Hotel's Favorite
I have stayed at Parque nereida a couple of times already and have enjoyed it every time. The hotel itself is in the perfect location with shops, bars and a lovely promenade within walking distance. The rooms are very spacious and very clean and Ive had a pool view and a sea view and both were fantastic. All members of staff are amazing from reception to bar to housekeeping and to the manager of the hotel who likes to walk around and speak to the residents. The day activities and nightly entertainment are the best. There are always sun loungers available at all 3 pools. All in all it’s one of the best hotels I have stayed at and as a solo traveler who travels a lot I felt very welcomed and safe. I will definitely be going back in the very near future.

Very clean. Great breakfast pools and nice spa. Close to the beach and 10min walk to the marina. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. I would stay again. You have the best of both worlds here. The shops and restaurants at the marina and then the restaurants closer to the hotel. It was spotlessly clean

Great hotel. Fully refurbed in recent times. Very Clean. Rooms only on two levels, no high rise. And they are huge! Two TV's , and now with english channels! Pretty landscaped gardens. Three pools. Very spaciuos grounds. Restaurant overlooks the bay with beautiful scenery and sunsets. The food has gone up in quality since previous year, plenty choice, food cooked on request, as well as buffet. Many chefs, and service fantastic. The hotel had a director on site with the aim to improve further. Already made a differnce. Greeted with a bubbly drink, and upgraded our room! Three very nice bars, one on large roof terrace, on overlooking the bay, and one by the pool. At night entertainment was at one of the bars. Staff all round were super friendly and helpful. Close to nearby town and beaches. It takes about an hour by car to get to hotel.

I am a single woman in my late 50s and I stayed here for a week and throughout my stay the staff were so warm and welcoming from reception to housekeeping to bar staff and it was also nice to see the general manager talking and interacting with the guests. The food was great, there was never a queue and there are plenty of sunloungers around the 3 pools there. The spa, the gym and also the extra classes such as aqua aerobics were fantastic. The night time entertainment was great and was played beside the outside bar and watching the sunsetting was beautiful. The hotel is just perfect the hallways to the rooms are the prettiest I’ve been too and I had a seaview room which was amazing and there was always a lovely scent as you enter the hotel and the location is just wonderful. There is a long promenade which takes you to a beach which takes 15 minutes but the walk is stunning. I loved my stay here so much that i have booked again to go back in 10 weeks time and I can’t wait. The majority of holiday makers were German but that didn’t bother me at all. I cannot say one single bad word about this hotel 10/10

Just got back from week here with my daughter. We'd paid extra for a sea view room. The one we were given did indeed have a sea view but it was on the ground floor, dark, decidedly damp and musty and about half of the view included a public car park! There was almost no privacy as people could walk right past our ground floor balcony and, rather worryingly for two women on their own, there was little security. We decided to ask at reception if we could change rooms. We asked the receptionist if she would rather we spoke in English or in German(we are bilingual). She replied sarcastically and with a smirk that it would be best if we spoke Spanish. I apologised for only being able to offer her two languages. She was clearly very annoyed that we did not like our room and said we could have another but that we'd have to sleep in our old one for the night and would probably have to wait until 3pm the following day to get into the new one. We were treated as if we were naughty children rather than paying guests. We obediently returned to our room! The next day, at about 11.00, after having met another 'pleasant' receptionist(!) we got another room - much better: lighter, not damp, a slightly better view and thankfully a floor above our old one. At no point did anyone at reception express regret that we were not happy with our original room or indeed ask if we were satisfied with our new one. Throughout the process, the reception staff were brusque and seemed rather bad-tempered. As for the rest of the holiday, well, it was very good. We liked everything else about the hotel. The food was excellent, the hotel and rooms were very clean, the rest of the staff were really professional and friendly. The service in the restaurant was great.(thank you, Silvia!)The bars were really pleasant to sit in during the evenings and watch the sun go down : reasonably-priced cocktails, good service and very good live entertainment. So...why am I only giving this hotel only two stars? Well, basically, it's because of the treatment we had at reception. This hotel ticks a lot of boxes but we know that if anything goes wrong here (e.g. you lose a key/you're unhappy with the Wifi - not great, by the way! - or there's some problem or other) you MIGHT get help from reception but it may well be given rudely and grudgingly. It doesn't make for peace of mind on one's holiday. Because of this, we will not be returning here and cannot recommend this hotel to friends. Hence the two-star rating. It is a shame that the attitude of the reception staff is not of the same standard as their coworkers.

This is for potential customers, not to praise or criticise the hotel: Positives: In close proximity to everything you need! Excellent WiFi Internet. Good pandemic measures and well maintained rules. Not too little, not too much. Renovated in 2019 in a modern stylish way with total reconstruction of the, entry area, dining area, spa, bars and major changes in rooms and bathrooms. Moved from (partially) self catering family style to Adult only hotel with focus on dining in the hotel restaurant. Rooms all similar in style and are mostly quiet (see my picture for details which rooms to rather avoid) and really large with good sitting indoors and outdoors. Excellent AC, if you need. Great pools (for long distance swimming use the sea). Very close to the sea (rocky shore) with ladders for good entry into deep water or 10 minutes walk to fantastic sandy beach with pine tree forest in the back. Fantastic choice of food at main restaurant. Fresh and tasty. Best or on par with other hotels in the neighbourhood (checked 4 other hotels personally). Order your breakfast eggs from the cook. The ready made scrambled eggs and omelettes are still made from powdered eggs (will that ever end in hotels?). Very reasonably priced, good drinks in restaurant and bars. Great bartenders. The entertainment is international (not focused on German customers, like in most hotels in CR). Even most customers ARE German. In case of issues (which may always happen even in the best place) professional and fast management reaction and successful solution offered. All areas very well cleaned, garden and pool areas extremely well maintained. Lavish vegetation. Issues: Language problem with check in staff at night. Some rooms may be noisy and you may have a problem to leave windows open at night (see picture). Check the glasses in room for cleanness (as in all hotels in the world glasses are sometimes wiped clean instead of being exchanged). Pool bar food is either not very tasty (hamburger) or absurdly huge (sandwiches, calamari) so you leave stuff behind to be thrown away. Water pressure can be unstable, so showers jump from cold to boiling hot. That blinking smoke detector in the bedroom everyone writes about is really a nuisance! Safe boxes for an extra charge of 15 Euro a week - like in the 1990ies. Exit and entry only via Reception or via a "secret" exit by the bar. Even there are other gates that could be operated by card. No place to safely keep bicycles, no clear policy what to do with them. Entertainment can be loud especially in rooms closer to the sea. No drinks menu (price-list) in the main restaurant. No clear information about beach towels. Mechanical piano music in main restaurant repeating a milion times over and over again (still better than loud Spanish rap music on the radio). The restaurant staff is kind, but somehow unhappy. All the details are given to make your choice easier. Do not be discouraged by the negatives. Overall this is great hotel and caters well for most needs.

Went last year due to knowing the sister hotel, Bella Plays, ten minutes walk away for years, but needed two bedrooms. Some staff still there, really helpful still. This year had a medical emergency in our party and they couldn't have been more helpful or supportive, especially to my autistic son, whom it put out slightly, obviously. They are being renovated next year and going up to 4 stat, might have to go back for a nosey! Only thing is they are German and Spanish driven so have coffee machines in the room, but if youask for a kettle you can rent it for 20 Euros which is fully refunded on return. You can also hire beach towels which they only keep 1 Euro each towards washing costs. Pool gets busy, but you can also use the Bella Plays which now has 4 pools!

Good location if you are a family and don´t want to/need to be right in the centre of Cala Ratjada with all the (very loud) bars. It is a short walk, maximun 10 minutes, to the harbour, so you can get there easily if you like, and there are also restaurants etc close by. It is very close to Cala Lliteras, which is a very nice little cove for swimming and snorkelling. The hotel has 3 different pool areas. Our room was nice, not fancy, but clean and with an ok kitchen and comfy beds. The staff at the reception was very friendly. Like all the other places in Cala Ratjada, 99 procent of the guests were Germans, mainly families, and the first language everywhere is German, not Spanish.

Ok hotel with nice pool and near the ocean, but it was 10 minutes to the city and 5 more to the harbour. The fitness center was small but OK. I have prefered to stay near the harbour if there where a hotel with fitness room. The hotel was quiet and there was always sun chairs avalible.

pluses: - fantastic animation team, they spent a lot of time with my kids, special thanks to Oskar, you are a great man, - location, hotel is on a beautiful bay and 15 min walk from a fantastic beach, - room was clean, there were enough towels, air conditioning (manual)worked very good, - shoop in the hotel, - close to the center of the Cala Ratjada minuses: - we booked room with 4 beds for adult person, we have paid for it, but inside room were 2 big single beds, 1 single couch AND 1 I DON'T KNOW WHAT, MATTRESS for last person!!!!!! TUI sold us 3-person room as a 4-person!!!!! It was a joke.......... We tried to complain that, but woman from TUI and people at the reception did nothing to change it. Watch out for it before reservation, it was super room for 3 person, NOT FOR 4 person family!!!!! - only 10 min free WI-FI per day - not enough beds at the pools
