Let me start by saying the transfer from Palma to Cala Rajada was over two hours . When arriving in hotel at midnight the receptionist was lovely and there was a cold buffet in the restaurant which was much appreciated. Hotel and room was nicely decorated but lacked the most important thing to me ...tea and coffee making facilities. I like a coffee in the morning before my shower. TV channels were all in Spanish or German so not able to watch an odd film on the nights it was torrential rain. Food in restaurant was plentiful but it was a guessing game to what the items were as the writing on the items available was in German. I have a fish allergy and was a bit like playing Russian roulette. Overall a lovely hotel and friendly staff and Cala Rajada is a lovely place but geared up for only Germans -eating out was the same-menus in German. We hired a car and toured the island as the weather was pretty bad. Beautiful places to visit including caves of drach, sant Salvador and Alcúdia old town

This hotel is in a German resort which is fine but the hotel itself is a basic 4 star compared to most others. The place is clean and well kept and reception staff were friendly. The restaurant staf were unhelpful and the food was basic and repetitive. We went AI but were charged €15 for 3 small bottles of water, they didn't inform us we would have to pay, we found out when leaving. All in all it was a basic hotel compared to others where l have stayed.

We had a great stay at Hotel lux de mar for the room was nice, quiet and clean, the view from the terrass right next to the swimming pool was amazing and the little path that leads you along some rocks to the beach is very beautiful. We also particularly enjoyed the small spa and two outstanding massages that left us in a state of perfect relaxation. The food was also delicious and the hotel staff reacted immediately when I had to call them during the night because some young people were having a party in their room. If we had to criticise something, it would be that we had to pay for wifi.

Very pleased with the Hotel room but decided NOT to eat at the hotel as the menu was more slanted to German tastes. The Bar food was Good especially the Burgers but steer clear of the lasagne unless it is piping hot......

The hotel is in an very good position with a long sandy beach 5 mins along the promenade and the very pretty port 15 mins in the other direction. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was a bit average but plentiful. Rooms are very nice with large beds if a bit firm and house keeping to a high standard. Special mention for Lucie running animation, hard work getting people off sunbeds to participate, the very friendly Juan and Irina on the bars, Felix the man for local info. On the downside I heard the hotel has been taken over by a German holiday company and will be all inclusive next year and may not be available to the uk market.

Hotel is OK, food is good, rooms are very small but good enough. I don't like balconies on the first few floors which are very small with plastic chairs and concrete walls instead of balcony railings - sitting there is not nice. Location is good, close to shops and not far from great beach. Free WiFi. I spent very nice time there.

Majorca Sept 2016. Family holiday with our two sons, wives and grandchild. All we expected and more. Hotel very well situated. Our room a little small, but our other two parties had larger rooms. Very helpful reception staff on various occasions but especially when they taxied my daughter in law's handbag containing passports etc to airport (75 mins away) which had been left behind at hotel meaning they just made their flight home. Lucie the entertainments manager was brilliant especially with my 3 yr old grandson. Pool bar staff also very good as when my little grandson had a fall poolside they brought him a fancy fruit cocktail (free) which soon stopped the tears. We hope to return.

This hotel is adjacent to the rugged coastline with long coastal promenade walks in both directions to 2 fabulous sandy beaches. 10 minutes walk to the beautiful harbour area with plenty of restaurants (in my opinion better than Marbella) From there you can walk miles along the coastline with different views around every corner. Hotel is 4 star has a good standard of accommodation & restaurant offers good healthy choices for breakfast & evening meals. Rooms are of reasonable size but opening of our bathroom door was very restrictive. Cala Ratjada is very popular with the Germans but there were a few of us English there. Most menus in outside bars were in German but we got by very well & bar owners were all fluent in English. We aim to go back again next year.
