We stayed a week at the aduts only BQ Sarah in early July and were very pleased with our choice. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff on reception were polite, courteous and ensured check in was trouble free. Any information we needed was available from the well informed staff. The choice of food was varied and didn’t disappoint although the coffee at breakfast lacked flavour and strength. On the breakfast theme the fruit juice was poor and really needs a rethink. Diluting it with water did not make a great choice. The waitresses ensured the tables were cleaned quickly and as we preferred to eat outside this meant availability when we went to dinner. Before we decided on this hotel we noted from other reviews that you had to queue for dinner…………………..well don’t go at 19.00 when the restaurant opens. We left it until 20.00 had the full choice of fresh food and table of choice. I would like to mention Celi one of the waitresses who was particularly courteous. Additionally Javier was always entertaining and made sure we were well watered. The hotel is two or three minutes walk from a quiet beach and a safe area to swim. The pool, was saltwater and very quiet but had plenty of space. Lunch was available at a number of places close by and overall apart from the points made earlier the BQ Sarah was a positive experience.…
I pretty much enjoyed my stay at BQ Sarah Hotel. The staff was very friendly, the interior quite modern. There are just some parts where you can see the real age (e.g. the carpet on 1st floor corridor). But the room was stylish, international TV and most important: clean! I liked the breakfast and the buffet although the dinner buffet could have more choices, but hey, it is only 3star. I also liked the pool area, the swimming pool is not that big, but really refreshing and I really enjoyed that I could have a bath in the swimming pool with a t-shirt on!
My husband & I have stayed at the Hotel Sarah for some 19 years now . we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our family, Our son had his honeymoon there also. How it has changed , Last year it went to adults only, that's fine, but we wanted to take our 12 year old grand son this year, so last year we found another hotel in the area to try before our holiday with the grandson, this year. After 4 days of our holiday we thought it would be nice to show our grandson the hotel he had stayed at when he was 5 years. We understood no children to stay but thought it would be fine to pop in for a short visit early one evening. So myself my daughter in law and grandson went inside, hoping to see some of the staff that we had made friends with over the years,. The receptionist was busy , o we walked toward the dining room , and looked inside the decor is lovely, but we could not see staff that we knew. So we made our way toward the bar area to go to the doorway and see where the pool had been, which is a nice outside dining area.. We didn't get that far, we were stopped by a barman called Jose. His arms raised and stopped us going any further, he told us to leave now, no please, he then shouted at us to leave. No children he said. I tried to explain why we were there, but he was not going to listen , he shouted again & moved toward us, we all felt afraid and upset his manner was so aggressive and threatening,His behaviour was uncalled for.Therfore all our family have said that they would never return at The BQ Sarah again .our once favourite hotel if this is the kind of staff that they now employ. It goes to show how one member of staff can spoil a hotel. Where have all the old staff gone, Ursula, Luis, Carlos, Stefan, and Maria Antionia just to name a few. The decor is lovely shame about the staff. There's no signs in English, saying no children to visit, in fact no signs in English just German, so is this just a hotel for German holiday makers. I would like to know from someone.…
Lovely hotel 200 meters from the beginning of the promenade. Staff are warm, lovely, welcoming and helpful. Hotel is extremely clean and inviting and, due to being recently renovated, is super modern! Pool and garden area make for lovely relaxing areas and are well kept and extremely clean! Food is also excellent. Slightly noisy as it is right on the street (we were right on the corner and coming from a very quiet area with no traffic sounds, I noticed this immediately). It wasn't however, that bad that I couldn't sleep! Tips for Majorca: Hire a car! Definitely worth it! We had a deal through the hotel who's exclusive partner is Vanrell Rentals. 2 days for the price of 3 for 105€ incl. full cover insurance. The car arrived on time and the process was super easy and efficient. Sa Colabra is worth visiting, as is Cap Formentor. Not ideal for passengers who get car sick though.. A very windy road! More than worth it however. Inca is also nice. The beachfront at Can Picafort is good. Lovely sand in most places (sometimes rocky) and beautiful clean water. Only downside is how packed it gets. Literally lying side by side with strangers at times! Umbrella and stool rentals are relatively expensive. Can Gavella is also a definite must do! Really chilled out restaurant with an excellent Paella! Watch out though: The 14€ stated price is actually per person, NOT for the entire Paella! In saying that, it is still worth it! Taxis are also a great mode of transport and very cheap. In general, a wonderful holiday and would definitely go back to Can Picafort and BQ Sarah.…
stayed here 2 1/2 years ago,a very nice small and friendly hotel. rooms ok, bar staff always helpful food good, lots of pool/garden area to sun bathe in can't fault it for a cheap stay would go again.
We had booked half board with BQ Sarah hotel in Mallorca, we then read a lot of TripAdvisor reviews that many people we complaining about the food being cold and raw bacon. Prior to arriving, we had sent the hotel numerous emails asking if the food problem had been sorted, but never got any reply. I even sent them a direct message on Tripadviser quoting a previous review about cold and raw food!! yet still no reply. After arriving at the hotel we found the above mentioned food WAS cold and the bacon was RAW. Raw pork as I'm sure you are aware is dangerous and can cause serious food poisoning!! The staff didn't seem to take this seriously and I even had a go at the reception lady after she was giggling to my face and seem to mock me because most of the holiday I kept on about the food being cold at breakfast and dinner. Even the head chef at dinner said and I quote "this is the third time you have complained about cold food and plates, the plate warmer is broken" The staff didn't seem to know or care what the problem was, but I can rectify this for you!! The plate warmer didn't work and there are no heated lamps over the food to keep it hot,.therefore the air con in the dining area blew over the top and cooled everything down!! the food was only sat on water baths which was in no way sufficient. This is very annoying when you have paid half board to save money from eating out every night, and instead having to put up with it!! It ruined our holiday.…
Nice refurbished hotel, quite but only 5 minutes from the beach. 20 minute stroll along the traffic free seafront to the shopping centre of Ca'n Picafort Hotel is fresh, clean and friendly. The general feel is quite Germanic although as Brits we didn't find this a problem everyone was very friendly. Food is excellent both breakfast and evening meal were varied and flavoursome. We went via Thomson and the price we paid was very good. All n all a very good relaxing holiday.
A bad start to the holiday when I left my bag on the coach, however the hotel staff were without fault helping me get it back. The accommodation was instantly striking, although it is off the public road slightly its white decor gives it an immediate expensive facade. Inside the reception area is minimalistic but comfortable. The reception staff are without fail the kindest people in the hotel and the most helpful, as there is no Thomson presence there they made up for this in rafts. The pool area mimics any Marbella hotel you have seen on TOWIE - clean, smart and expensive, they even have double bed loungers. The rooms are spacious and once more minimalistic, although we stayed in a twin room as a couple the beds maintained there closeness during the night for a comfortable sleep. Small downsides were the lack of kettle and the size of the bath - I don't know how you'd fit a 6'0 male but luckily we're both midgets. Food wise there is a great selection, meat, fish and different salads/potatoes. The desserts are much the same. Breakfast wise it's the same every morning, thin Bacon and normal Bacon, small hotdog type sausages, eggs and beans etc. All in all its a lovely hotel and super close to the beach as well as being easily accessible to the bus route. …
Just returned from a week here lovely hotel very clean fantastic room with large balcony food was vey good always plenty of choice and staff all helpful. Plenty of shops bars and restaurants close by and a lovely beach will definitely be returning soon.
Our stay was amazing. Staff mainly speak German but you can get by on English ok. We had no problems. The staff are amazing and friendly and really helpful. breakfast was ok fresh cheese, ham, fruit, some very thin bacon and different types of sausages but ok (not English), great scrambled eggs :) the main meals where always different and really really great and enjoyed all of them all, we were planning on eating out 3 or 4 times but only did once and didn’t mind one bit. We went out to a place on the sea front about 10 mins walk from the hotel to the beach and turn left (near the small lighthouse tringle thing) and the food was out of this world. Place is called :- C'as Padri and I suggest you go. For the best view of the area go to google maps and enter this location:- 39°45'34.0"N 3°10'00.5"E. There is a tourist train that goes through the whole area, its 4 Euros an adult and 2 per child and you can get on and of where you like and it's great for going down further on the cost. The main beach had loads of straw roofs for cover but was very busy. If you carry on walking down the beach it gets rocky with a rocky outcrop but then there’s another beach that’s a little smaller but very quiet which is where we went and our things where safe when we went swimming for 1- 2 hours. There are very few children in the area main age group is 20+ but there are a few small kids near the beach. Out hotel didn’t have anyone under 16 yrs old. We tried the boat and swim for 20 Euros and it was great and the swim is 15mins but amazing waters. The 89 euro per person Menorca day trip was great. I would advise to make sure the weather is good and the sea is calm as we went after the beaches had closed for swimming as it was quite choppy the day before. Because of this we got very sea sick and it took 2 hours to get to Menorca and 3 hours to get back but a lot of other shops had cancelled their crossings so I don’t blame the company at all in fact I have to tip my hat to them for still providing the trip. You get to see some amazing bits of the island and the old lady that told you about the island was lovely and very interesting. You do spend a few hours o the coach in intervals between stops but it’s worth it The air con is free and works like a gift from the gods lol. The hotel is amazing and clean and fresh so loved being there, the pool was very nice and it had 4 poster beds outside with covers but they got taken up fast. If your up very early the hotel will put out a small breakfast if you ask. The safe is 20 euros and 10 euro deposit which you get back. we also had a second room key, once you leave your room the electric is of as your room key puts power on in your room so for charging electronics i'd ask for a second room key which was very handy. We took 600 euros for 7 days and it was more than enough for 2 of us. Lunch would cost about 10 – 15 euros per person and it was very cheap for most things. We could have many drinks on a night for 20 euros no problem. On the last 2 days we still had 150 euros left as we where half board and only had to sort out lunch so we went big for out last meal and went out to the place I mentioned. Loved it so much went back for lunch the next day and was amazed again. I’ve added a few pics of our meal and the T Bone steak was the same size as the plate and must have been nearly 20oz it was insane and cost 23 euros! If your a smoker!!! you can smoke outside and you can smoke on your balcony. I must stress when you holiday is over you can not smoke in the airport!!! once you have gone past checking and security thats it until you land back home! there is no smoking anywhere in the airport be warned lol i'd give the holiday 9.5/10 and that was mainly because of the area and hotel. Ps there are hairdryers in the bathroom lol and you get itv1, itv2, itv3 and Citv on the tv in the room :)…
