Hotel Son Bauló garners appreciation for its immaculate rooms with picturesque views, though some guests have mentioned noise disturbances and dated décor. The service receives high marks for its friendly and efficient staff, with the entertainment manager's lively program adding to the hotel's vibrant charm. While its beachfront location is a highlight, offering serene sea views and leisurely promenade strolls, the distance from central conveniences and varied noise levels are noted by travelers. Cleanliness is generally praised, and while opinions on value for money differ, the overall atmosphere is considered welcoming.

We had a great stay here in August 2023. Good location for people who wish for a quieter holiday. Away from the hussle & bustle and close to a nature reserve for those that like to walk. One thing to bear in mind getting a taxi can be difficult & if you like excursions think ahead as there are not many close by to this hotel due to the location. Beautiful stay, Lovely staff & good food.

A lovely hotel situated right by the beach in C’an Picafort Majorca The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and the furnishings were good . The buffer restaurant offered good meals with adequate choice There are local shops in close proximity, the main shopping area being a twenty minute stroll from the hotel We enjoyed staying at this hotel and are returning for a return visit next year For those wishing to travel on the local buses to Alcudia Palma etc the bus terminus is a 15/20 minute walk Overall this hotel is excellent. Try it you will not be disappointed.

We visited in September 2023 with caution as we weren't familiar with the Area or the Hotel. The transfer time is long up to 2 hours but we did it in less on our coach. The Hotel is right on the beach which is busy. The Bay is relatively small and sandy but the water is clear and well looked after, their are facilities there and lifeguards. Beyond the bay is a nature reserve and a further beach within a 5-10 minute walk, this is a mix of sand and shingle, no facilities or lifeguards but it is much quieter, there is sometimes nudity. You can explore the nature reserve further and walk to an ancient necropolis which is unusual. The water there is rocky and unpatrolled but it's a great swim back to the resort for strong experienced swimmers (I did this at least a couple of times). There are guys at the main beach selling throws but for the most part they are almost half the price in the local shops. Reasonable local shops very close, Lidl is a 20 minute walk straight up the main road then left at the junction, the crossing the main road. The Staff at the hotel are great throughout. The only objections I heard were from some guests complaining the waiting staff were noisy shouting across the dining room to each other. As for the dining room it is a little basic and sometimes it's difficult to find a table. The Food is good and hot which is great (sometimes stayed in some hotels where it's not!), chefs are very accommodating if you need something, Thank you Carlos and Jose - best omelets). The choices are fine, just remember it's not a 4*. Some reviewers have said it could be a 4* but it would need more facilities like a gym and much better dining facilities, and a greater variety of dishes. Everywhere was clean, sand does accumulate in the rooms but then it's on the beach, the cleaning staff are lovely and do their best - maybe damp mopping would remove more after brushing? We're not big on the entertainment but when we did go down it seemed good. Be aware that if you have a sea view you will also get noise particularly at weekends up to about midnight from the bar across the way who have a lot of live musicians, nothing to do with the hotel though. All in all we had a really good holiday that was value for money and would return again. Local bus fares are cheaper if you use contactless cards or apple pay, you tap on when you enter and tap off when you leave - very reasonable.

3 nights here after a cruise. Really good 3* hotel. Nice pool area with plenty of sun beds. The food was really good. Better than 2 5* hotels we had stayed in earlier in the year! The position right on the beach was excellent. Flat promenade for walk into town. The reception staff were very helpful. The room was large if a little tired. Would go again.

Brilliant 3/4 star hotel right on the beach, food was good you could always find something to eat. Staff work really hard ,the hotel was very clean, Dave who manages the entertainment was brilliant keeping everybody entertained. I never go any where twice just because I like to try some where different but I would return to the Son Baulo.

We stayed as a family,my sister, myself and daughter age 13 in a sea view room on the second floor.Check in was efficient and the view was lovely.Friendly staff and fab entertainment especially the bingo and live shows.Food was lukewarm at best but tasty.Strange rule at the buffet where food is chargeable if you take it from the restaurant so if my daughter missed breakfast there was nothing available till 6.30 pm.Pool was very deep and very cold so we preferred the sea.Menu in snack bar was reasonably priced and hotter and nicer than the buffet so we ate there in the middle of the day.Short flat walk to Can Picafort and Muri. The mini train stopped just outside the hotel. My daughter had a city view room which was noisier but it did get the sun on the balcony in the late afternoon.Beach was beautiful and the nature reserve. We could not get the rainfall shower to work at all so that was very odd.All in all a good relaxing break at a bargain price and we would stay again.Thankyou Hotel Son Baulo!

Thanks for taking the time to send a review. Feed back from our guests is very important for us as it helps to improve our services. About the "rule" at buffet, it is not strange at all as you booked half board, this imeans breakfast and dinner, and of course meals that have not been booked or paid for cannot be taken outside of the buffet restaurantr to be taken later on.

The hotel itself though only a three star was lovely. It was clean, well maintained and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food both at breakfast and in the evening was plentiful and there was a great selection to choose from. We had thought that we might go out to eat on one or two of the evening at one of the local restaurants, but honestly we didn’t want to miss the great food in the hotel so we never bothered. We were in room 364 on the third floor, the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was a good size but my advice would be to try and avoid this particular room as it was above the stop for the Ting Ting train and for all of the coaches that were dropping off people. The coaches started to arrive before 6 am and it was very noisy from then on. We did want to leave the door to the balcony open as we slept as the air conditioning was very noisy and was placed just above the bed which nearly turned us into blocks of ice. Also there’s no walk in shower as one has to shower in the bath. This wasn’t a problem for us but may be for someone with mobility issues. The evening entertainment was mixed, some good and some not so goos, but the three guys from Cape Town were exceptional, they did Motown numbers and we could have watched them all night. If you play Bingo this is the place for you and some people won as much as €380 in prize money. All in all it was a very welcomed and enjoyable holiday, I certainly would go back in a heartbeat, but I would pay the bit extra and get one of the rooms facing the pool. I think this would have turned a great holiday into an excellent holiday.

Situation at the end of the promenade and facing the sandy beach and a nature reserve made it quiet with lovely views. The modernised hotel was busy but well organised, staff very friendly and plentiful, rooms and linen spotless and food excellent with good variety. The sun shone every day too! A much needed holiday for us oldies, level walk along the prom to the town and marina and the minitren stops right outside. Pop musical entertainment each evening and reasonably good number of sun loungers round smallish pool and on terraces. Herons, ducks and egrets all seen in the reserve
