We stayed as a family of 7, 6 adults and a 1 year old infant on a Bed & Breakfast basis. We were very pleased with our accommodation, we had 2 pool view apartments and 1 premium room. The rooms were very clean and the hotel spotless and the housekeeping team worked so hard, were very friendly and professional. Only a couple of negatives with rooms was that ours were directly above the entertainment in the evening which was incredibly loud and made it difficult to settle the 1 year old. I would definitely request rooms away from this area when staying again, also our room was next to the staff cleaning room and each morning at 6.45 am the noise of them running water or something woke us up as it was very noisy and the staff room was right next to our bedroom.
The breakfast was very nice, there was a really good selection which was perfect for all of our family and we were impressed with the different milks as we have someone with a milk allergy.
We didn't have a problem with getting a sunbed as there were lots, yes people were reserving sun beds from 6.30 am but we didn't need to do this. Yes the sunbeds are incredibly close together in some areas but there is a rooftop area of sunbeds above children's club for able people to use. I think they could do with putting more sunbeds on the grassy area with some umbrellas as quite a bit of unused space.

The hotel is in a good location and it is easy to get to both Cala Bona and Cala Millor.

We ordered pizzas one evening from the pizza bar and these were very good, large and inexpensive. Drink prices were good price as well.
The animation team provide loads of entertainment for kids of different age groups and adults. The pool area had a lovely atmosphere most of the time, mainly families with young children and as an english family we had no problems with any language barriers. In fact I would say we prefer a mix of different cultures and languages.

We were surprised when we checked out that tourist tax was requested as we normally pay this upfront at other hotels in Majorca and had thought it had already been included when we paid when checking in. This was a bit of a shock luckily we had enough cash to pay for this, just something to be aware of.

We would definitely stay here again.

Dear family, Thank you very much for your great review of our hotel. We are delighted that you had such a good and enjoyable stay. Regarding the noisy rooms, for future stays, we can offer you the back buildings, or the supermarket building, which are quieter. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards Marins Hotels

We stayed here in 2018 and unfortunately due to Covid could not come back in 2020 as planned. We are now 5 days into our 2nd holiday here and I would say overall it’s actually better than before.
We are staying in the premium room with pool view and previously stayed in the block to the right which had 2 rooms and a kitchenette. This room suits us as a family of 4. It’s open plan and has an amazing view of the evening entertainment which we like and also a great view of the sea.
I’ve seen lots of reviews mention the sunbeds which surprises me as I’m pretty much the 1st down at 8:45am (to be clear I sit on the sunbed and don’t go down to just out towels down!) every day has been fine for this. What I also find very impressive is there are around 8-10 staff at that time and earlier cleaning the pool, pool area and windows. It really is immaculately clean.
Another complaint I read about was how this is not for English people. Again, I massively disagree. The entertainment is predominantly in English even when we have been the minority. I love meeting the other nationalities, I see English people everyday at home and it’s nice to play games with the German/Dutch guys who have all been really friendly.
My kids (10 & 7) have loved the entertainment, the animation team have been fantastic and i think his name is JD (lovely lad from Columbia) has been exceptional and takes it up a level. There is always something to do and even when the weather wasn’t great they made a big effort to involve everyone.
I love the breakfast, I’ve had fresh omelettes everyday and there is so much choice I didn’t feel the need for evening food here as we like to go out and explore the area anyway.
Reception have been fantastic and the cleaners do an amazing job cleaning the rooms every single day.
The pool is awesome, last time I came there were 3 and they have since joined 2 up to make a huge pool and separate kids area. There was an ‘accident’ with a little kid soiling the pool and they very quickly cleared the pool and treated it effectively.
Personally I liked the arcade they used to have but that’s now used by the animation team and has games consoles in there which reflects the modern age but still was a nice touch previously.
Location wise it’s situated slap bang in the middle of Cala Bona and Cala Millor, I like this as we go either way on different evenings, Cala Bona feels more chilled with a lovely quiet beach and nice harbour and Cala Millor is more lively with a recently refurbished shopping area and bigger beach.
I can honestly say it’s a great hotel, meticulously ran and having researched MANY other hotels around Cala Bona and Cala Millor I wouldn’t go to any other. Hopefully we can come back next year.

Dear Scott, We can’t thank you enough for the kind words about Marins Playa. Your review means a lot to us and lets us know we’re on the right track! We are very happy to know that the measures we take and the management of the hotel are to the liking of our guests. We also appreciate your denial that this is not a hotel for English guests. We do our best to make all our guests feel at home and of course there are many different nationalities in the hotel. We think it is wonderful that we live in harmony and are open-minded to other cultures, traditions and languages. This is the essence of travelling. We hope you enjoy your holidays at Marins Playa and we are at your entire disposal for any questions you may have. Kind regards, Marins Hotels

I have just returned from a 10 day break at this fabulous hotel. I was there with my extended family (8 of us in total, 3 different families) and everyone of us had a magnificent stay in Marins Playa. I would like to compliment all the staff in the hotel. They were extremely friendly, from Reception to bar staff and waiters, staff in on site supermarket and house keepers. (Sebastien in reception was a true gentleman and a great asset to your hotel!)
The hotel grounds and pools are beautiful and always kept immaculate and the lifeguards did a great job, keeping a vigilant eye. The onsite supermarket was very convenient, had great air conditioning and was very reasonably priced. It had a great selection of breads baked daily. The adult only roof top terrace with jacuzzis on floor 5 was spectacular with amazing Seaviews over the Mediterranean. Food from the snack bar was of a very high standard. Entertainment both day and night was varied and excellent for both kids an adults. The range of food for breakfast and dinner was very good and I liked the fact that you could choose to eat in either the indoor restaurant or dine at the outside pizzeria area, or even go between both of these areas. Drinks were very reasonable and the frozen strawberry daiquiris definitely deserve a special mention! Our rooms were in main hotel block, floors 2 and 3 and were very comfortable. I could not fault them in any way! The hotel is situated in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk to the lovely promenade from which you could visit the harbour in Cala Bona or do some shopping in the many shops of Cala Millor. All in all, I would highly recommend Marins Playa and I would be very keen to return again at some stage!

Great resort for families with young kids. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, great facilities & lovely food.

We stayed for 1 week with 3 children aged 5, 3 and 1. The pools, night time entertainment & playground kept our children entertained for the week.

There is a great on site supermarket that is reasonable and well stocked

The location is great also, 800m to a buggy accessible beach

This is the second time we have visited the hotel and despite restrictions this didn't affect our holiday at all. Masks have to be worn inside the hotel and there are less staff working in the kids club but they work really hard to compensate and are a credit to the company.

A special shout out to the lady who makes the omelettes' of a morning as they are lovely!

A few minor points I would make
1 To avoid a large bar bill, the hotel should start accepting cash of a day time
2 Only finding out a few hours before leaving if you can keep your room on. We had a night flight and had 2 young children which just isn't practicable.
3 The male toilets very rarely had hand soap inside and a few random hand sanitizers were dotted around the hotel. I think there should be more
4 It would benefit the kids club staff if there was a minimum age that children were left alone with them, especially during busy periods.
5 The air conditioning in the rooms of a night time could be a few degrees less (If I'm being critical!)

My family and I really enjoyed ourselves once again, the location is great to go for walks to very close restaurants and bars. I hired a family type bike for a few hours which was just around 10 euros.

I felt the prices of the resort overall have gone up over the past 2 years, a family meal with alcohol was approx 80 euros and now over 100 euros. Having missed out on a holiday last year it was literally a small price to pay!

The hotel has a medical professional to perform PCR (70 Euro) and Lateral Flow Test (30 Euro) who are present for a couple of hours Monday to Saturday.

Overall though we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay again....Thank you!

Dear Mr Karl, We are glad that once again you enjoyed your stay with us. We are pleased to know that you liked our omlettes, let's congratulate the cook . Referring the way of paying on the day of departure, you can keep the room key until your departure, you can charge all your drinks during the day there and then you can pay it all at the reception, in cash or by credit card. Maybe they forgot to inform you about this option. Concerning the male bathrooms, we’ve passed your remark to our head room made, so she can doublecheck that it doesn’t happen in the future. The minimum age of the miniclub is 4 years. And we have informed about the other queries directly to the director. Again, nice to hear that you had a nice vacation with us and we hope to see you next year again! Best regards from Cala Millor. Marins Playa Team

Our experience at this hotel was wonderful. The food was delicious with lots of variety every evening. Rooms were very spacious, well maintained and clean. The family rooms are great with children. The children's bedroom is perfectly located, so you as a parent can go in any direction. Cleaning every day. Staff super friendly. The swimming pool is nice, without having to reserve beds. There is a supermarket adjacent to the swimming pool. The kids club and entertainment are really great for children. Our room was right next to the stage where the music played until 10pm, but due to good insulation you hear almost nothing when the door is closed. I can't think of a single negative about our stay. I never write reviews but this hotel is worth all the praise and the 5 star rating.

Booked in here by accident a few years back as a couple. Was so impressive we came back the next year. This year we came back with our first child, a 2 year girl and although we are on 4th day of 7, the hotel has again blown us away. We are going to Alcudia on Monday which is the location we like best in Majorca, but Marins Playa will always be a regular stop for our family.

The pool is amazing, the staff are top notch, the entertainment is the cheesiest fun you'll find anyway and this is kids heaven. The rooms are huge, modern and clean and the location, situated between Cala Millor and Cala Bona offers fast access to the beach and all surrounding restaurants,

Please do not read into the negative reviews without a pinch of salt OR without reading the hotel's response.

An absolute must for a family holiday with children. There is entertainment for the little ones wherever you look, whether it's a kids' club, a super cool pool with great things to discover or the children's disco in the evening. We are here for the second time and are staying in the apartment about 200m away (house no. 6). It's quieter here and there is a small pool that is hardly used. For all those who like a little less screaming children. Nothing is missing at breakfast. There is something for every taste, from pancakes, all kinds of cereals to freshly prepared omelettes and fresh fruit. The buffet is well stocked and is never empty, whether you go early or late! At lunchtime you can treat yourself to refreshing drinks, ice cream or freshly made pizza at the bar. A small supermarket is directly accessible from the pool. There is also a buffet in the evening. However, we only decided to have breakfast because we like to try out other restaurants in the evening. The rooms are friendly, bright and clean. They are cleaned every day. In the evening after the disco for the little ones there are daily changing entertainment shows. At around 11pm the entire hotel becomes quiet. If you want to spend a day at the beach you have to walk about 15 minutes.

So my conclusion: Absolutely recommended if you are travelling with children and want to have a minute or two to yourself. This will definitely not be the last time we are here!!! Thanks to the whole team at Marins Playa!!!

We spent a week as a family, 2 adults and 2 children, in August. The room was a good size and tastefully furnished. The hotel has 2 swimming pools. The children's pool is very fun with a boat, but the adult pool is too small for these dates. There were no hammocks available, it is a hotel full of Germans and oriented towards them (both entertainment and food service at 9 o'clock they literally kick you out of dinner) the hotel staff is not very friendly, let's say, it costs little to give Good morning (with exceptions)
The food has very little variety and fair quality.
It is located on the second line of the beach. The Hotel is very overcrowded and now that we are in another hotel it gives us the feeling that we have wasted our money on the week we enjoyed there. I save it in the score for the room that was consistent with a 4-star hotel
In my opinion, the Playa de Muro or Alcudia area is more suitable for Spanish tourism.

We are currently staying here for 4 days before we leave for Palma on Saturday on the AIDA.
We were really looking forward to a few quiet days, the kids were supposed to be entertained in the kids club.

Reality: the hotel is fully booked, there is no way you can have peace and quiet here. From morning to night you feel like you are in the middle of a funfair. Music from here, different music from there, children splashing and screaming everywhere, and highly motivated entertainers who are singing some kind of children's entertainment by the pool loudly throughout the whole complex.
The hotel band is still singing out of tune even at 10 p.m., so there is no chance of enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony.
Other than that, the complex is in a beautiful location (be careful, rocky beach!), clean, and the staff very friendly. The food - well, quantity rather than quality.

Conclusion: you have to be a die-hard club holiday fetishist to be able to enjoy it here.
