The BLUESEA Don Jaime hotel garners compliments for its cleanliness, although some visitors note room servicing can be hit or miss. While the hotel's atmosphere provides entertainment, including live music and activities, a few guests desire more variety. The value is generally seen as fair, despite some grievances about food and extra charges. The pool area and amenities receive mixed feedback, with limitations in space and sunbed availability.
Room conditions are considered clean yet basic, with some maintenance concerns. Service is often lauded, with the staff being friendly, but occasional lapses in attentiveness occur. Its location earns high marks for being close to the beach and local attractions.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed as a couple for 5 nights, booked direct with hotel on website all inclusive, very reasonable price.
Room, lovely, clean good aircon, yes you have to close patio doors for it to come on but this is usual in many hotels.Room cleaned and sheets changed as per information given on check in and scanning bar code in rooms
Staff were very pleasant, all of them we met. Extremely hard working and accommodating
Food good plenty of choice, salads, breads, fruit, cheese pasta, cold meats, hot food dishes, various potatoes dishes, rice dishes, ice cream, cakes, plenty of tea coffee drinks wine larger water, soft drinks, Breakfast good also.
The one euro for plastic cup for drinks when arrive was in our opinion good, no cups left on tables, you only pay once and get it back, saves the plastic waste, when it's evening and pool closed drinks served in glasses. Drinks were good also.
Entertainment was fine, we saw two singers whome were entertaining. There was an issue with new entertainment guy when we were staying but only heard about it from other guests as we were out.
We did eat out also for variety,
Pool not massive but good enough and we always got a sunbed, lovley atmosphere round pool
Loved the area and location and would certainly return based on price and our experience

Dear Klp281716, We are delighted you had such a fantastic holiday! and we thank you for booking with us for your couple's getaway. Honestly, it is a pleasure to have such lovely visitors as you, as you were satisfied with everything we had to offer. We will note our chef is delighted you relished the buffet, and greatly appreciates the acknowledgment. Definitely, you remembered the kindness of the whole team, to which they reciprocate by extending their utmost gratitude, and best wishes. It is great to find you took advantage of our superb location to discover the crystal-clear beaches of the Mediterranean, and explore the multitude of restaurants, shops, and bars nearby. Furthermore, we are thrilled you loved the area and highly valued the little paradise in which we are located. We look forward to your return and we will do our best to ensure you can enjoy more relaxing days here. Best regards from the team. Blue Sea Don Jaime.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 10 nights in September. We both absolutely loved the hotel and the location, literally a 5 minute walk from the seafront, which is perfect as you're away from the main crowds, but close enough to walk in straight away.
Food was very good, as you'd expect with breakfast you have your full English (only a proper English sausage every 3 or 4 days, Spanish one other than that). Fruits, yogurts, cereals, and a lovely selection of fresh breads and pastries.
Lunch was spot on, something different every day, always warm, the stew and ribs were lush! Good selection of different mains, sides, plus salads and cold meats. Same desserts twice a day, individual ice creams and cake, but you just pick and chose what you want.
Tea/dinner times were good, fresh fish or meat, vegetables, plus the "basic" English food round the side 🤣 Dry pasta and chips.
I had fish, chicken, lamb, beef or pork every day, plus mussles, calamari etc, always had something different and was cooked lovely. You are going to a 3* don't forget, many of the reviews on here are acting like they paid for a 5* then moaned about the food!! There is a microwave if you want your food piping hot, I had no problems with the temp it was served at though.
Magda and the other man who does meal times are fabulous! Magda recognises you straight away and talks every time, the other chap is very friendly and does a good job at clearing up after you.
Joel who does the entertainment was fab, bingo, quiz nights and karaoke. Also day entertainment of games, he always asks but never expects anyone to go if you don't want to.
The rooms are basic, single beds pushed together (would like a double!) and only 1-2 English channels on the TV. Cleaner's came every day but we left the tag on the door and only had them in a couple times.
The pool is a good size with steps down in to it, is slightly chilly, but nice and refreshing on a hot day.
There is nothing there for kids, and I would not recommend any kids under 14 there personally. It should be adults only!! Would be perfect if so.
We loved it so much, we've booked for another 2 week AI holiday with the inlaws for when they open up after their winter break.

We arrived at the end of may, arrived late evening and received our room number. First opinions of room was extremely disappointing. There was sand over the bed and bed slats were broken. Bathroom was the biggest let down due to the cleanliness of surfaces. The sink tap was extremely dirty and had appeared not to be clean and the toilet was full of rust at the bottom. We complained to staff and they were helpful and did change are room the following day which we were very grateful for. The new room was so much cleaner and storage for clothes compared to the other room which had 5 hangers and a shelf. No complaints about the room we got changed too as was all clean and comfortable.
Food is another let down. Extremely repetitive every day and not much change. Breakfast was exactly the same every single day which was difficult to stomach towards the end. I would personally recommend cooking pancakes or something else as a option then the usual.
The location was beautiful a lovely clear sea which was warm and a lovely beach for children due to the shallowness of water. We didn’t spend much time by the pool due to the same people laying towels down on sunbeds every day whilst not being there.
Staff were helpful and lovely just improvements would make me want to come back and more pleasant experience for future people.
Thank you

We came to Callor millor Don Jaime early in the afternoon. Outside is spotless, just a short walk to the beautiful sandy beaches and shops and restaurants. We were greeted by a smiling receptionist and welcomed. We were given our keys ( two cards one which you must insert into a wall unit to get electricity and air conditioning on) the rooms are spotlessley clean, from top to bottom. You have a hairdryer in the bathroom ( you must hold down the button in order for it to work ) which is very hot and very good pressure in the shower also. There is shower gel in a container on the wall for you too.
The balcony is secure, you have a little dryer rack which you simply pull down on the wall outside to dry laundry.
The beds are so comfortable if I could buy one in England I will!. The rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed when necessary and I simply cannot fault the food. Various types to suit all diets, different meals every time. I cannot fault the cleanliness of any area in the hotel itself. Food is amazing. You will have to deposit a euro to get a cup for all inclusive drinks, wines spirits and only one beer ( San Miguel) but and I say this with a heavy heart because I'm going to miss them dearly, the bar staff are exceptional. Always smiling and always having a joke with you. All the staff ( cleaners included) have a beautiful disposition and it's hard to say goodbye to them honestly. The pool and sunbed area is always full of sunshine when the sun is out . There is a little pool by the larger one for toddlers. The water is a little cold but when it's 33 degrees it's a welcome distraction. The entertainment is what you make of it. All depends on how you are with yourself. I can't wait to return. Anyone who says they had a bad time here must be too used to the high life or the Hilton or Ritz because this place. Even as I speak we have had a rep come over asking us why we are going home and asking us to stay !! I wish I could. I've been everywhere but these guys really got to me. Left a rip for all the bar staff and left 10 euros in our room for the cleaner. We will be back and we will never forget the food times we have had with our new Spanish friends.

Dear Emilymason73, It was a real pleasure for us to have you spend your holidays in Cala Millor with us. Your very touching review really struck a chord with us, and we can only thank you for every word you took the time to dedicate to us. We are very pleased to know we exceeded your expectations regarding our facilities, the excellent value for money of our all-inclusive, and our varied and tasty buffet; but, what really makes us very happy is that our friendly staff played a part in making your holiday an unforgettable moment. All of us, waiters, cleaners, receptionists, and others, remember you with immense affection, and we send you our total gratitude for your recognition and high valuation. Nevertheless, we do not want to say goodbye with sadness, so we will cheer up thinking that there is less time left to welcome our new friends. We take this opportunity to send you our best wishes and a cordial greeting. Blue Sea Don Jaime.

I can categorically say this is the worst experience of all inclusive I have encountered and to say we were disappointed (and hungry!) was an understatement.
1. Food – one of our party is Dairy Free and Gluten Free, we emailed to advise the hotel on 1st August so that there may be preparations made – not difficult in this day and age. However, there were no provisions made at all for him. He could only have scrambled egg for breakfast and chips for dinner – hardly worthy of £500+ for a week’s holiday. This however, was representative of just how poor the food at this hotel is, I can only describe it as the worst buffet of frozen leftovers I’ve ever seen! Most of our party survived on bread rolls and chips, it was an absolute disgrace – frozen burgers, tiny skewers and nothing worthy of a decent meal on any of the evenings, this was also on a 2-3 day rotation so the same items appeared at least twice in our stay. Breakfast was slightly better, we only endured lunch once during our stay, just as awful as dinner. Indeed the food was so awful we had to pay for a decent lunch and one dinner for the 8 of us each day to ensure we and our children did not go hungry. An additional expense
2. Hotel – the main hotel building was fine, however we were placed in two apartments in a building across the road, something we were only advised of on arrival and which is not great for a young family. The fixtures in the bathroom were a disgrace, dangerous for children and the door frames were hanging off! Our room had the soap dispenser missing, our childrens had no shampoo/gel in the shower.
3. Drinks policy – there is a policy in the hotel of only allowing guests to order two drinks at a time – not acceptable when you are a family of 8 (2 adults, 6 children!) My partner had to queue 4 times to ensure we all had just one drink!!
4. Table set up – despite the hotel being aware of us as a party of 8, every single breakfast and dinner we had to pull tables together in order to sit as a family. Once I could possibly understand but every service? Completely unacceptable.
5. Housekeeping – quality was pretty poor, a service did not include fresh towels or linen at any point during 7 days.
6. Games room – the hotel advertises a games room, however neither of the pool tables worked, the air hockey was broken, there were no ping pong balls or darts and of course all was at an additional charge
7. Entertainment – bingo and karaoke EVERY NIGHT bar two when there were local entertainers whom I will say were very good and a pleasant change.
8. Snacks – advert on the onthebeach website advised snacks available, this simply isn’t true.
9. Dining times – dinner did not start until 7.30pm! With small children and no snacks available this is simply unacceptable.
I could go on! Thank goodness it was close to the beach and we could leave and find other places to eat!
Have sent complaint 3 times to the hotel and their parent company and not a single response, I didn’t want to have to leave a review but there we are!

Greetings Carls1979, Firstly, we would like to make it clear to you that complaints sent via email will be responded to via email. However, we regret you have not yet received your reply. You have also recorded here all those aspects you found unsatisfactory, and for which we obviously apologise. Even so, you fall back on a few remarks only standing for your point of view. Not only this, but you also provide some incorrect information. Having said that, and as it could not be otherwise, we will go ahead to qualify each of your comments. To begin with, you express your major dissatisfaction with the buffet, pointing out one member of your party, who has coeliac disease and is lactose intolerant, was only able to eat chips. The curious thing is then, you continue to to talk about meat dishes, which would not have caused the mentioned guest any harm to eat. In fact, salads are always available for those who want them. There are even lactose-free drinks available at breakfast, so we do not understand why you think we were not prepared. We also find it shocking you expected the dining room staff to set up your tables, as they do not control the reservations by room and number of guests, which makes it impossible for them to do what you asked. On the same subject, you commented you felt hungry, which is something we have never heard from any of our guests. Despite all the above, we are sorry this aspect was so decisive for the enjoyment of your holiday, and we reiterate our apologies for your dissatisfaction. Another point to note is when you report, you were placed in an apartment rather than in the main building. Still, we would like you to understand, you were accommodated as booked. However, it does not mean we are not sorry for not getting to make you feel comfortable. But you say, you were not provided with clean towels and sheets, which we find strange, as there are signs in the bathroom explaining that to receive clean towels, you must leave the used ones on the floor or in the shower. Furthermore, we would like you to consider the change of sheets is carried out according to the protocols set up for accommodation in our category. On the other hand, we would like to clarify, in Spain dinner is not taken at 7.30 am, as even the youngest members of the family have dinner at around 8.00 pm. All the same, we are sorry you found the usual mealtimes of the country you were visiting inconvenient. Finally, we just hope, after our explanation, you will be more magnanimous in assessing your stay on the island. Best regards. Blue Sea Don Jaime.

After a good flight myself and 3 friends arrived at palma airport all smooth travels. Airport transfer was ridiculous 1.5 hours on bus still in airport now that's where complaining stops we arrived at the hotel early hour's lovely reception even had snacks plated waiting for us our 2 room's on 1st floor next to each other spotlessly clean nice soft towels and the most comfortable twin beds. Bathroom spotlessly clean with shower and complimentary soap. Nice balcony with useful clothes drying area. The food is tasty and plentiful breakfast lunch and evening meals lot's of choice and bread deserts and fruit. Drinks at bar are good quality you pay 1 euros initially for plastic beaker for poolside evening is glassware. Pool clean and sunbeds plentiful. I am definitely returning with family thank you x

Dearest Caecoch, Love is all we need! Therefore we must thank you for sharing all your love with us, clear evidence you truly enjoyed your stay. We are truly glad to read about your pleasant holiday in our accommodation, sleeping like angels after having some fun on the beach. Especially, when we learn you sampled the tasty dishes from the buffet. Nevertheless, when you are visiting us again, don't forget to pick up the refundable plastic cup €, because it's only a deposit with the aim of protecting the environment. We definitely will be waiting to welcome you and your family soon. Loveliest regards. Blue Sea Don Jaime.

Stayed for 8 nights with my boyfriend and really enjoyed our experience.
Before coming we read the reviews about the food being poor however we did not experience this. There was a big selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything was well cooked to a good standard. If you are a fussy eater yes you probably wouldn’t be satisfied by the food anywhere.
The staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout the holiday, there was always someone available to speak to if we needed.
The rooms were fairly small however extremely clean and modern looking. All rooms have good size balconies, ours was over looking the pool which was nice. The bathroom had a toilet, bath shower and sink, again was small but was cleaned everyday and had everything we needed.
The bar staff were lovely and the all inclusive drinks were very good. You have to pay €1 for a cup to get a drink however it is just a deposit as you can get it back if you give ur cup back to the bar. At first this wasn’t convenient as we had to get cash out of a machine which was a 10 minute walk away from the hotel so make sure to bring change. Overall we thought it was a good idea as it stops plastic cups being left making a mess and its better for the environment.
The entertainment at night wasn’t great however it was a 3 star standard which is what you pay for. They had a live singer two of the nights and the rest was bingo and karaoke which was fun and quite amusing.
The pool was clean and a good size next to the sunbeds so we enjoyed that too. However, you have to reserve beds early in the morning as people put towels on them from 8 o’clock.
The location couldnt have been better. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the beach ( which is beautiful ) and from loads of bars and restaurants which creates a lovely atmosphere.
On the whole, we both really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend and return in the future.
Dear 425hmw, First of all, we would like to show our sincere gratitude for your descriptive, thorough, and positive review, which illustrates your experience with us. Furthermore, it will definitely contribute to a better stay for future guests. Next, we thank you for choosing us for your couple's trip, and for your kind recommendation of our resort. We are pleased to see you were very satisfied with your visit to our hotel. However, we are sorry to hear it was difficult to find a sun lounger by the pool. Although, we are glad you could relax as you wished on the nearby clearwater beach. We look forward to seeing you again soon and send you our best regards. Blue Sea Don Jaime.

Although the hotel is a bit dated, it is nice and clean. The breakfast, lunch and diner are excellent in my eyes. I had read reviews before we went there, most were not very positive about the food. During our stay, my wife and I discussed those reviews and cannot understand why somebody would give a negative review about the food. There is lots to choose from and we didn’t had the same dinner once during our stay. The sides like the cold vegetables (to make salads) and fries are mostly the same everyday but what do you expect? We had all inclusive so including the drinks all day. You can get as much as you like all day and enough to chose from. Yet I heard somebody complain that the rum and Malibu are of a cheap brand, somebody who was drinking slush with rum from 11 in the morning, all inclusive. Well if that is your standard than perhaps you should go somewhere else.
Personnel is very friendly and helpful.
We stayed with our daughter of 1 year and 9 months. For her there could have been a bit more entertainment. The booking site mentioned a playground but we could not find one. The pool included a section of 60cm deep which was fine for her and she enjoyed that but perhaps it could include a small 4 step waterslide our something like that.
I do think that there are not enough sun beds around the pool. People were putting their towels on the beds from 8:30 when the pool area opened to get a bed. This reserving beds was prohibited only nobody did anything about it. Perhaps the personnel could remove towels and live up to the hotel rules.
Concluding: we enjoyed our stay, the food and the personnel. Biggest downside: to little sun beds in the pool area.

Dear MicheloE479ER, We can say we too enjoyed hosting you because we are not always so lucky as to have guests who absolutely appreciate what we offer them, understanding we are a simple accommodation, with a great value for money. In addition, your empathy and understanding are of great value to us, making us feel proud of the work we do. Therefore, thanking you is essential. Although, it does not reflect the immense gratitude we feel. However, and although it is something that has already been reported to the staff in charge, we regret the pool moments could not be as pleasant as we would have liked. So, we apologise since , despite it is indicated the sunbeds cannot be reserved without using them, some guests oblivious to the rights of others, prevented you from using them with all their rights. By the way, we don't want to forget to add we loved watching your little girl splash around and cool off in the water. For this reason, we will transmit your suggestions about the options for children's entertainment, so they are considered. Therefore, when you are coming back, you will spend a few perfect days. We reiterate our gratitude for your visit, and we send a loving greeting to the three of you. Blue Sea Don Jaime.

Ok so we went for a short 4 night break last week. The rooms are laid out and look nice but all of us got bitten alive by bed bugs from the sofa in the lounge area of apartment which was a shame! (Other guests also complained of same issue) Food is very basic and we didn’t trust the meat selection very mushy and slimy so we turned vegetarian whilst eating on site but ate out a lot. Don’t go all inclusive as eating 3 meals a day there especially for more than 4 nights would of made things worse so save your money to eat out. Snack selection inbetween meal times consist of sandwiches that are pre made and sit in a container on the bar.The staff are ok not over bearing and leave you to Get on with it. Entertainment is bingo at 9:30 followed by a few hits on the karaoke so quite poor. In all honesty this hotel really does have a lot of potential if they just made changes and improved food, entertainment and deep cleaned the rooms not just surface clean to prevent bed bugs. Having to pay a euro for a cup to drink out of is annoying, you do get given the euro back in return for cup but if you haven’t got a euro on you (I use card everywhere) then your screwed! Let’s get on to the alcoholic beverages! I drank close to 15 Spirits and cokes didn’t even touch me even though I got them filling it with a 50/50 mix ((I do not drink normally)) so you would think after 3 I’d be on my way! Vodka seems to be only thing that will get you slightly tipsy however tastes like paint stripper. Location is good 2 minute walk to beach and promenade. Beaches are lovely, shops repetitive and not really a lot on offer same with restaurants. I wouldn’t say I’d never ever go back again and I’d tell people to avoid because with a few tweaks here and there it could be a really good hotel! My highlight was the weather (nice and hot) and the beaches as they are beautiful and the sea was warm to swim in. Sorry blue sea but I hope you take this as constructive criticism.

Dear Helen, When we started to read your comment, we were very concerned because the presence of bugs has never been reported before, and neither has it happened after your stay. However, we checked the room you stayed in, room 227, and found there was no trace of the mentioned. Furthermore, after your departure on 26/09, the guests who stayed in the room did not have any of the problems you explained. Anyway, we understand your concern about the itching, although, we are afraid it was caused by mosquito bites, which are frequent in the area. We are also sorry for the discomfort this may have caused you. On the other hand, we see you kindly provided us with some very interesting tips to improve the experience of those who visit us. Therefore, we thank you for your suggestions, which will be passed on to the management to study their feasibility when making improvements. Before saying goodbye, we would also like to thank you for booking your stay in Mallorca with us. As well as for trusting in our possibilities to improve. Do not doubt, we will continue working to offer guests a pleasant holiday, in a paradisiacal environment, with the best attention from the staff, and an unbeatable value for money. We also seize the chance to send you our best regards from Cala Millor. Blue Sea Don Jaime.

First impressions of the hotel was lovely, it was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. Rooms needed some TLC in terms of new bathroom grout and the odd touch up of paint but that didn't affect our holiday, the rooms were very clean and that's what mattered most.
Great location from beach and shops. Beach was lovely and the strip of shops were amazing.
Daytime entertainment around the pool for the kids would have been a hit but unfortunately there wasn't any other than a pool table at €2 a game and table tennis which was free of charge.
The all inclusive drinks were fine as we arnt massive drinkers so served it's purpose for us.
A little disappointed there wasnt ice cream included other than 1 machine at meal times.
Choice of food was average, however
it tasted nice, salad bar was good with plenty of choice. Dessert bar lacked variety. Restaurant was big enough and clean.
Pool area was very clean and I was very impressed with it being no smoking around the terrace and pool area, everyone respected this rule.
€1 a glass for your drink which was returned when u gave your glass back, this helped with people not leaving drinks cups everywhere littering the terrace.
We enjoyed our holiday here.
