for my sister who loved it and would definitely return, enjoyed it so much we were going to see if we could stay a couple more days. A massive thank you to Maru and all her fantastic staff who work so hard throughout the season.…
Booked this hotel at the last minute. It is advertised as 60-90 mins transfer from Parma airport. The transfer was only 50 mins……..good start. On arrival we were upgraded to a large suite (2402)…… stunning. The view from the suite was totally amazing. Pool and public beach in a small bay was also amazing. Our first trip to Cala D’or and we were impressed. There is a small group of shops and restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. A 15 min walk takes you to the marina with a large amount of up market restaurants etc. A further 5 min walk brings you to the centre of Cala D’or, vibrant, clean and safe. Back to the hotel. The food was good and plentiful. We were half board as we like the option of eating out, but upgraded to the drinks package at meal times. This was limited to soft drinks, beer and wine. As relatively well traveled people we can honestly say this was a surprisingly good experience and would go back in a heartbeat and most probably will. As they say a picture paints a thousand words, take a look at the ones we have uploaded.…
