I had several problems and left the hotel after the first night. I will try to summarize: - Arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. The night porter was friendly but had no idea of several things I've asked. - Entering the appartment, it was freezing and very wet/humid. Probably the air conditioner was running the whole day in a very low temperature. I looked for a remote control to turn it off, unsuccessful. - I explained it to the night porter. He said that there is no remote control and only the staff during the day has access to turn it off or higher/down. - So I asked for a blanket. It took several minutes and he found a blanket anywhere. The blanket was stinking of mold. Horrible. So, we had the worst hotel night ever... in a humid room, with a mold stinking blanket and with neighbors having loud sex. - In the morning I booked another hotel to get far away of that very bad hotel. - Also in this morning I went to talk to the manager and explained everything, that I was totally dissatisfied. He was comprehensive and apologized. But anyway I would not like to stay there and I was braking up my planed 3 nights to only 1 night. And so I asked for a compensation from the hotel, as I was not staying there anymore. The manager took my contact details and said he will come back to me. - To summarize, after several calls to the hotel and several times here "we are working on that, but we are busy.." or "the hotel director is analysing", after 2 months I heard "Booking said that yout (the customer) needs to open contact". I kindly asked to forward me this e-mail they got from Booking with that instruction but I never got any e-mail and I gave on trying to get a fair compensation for all that trouble. So, I do not recommend this hotel. They weren't fair, professional and interested on a customer need.…
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Guya Wave. The hotel is centrally located between the beach to the North and the port to the South, and you are close to supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. The multi-lingual staff (German, English and Spanish from what I heard spoken fluently) are so warm, attentive and engaging. Street parking was available for free in front of the hotel and surrounding and we never struggled for a parking spot. They also help visitors hire cars locally if necessary. The common areas such as the lounge and pool are clean, bright and well-maintained. The pool was the perfect temperature and was bordered by a lovely garden to explore. The bonus was that the tall trees provided shade throughout the day on one side of the pool, so there was a lovely mix of shade and sun. Perfect for families. There is a wading pool as well for young children. There is a pool table and some games/books in the common areas. The restaurant served an amazing English/Continental breakfast with a pancake/omelette chef. Our room was large and bright with a balcony a bedroom which had two single/one double bed and a large lounge with a single bed and two convertible sofas. There were only two of us, but a room for 5 people for £60 a night is a great bargain. We were able to get a mini-fridge for the room and there are tables inside and on the balcony for some al fresco dining. The beds were also clean and comfortable and the rooms were regularly serviced. We found it the perfect spot to chill out and relax with two TV's (one with German satellite and one with general Euro cable). Free Wifi and plenty of charging points. We had a fantastic time and I would especially recommend for younger travellers who are new to travelling (but not too much party-people) and are looking for something safe. The staff were so helpful with recommendations and tips that all travellers will feel taken care of. Highly recommend.…
I have only nice words for the Guya Wave Hotel. I had a pleasant stay with my husband in period - end of September beginning of October 2019. The room we stayed in was very spacious and bright. The rooms and the whole hotel are clean. Friendly staff. Good food to everyone's taste. Great hotel location for both those who love shopping walks and those who love the beach. Everything is simply accessible to you. Thank you Guya Wave Hotel. My family and I would gladly come again.
Younger adults/teens from Germany attend to stay here, and could be very loud and noizy at the pool area and at night. Plastic sheets in bed (the plastic sound woke me up every time I turned in my sleep). Great breakfast and drinks for the all inclusive, but I wouldnt pay for the lunch, dinner, snacks for more than one day. Great staff! Friendly, helpful, and funny! Very interested in making our stay as good as possible, I personakt think that we got special treatment as a couple and that the staff was tifed of serving drunk teenagers. Great location in the middle of the beach and the harbour/city. Also totally ok to rent a car at the hotel!
I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and I was pleseantly surprised by it. It has modern and spacious rooms with bright colours and comfortable beds. The food is fresh and it has enough choices so everyone can be satisfied. It has enough variability so it doesn't get repetitive during the stay. There is a nice outdoor swimming pool next to the garden. The visitors are mostly young and middle aged people from Germany. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is a great value hotel and you can't expect better for it's price range.
Yet another amazing time at the guya wave thanks to staff alberto ralph and new addition maria.these people go out there way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble and things are done that fast when requested. Very friendly staff that is always helpful . The rooms are simple but very clean with compfortable beds to sleep in. The hotel is situated in the middle of town and all attractions like the harbor and beaches are in walkable distance. Shopping and restaurants are on the same street as well, so there are lots of options to chose from. I had an enjoyable stay at Guya Wave.
Spent a week using the hotel as a centre for hiking and cycling the area. The area is lovely with small bays and hills all around. Offered bike storage by reception staff, all staff were friendly and helpful. We never experienced any issues with rowdy teens and the few late night revelers were not too bad for noise. We took half board the breakfast and evening meal were very good with a chef on hand to cook fresh egg choice for breakfast and fresh meat / fish for the evening meal. Would recommend a stay here.
Stayed at this hotel, Clean rooms, Spacious room, Food a good range and selection, I would stay in this hotel again Clean towels and bedding every morning Come and go as you please Breakfast and dinner served at reasonable times,
We booked this hotel with danish travel agent "Spies" under the notion of being a "adults only" hotel. Nevertheless the hotel was full of german youngsters (15-20 years old) who was there to party (!). The pool and our balcony was a no-go for us because of loud youngsters and their euro-techno / deutsche schlagers / arabic pop. The hotel had a guard patrol the floors at midnight to close the parties - leaving the loud speaking for a couple of hours. From 2.00 to 5.00 at night young people regularly comes home knocking on doors, screaming in the open areas on the floors and sometimes tuning up the music. We cannot recommend this hotel - unless you are 18 and there to party?
