Fantastic location, great beds, great service. Only thing missing is a possibility for eating dinner outside. Also be aware that there is A LOT of noise in the rooms on the first floor, which is located under the restaurant, where chairs are being pulled out and put back from 07am until 23.30pm.

A friend and I took a last minute all inclusive break here. Our room (569) was clean and tidy and there was maid service every day. We had a great view overlooking the sea and beach and had a little terrace to sit out on and admire the view. The restaurant opening hours were really good, breakfast until 10.30am and the selection of food was fine for us. There was always something that we liked. The staff work incredibly and we found them to be friendly and helpful. The pool area had a little bar where you could also get food, well looked after and again the staff worked very hard. There is also a beach bar which was very convenient :) We didn't eat there but it's literally a few steps up from the beach. The beach was lovely, always found somewhere to park ourselves (May 2019) We took a stroll into Cala D'or which was worth it. If you like shopping there are loads of things to look at. I have to make a special mention for Cristina Santos (Guest experience manager) and also the house keeper for room 569. I forgot my reading glasses and left them in a drawer in a bedside cabinet. Cristina was fantastic, she located my glasses and arranged for them to be sent to me in the UK. I'm very thankful Cristina. Please bear in mind that Barcelo Potent Playa is a 3 star, in my opinion it's a great 3 star and I would recommend if you want value for money, a lovely beach, friendly, helpful staff and a break in the sun.

This is a great hotel if you are looking for a beach or venue destination it has the benefit of being close to both, and just a 20 minute walk to the Marina. There are some excellent restaurants there and the yacht club has great views and reasonable prices too, definitely worth a visit. The hotel was a little tired but the staff were all great, really friendly and helpful. If you like a quieter holiday I would avoid the rooms above and below the sports bar and music bar, music and noise can go on to midnight.

The staff/entertainers were great. Ricky (entertainer) was the stand out member for us. Bruno Mars tribute very good. Food was good. Biggest let down is the pool. The Pool is far far to small for the size of the hotel, queuing for beds for at least an hour ever morning really let’s the hotel down unfortunately. All in all we had a good time but would probably not have a return visit.

We got a room, obviously not designed for three persons - a kid and two adults. The third bed -for kid - was stuffed the room so it was almost impossible to open the door of the balcony. No refrigerator, no ventilation in bathroom, so imagine, how smelly it was. We had to buy air-freshener... Everything rusty and outdated. A room was directly on the main path, first floor, no privacy at all, so almost all the time we spend with curtains closed - as in cave... Walls very thin, every night I listened to our neighbor snoring. Suppose, expensive rooms do have ventilation, refrigerator and new bathrooms.... The place's terribly noisy. Do not expect to sleep until 23, as music club roars with all strength. Water in pool - cold. Child was so disappointed. Food - breakfast all the same, tooo much British meals, no white cheese and only one type of olives (food you expect being in Mediterranean country). Dinners were good. Some unpleasant ladies in restaurant staff, Very lovely staff in reception.
