Our standards are high but we found this to be a great holiday hotel. It's located right on the edge of Can Picafort which itself is only five miles or so from Alcudia so it's peaceful and rural but within reach of life. There are lovely walks nearby and busses and taxis within reach if you want to get out and about, We asked in advance for a quiet room on a high floor and got it; the bed was comfortable and the view across the fields very relaxing. Sure the room colour scheme was very dated but so what, is a bedroom for a couple of weeks! The vast majority of the staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. The pool is a large free form shape with varying depths and big enough to allow for swimmers, youngsters, toddlers and games all at the same time. Even when busy it was never over crowded. The pool surrounds are magnificent with a huge grassed area with trees for shade if you find the sun too strong. As for sunbeds they are stacked everywhere. There are plenty of chairs and tables by the bar if you just want to sit and read of chat. There is always a wide variety of food, including fresh grill stations, cooked dishes and wonderful salad selections. Beer and wines are self-service at lunch and waiter service at dinner with very palatable wine served by the bottle. You can eat either indoors or out. As for pre and post dinner drinks there is a lovely roof top bar where all you can see is the trees in the neighbouring woods. Go there, you'll enjoy it…
My first time abroad on my own and I found this lovely sanctuary. I must say I am sad to be leaving. The Rooms are kept immaculate with the friendly chambermaids. I stayed half board and the selection of food each morning and evening was incredible. I never had the same meal twice. The waiting staff are great, especially Toni, who was very attentive 😊 and aware of everyone in the lounge. It’s a stones throw to the beach which is also a little haven in itself with lovely walks and great atmosphere. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and the pool area is a relaxing place to be. Thank you Exagon Park, I really hope to visit again some time 😀
Not a brilliant experience. Rooms in dire need of an upgrade furniture very tired. Tiny television. Food was not brilliant, ok if you like fish in strange sauces food same for lunch and dinner. Outside areas are good loads of sunbeds. Pool was freezing. Service is hit and miss we found that half board and room only served first as they had to pay for drinks. The couple we went with had a great fist day as he fell out the bath having a shower due to no shower mat . 2 days in hospital. We were at front of hotel so the constant arrival and departure of coaches kept us awake most nights . Won't be returning .
The hotel staff were brilliant and friendly. The swim pool was lovely with plenty of sun loungers, sunny and shaded areas. No need to run to put your towels down before breakfast. The room was clean and well maintained. We had two rooms and the mini fridge in our rooms didn’t work and didn’t make any thing cold at all. We went all inclusive for 10 days. The restaurant was nice enough with some days where there would be table service for drinks and some days it would be self service. The food was mostly good. Even if it was repetitive, mainly the cold buffet, salads were the same every day. We need gluten free and one of the staff was very helpful in identifying what we could have even if the labels were not correct. So always ask before eating. The wine was awful, we had 3 different types and they were all vinegar so we gave up on that after the 3rd day. The pool bar was mostly good with the exception of some staff that didn’t know what was included on the all inclusive holiday, we didn’t have ice cream for two days as we were told it wasn’t inclusive when it was. The same happened to some drinks. The entertainment was good. The only thing that was really annoying was the lack of public transport or taxis. We wanted to visit other places for dinner and we couldn’t get a taxi to go anywhere, even trying to book from the hotel and the taxi didn’t show. It is a long walk to the main area so it was lucky we went all inclusive.…
Overall a very enjoyable week at the Exagon Park Hotel. First impressions were very good. The hotel is set in quiet surroundings with woods to the rear. A pathway leads down to the beach a short walk away. Rooms are perfectly acceptable and very clean, beds are firm but comfortable. The layout is straightforward with a large sunbathing area around the pool surrounded by a larger grassed area with plenty of sunbeds and tree shade. Reception, outdoor and indoor bar areas were all very good and well laid out. Staff throughout were courteous and efficient. There are a few minor niggles however, power points are limited, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom (a small extension lead/multiple adapter is advisable). Bathroom facilities were fine although the shower over the bath could do with updating. There were no tea making facilities in the room however we did ask at reception and were (unexpectedly) given a kettle. We had to gather our own teabags/cup/milk/spoon from the dining area! The dining room experience wasn't the best, it could feel crowded and could be busy at certain times. The food however was very good although we have had more choice elsewhere. Staffing could also be an issue in the evening as drinks needed to be ordered. Activities during the day were popular and the entertainment staff worked hard. Evening entertainment was generally good, as expected some nights were better than others. Overall a very nice, relaxing holiday. Would have been 5 stars with a better dining room experience on an evening…
And again another outstanding holiday at exagon Park. This was our 2nd holiday at exagon Park and we will be back again. We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning due to our flight being delayed but were instantly checked in with a warm, friendly welcome, we were offered food and drink and shown to our room within minutes of arriving. Everything here is spacious, immaculately clean in a relaxed friendly environment. We were greeted the next day like friends even though it was over a year since we last visited. Every member of staff from the director to the housekeepers are warm friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly cleaned daily by lovely friendly housekeepers. No matter what time you get up in the day there are more than enough sunbeds, no need to get up at 6am to reserve a bed!! The gardens and pool area are vast and spacious and well attended. The food is excellent with a wide variety of choice to cater for all tastes. A special mention to llorens the restaurant manager who runs the team like clockwork always happy, friendly and nothing is too much trouble he is our holiday best friend 😊 with his cheeky smile and great sense of humour!! The director even took the time to speak to us and arranged for us to have dinner on the last day as we had a late flight home. It's the attention to details and the personal touch that makes this our special place in Mallorca. For us Exagon Park is 10/10 for quality, environment and excellent staff. See you all again next year 🍻👍…
This a a good value place near a lovely beach. We went fir a 3 day family party and it suited our needs perfectly. Lots of shade round the pool, breakfast is the best meal! Lovely salads at lunch and the bread is amazing for a buffet hotel. Not so huge a hotel you get lost!
Ok so firstly some positives about this hotel: Staff are great Lovely indoor bar area and terrace bar Good location (it’s out the way of all the hustle and bustle) if you want to go into Can Picafort it’s about a 20/30 minute walk Lovely beach about a 10 min walk away The Pool area - great pool with lots of sun beds and an outdoor bar where you can order food and get drinks Hotel will loan you beach towels for a small refundable deposit Unfortunately, as the week went on there were more and more cons to this hotel, nicely rounded off by seeing a mouse in the bread basket this morning by the toaster… I think that just tipped me over the edge Hotel - the hotel, especially the rooms; are very dated. I can imagine this hotel was great in its hay day but it is in desperate need of a revamp. Food - the hotel will say they don’t advertise gourmet food, but being a four star hotel (which I have to disagree with) the food was below standard. Nothing is labelled to tell you what’s in it, and with a shellfish allergy, when I asked one of the staff what was in the paella and they told me it was vegetarian, only for me to find a crab claw in it, I really wasn’t very happy. Breakfast I thought was ok, until when my husband finished a cup of coffee there was bits and pieces all in the bottom of it and today at breakfast before we left there was a bloody mouse in the break basket where the bread was (Come on Exagon Park this is not good) I wasn’t the only person to see this so I expect others will mention this and I will be sending an email to our tour operator as well. Suffice to say, we didn’t eat dinner at the hotel from about day 2, just breakfast but only toast… which obviously wasn’t safe either!! There aren’t enough restaurant staff, tables were often dirty and as the hotel filled up during the week it became apparent that more restaurant staff were needed. The poor staff in there are running around like headless chickens. Our room was at the back of the hotel; every morning about 7am the delivery trucks were there so absolutley no chance of a lie in!! But what I will say about the rooms was that, although in desperate need of a revamp, they were clean and everyday the chambermaids visited and left fresh towels (if you wanted) and had a good old clean of the room, made the beds etc This hotel is advertised as a 4 star…. It really isn’t, I’ve visited many 4 and 5 star hotels and this is 3 star at a push. Revamp needed both decor wise and with the food. I was constantly worried about eating there incase I got ill! I just don’t know whether I enjoyed this place or not… I think initially I could deal with things like the decor, but the food thing got me and I hate to give a bad review when the staff were so amazing. Safe to say, I don’t think that we will be back to this hotel which is a shame as it has great potential.…
This was exactly what I wanted! It’s a lovely hotel. Spacious, immaculate and comfortable. All the staff are both friendly and professional. The food was great. I was half-board and both breakfast and the evening meals were plentiful, varied and delicious. My bedroom overlooked the lawn at the back and was beautifully back. The bed was very comfortable! It’s always lovely that all rooms have either a terrace or balcony. The pool area is fab with loads of sun loungers so it never feels over busy and there are always lots of sun loungers to choose from, both around the pool and in the garden. The animation team were great - they were always friendly, never pushy and knew when to leave you alone. The hotel is in a great location - in a quiet residential area but easy to walk into Can Picafort within 30 minutes and there are some lovely walks along the river to the beach. If you don’t want to walk then the little land train goes every 20 minutes from outside the hotel. All in all it’s been an ideal holiday and I’d definitely return. Highly recommend!…
Our family have just returned from the Exagon hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We loved the location just a few minutes pleasant walk to the beach & about 20 mins from the main town. The grounds around the hotel are lovely and there were always plenty of sun beds. Plenty of activities if you want to join in but without any pressure. All the staff were friendly and helpful from reception bar/restaurant staff to cleaners. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms good size and immaculately clean. Shower gel & soap provided so maybe pop other toiletries in your case if needed. Food & especially drinks very good for all inclusive & plenty of choice.
