Stayed here end of June . Arrived very early in the morning and was shown to a large room on the very top of the building . The following morning asked the helpful receptionist / owner if we could change the room and was reallocated a lovey room on the first floor overlooking the pool. The hotel is very reasonably priced , clean throughout , has large breakfast room with usual continental breakfast served daily . There is a pool with limited loungers for a dip after a hot days sightseeing . The hotel is situated just yards from the seafront and a great range of bars and restaurants - lots to choose from . Yes - as others have stated Cala Ratjada is aimed mainly at German clientele but that for me only made the resort better . It was World Cup time , and although during the matches town was a little noisy at times , never saw any trouble at all . Lovely relaxed traditional hotel . …
We stayed for 15 nights and this was our second stay at Cas Bombu, we previously stayed for 2 weeks in 2013. The location (just behind the marina) and accommodation is fantastic. As stated in my previous review, don't be put off by it being described as a Hostel, it's more of a family run hotel. Love the interior, reception hall and breakfast area! Room have no luxury touches, but beds are fine and comfortable and plenty hot water. Some slight noise from some guests chatting in the balcony, but it was peak season. The hotel is immaculately clean throughout. Breakfast is fine, always something homemade and fresh fruit. Although we never used the pool, the pool and garden area are lovely too! Top marks all round to Margarita and her family.
I have been there with my partner for summer holidays. We stayed there 4 nights in room 115. The room was medium size with nice classical furniture and a big wall wardrobe and a medium size balcony overlooking to a part of the swimming pool. Except the coffee, the breakfast is good. No TV nor shampoing nor hairdryer. There is no intimity view from the balcony, too many rooms in front and people in the hostal are quite noisy. Most of them are young people partying in Mallorca. Would not recommend it for people seeking the calm.
A lovely hotel, located close to the Harbour and restaurants but in a very quiet area. It is small and retains a kind of retro charm that make staying here an unexpected delight. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
We had the pleasure of spending three days at this incredibly charming and authentic familly-held hostel which made me think of Cuba and a time long gone at the same time. This does not mean that the interior was old or worn-out; but an effort has been made to stay true to what I believe is the original style and history of the hostel. The hostel is perfectly located close to but not in the middle of the buzz of Cala Ratjada. In the case of this hostel autheticity and charm win over luxury.
