We stayed for 3 nights in the Hotel Sultan, on arrival in the early hours due to flight delays etc we were greeted by the very friendly and welcoming Veronica at the reception who went through all the details we needed, She even opened the bar for us to have a nightcap.
The rooms are basic but clean, the rooms have air conditioning which works pretty well. It also has a fridge, which you have to pay a daily charge for a key to use (3euros).
Its a B and B hotel and as you`d expect its continental breakfast which is Ok if you like that sort of breakfast.
All the staff were friendly enough and helped with any questions we had.
The pool area is clean and tidy, although if you want a sunbed you have to be up early to get one.
All in all a decent Hotel, we were glad we booked it last minute.

A small and no frills hotel that is great value for money.
The room was basic but still plenty of storage. Beds were comfortable enough. An issue with the shower head was addressed within a couple of hours of reporting it. Extra pillows brought to our room very quickly.
Breakfast very good. Hot food, 2 types of eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes and fried potatoes. Cold meats and cheese, cereals, bread, bread rolls, cakes and pastries, it’s all there buffet style.
Cleaning staff were in every day, towels changed even when not left on the floor.
The location was ideal for us. We were a few minutes walk from the beach and all the bars and restaurants. The hotel is off the main strip so you didn’t have the noise from the fun.
A couple of negative points:-
The bathroom grouting needs redoing as quite stained.
Only one socket in the bedroom, apart from the shaving socket in the bathroom. Needed to juggle phone charging, kindles etc but we managed.
We were on 3rd floor, you need to go further up for a seaview. Our balcony overlooked a tired looking building but it was sunny so great for drying your towels and swimwear. We didn’t sit out there as so close to the beach.
The pool is across a small road at the side of the hotel. The pool is lovely and cool with sunbeds and parasols in good condition. There is a pool bar there with what I think were downstairs toilets but this remained closed whilst we were there. You have a short walk into the hotel for toilets and bar but it was a shame the pool bar wasn’t open.
We had an early transfer home so we were leaving before breakfast starts (8.00-10.00). When I asked if we could could have an early breakfast or even just coffee, we were told no, there are no staff. Given that the reception is manned 24/7 and they have a coffee machine behind the bar, I felt they were disappointingly unhelpful. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I have never had that in any other hotel I’ve stayed in where they didn’t offer something for their guests on an early check out.
That aside we had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. We had everything we needed for a great holiday albeit on a no frills basis.

Me and my partner stayed here for a quick (budget) break, I absolutely loved Location and my stay here, the staff were friendly and hotel was clean and adequate .Breakfast was Hot and plentiful and we would sit in the glass side conservatory and people watch, it didn't feel busy or rushed .... Use of pool which is across a side road which is not a problem ... It was a pleasent break Away

Booking cancelled 4 days before arrival due to "payment failure", although I provided all details needed for payment to be processed. The solution offered by the hotel is to make a new booking for double the original price...! Customer orientation is a rocket science for them. I am glad I won't have the possibility to "taste" the customer service on site...

After reading reviews on this hotel we were pleasantly surprised while at staying here. Despite the negative reviews we had a great stay here .This is a great hotel for a bargain price! The room had everything we needed (tv,AC and fridge) was lovely and clean aswell as spacious. The location couldn’t be more perfect only a few minutes walk from the beach ,shops ,bars and bus stops but not to close that you can hear them on a night. The staff were friendly and helpful despite not being the most fluent in English. The decor of the entrance and foyer was modern and stylish however the decor of the rest of the hotel was basic which again you can’t complain for the price of the hotel. The pool was okay, we found it was too cold for us and there was also about a foot gap from the side of the pool to where the water starts.the pool is also across the road from the hotel but Being that close to the beach means if your not to into the pool it’s only a short walk to the beach. Breakfast was a good back up to have but was a very limited selection if you don’t like to have the same thing for breakfast everyday you may not find the breakfast buffet is for you . To summarise I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again in the future!

The WIFI is only at the reception area not in the room so don't misslead yourself when you checking the hotel facilities. I stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks with a broken shower pipe in a room. I've report that issue but have been ignored. The brakfast is ok but was not able to take away anything. Kitchen and management has been watching people how much they eat and returning you back if you take a food away from The restaurant. This is rediculous, I was not able to take a Small sandwich away. The check out is before 10 am which is not comfortable especially if you still wish to have your last brakfast. I do not recommend this hotel. Thight about Money and ignoring !

Are there nicer looking hotels in Can Picafort? Probably but we found the Hotel Sultan to be a wee gem.
Amazing value for money, staff friendly and left you to get on with your holiday. If asked they were more than happy to provide recommendations or offer advice.
Rooms were a bit tired and in need of redecorating but again for the price I couldn’t ask for more.
Great pool area, which was a welcome retreat after a hot day.
Breakfast was fine, nice selection of meats, cheeses, pastries and cereals. There are a number of signs asking you not to take food away from dining room but they also say that if you want to do this then just ask a member of staff.
Location was amazing…less than 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants.
Parking on the street was fine, always managed to get a spot less than a few minutes away.
Overall was a great experience and we would return

What a poor poor experience we had. From the day we arrived, during my stay to the day we left.
The service is shocking, the hardly speak English and are not helpful at all!
They all have such bad attitudes, almost too scared to ask for something!
Do not ask for ice ( this is a no no) was told that if I wanted ice I had to pay for it! Was happy to buy a coke and take the ice and put into my water bottle. I was then told that I should have rather stayed in an apartment where I had a deep freezer to keep my own ice!
You get 1 shabby bath towel ( do not ask for another) you’ll get interrogated “why do you need another towel?”
The breakfast is piss poor! The put the bare minimum out and replenish when asked! Almost like a budget breakfast!
They are all unfriendly and rude!

To think that this island depends on tourism, it is very very sad!
Besides this, the beaches are lovely, the restaurants are great and the sun is glorious! I will definitely be back to Spain but not Mallorca!

Look the hotel is clean the staff are warm and welcoming, yes it’s a budget hotel but I really don’t know why people are whining so much you get what you pay for. For a cheap and cheerful hotel this is lovely. Had a really warm welcome and a peaceful stay. Nice bed and a 5 min walk from the beach . Small rooms but I really liked it here. If you’re not fussy then book it if you want 5 star don’t book a 2 star 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ok it's not a 5 star but it's definitely better than a 2 star. Room is perfect, clean, beds are most comfortable beds I've slept in, staff are absolutely lovely, I found them all extremely friendly, breakfast is basic but fills the gap and look we all overeat so this fills u nicely, nice bar, didn't use pool as fantastic beach is only 2 mins away, spar next door and also lovely restaurant very reasonably priced. Teenagers were happy out going around all the clothes shops in the area, I was very happy with my stay in hotel and would definitely reccomend it, if your very fussy yes you will find fault but it's a good price, clean, great location, lovely staff
