...ruined the end of my holiday. Why? Though I'd checked with EE before I left the UK that I had roaming, I could get no signal in Mallorca, only WhatsApp. So I asked the reception-manager if there was a computer I could use for my Passenger Locator Form. Basically the answer was "No" even though I told him I couldn't fly home without it He said he couldn't allow me to use the office computer .He was unsympathetic & told me there might be an internet cafe somewhere in the town but couldn't say where. Many WhatsApp texts later to my daughter to send her my details enabled her to fill in the form and email it to the hotel, which WAS allowed. A very anxious 24 hours for me, a 77-year-old solo traveller. Receptionist Marga, & waiters Cristobal & Juan-Jose were very sympathetic & helpful, & felt they had to apologise for the reception-manager's attitude. NOW MY HOTEL REVIEW -- PROS: pleasant large room & balcony; excellent standard of service & food in the restaurant - lots of variety, lots of choice including several fish-dishes every day. CONS: watery juice at breakfast (though adding this to bubbly made an acceptable Buck's Fizz) Very few Brits here, international clientele mainly Germans. Only 26 lounger-beds for 400 guests (when hotel's full). Swimming pool is in the shade most of the day. No bar in main building. No entertainment or organised activities. Not much to do in resort, especially when weather's bad (as it was for a lot of my stay) apart from shopping or swimming in choppy sea. As another hotel-guest said "Nothing to do here except look at the sea" SO would I stay here again? Probably not. Would I recommend this hotel? Only maybe.

Let’s start with the location: It is just perfect. Hotel located directly by the Can Picafort beach, which is this beautiful long stretch of a beach. It seems nearly just like the Caribbean’s with its shallow entrance to the water. For people staying away from the beach: nice swimming pool with long chairs, very chilling. I had both: breakfast and dinner included – buffet style. Everybody is going to find something they love, all possible choices – fruit, sweets, English, all (if you really want to feel on top of the world you can have a glass of mimosa for breakfast 😉). High quality food with chef station preparing fresh dishes both in the morning and in the evening. And now the most important for me: the people – everybody delivers the highest quality of service: both ladies at the reception and the chief of reception, the cleaning ladies doing a great job while being extremely nice, to the waiting staff and all the chefs in the restaurant. Altogether it feels more of a five star hotel than a four star one. Next year I am coming back.

Updated rooms were very nice and suitable for northen taste. Suites were very nice and sweet -all blue and white. Room in main building had a very good view from 5th floor. Food was good, with lots of fruites and heathy choices. Stuff was really ver friendly. We stayd in other 4* hotels too on our trip, but this was the best. Our favorite was the area between too buildings with white furniture, best place to sit and relax. Minus is that not all rooms have such a good view.

This hotel would have been disappointing except that the room we booked was a fabulous room. We paid the extra for a seaview Suite to guarantee this, stating we really really wanted a front seaview room for our 9 night stay for special occasion. At first we were put into a room that was facing a building, this was disappointing so reception changed us to the opposite side which was a bit better, the angle of the balconies are not front facing so we ended up literally over the pool but with some sea view. The room was very clean, great shower . the egg swing on the balcony is so nice but on a few very windy nights this kept us awake banging off the baclony! as our room was over the lobby, every morning at 7am a tour guide would prepare for her groups and would drag chairs for a half an hour, this was very loud from our room and i guess was our wake up call every morning !!!! breakfast was average with very little healthy options, barely any fruit, small stale croissants and the same hot food every day, we opted to not go to breakfast a few morning although it was included. The pool was great cos you could walk over to the sea and have a dip this was a bonus, but do not expect to have any snack by the pool, even an ice lolly, a very unfriendly life guard was there daily and told you off ! as a special occasion my sister tried 3 times to organise some champagne for us, this did not happen! Overall happy with the room and location, but after that i can not recommend anything else! Cheaper hotels on the strip

The service was excellent and very patient. The food was delicious and plentiful. My wife and I loved the seafood paella and my daughter enjoyed her pizza too. You do have to wait for the paella as it is freshly cooked so takes half an hour but that is fine. The view of the sunset from outside was lovely. Thoroughly recommended.
