We booked a sea view room on booking.com and upon arriving we were given a room with an awful view of a concrete roof, it felt so dark and claustrophobic and obviously not what we had paid for. When I went down to ask the receptionist about the room she butted in before I could even finish and said that we are to stay in that room tonight and she will give us our sea room tomorrow (it seemed as if she was already aware of the situation which we thought was a bit suspect). I think they may have seen a young couple and thought they could put us in a room we hadn’t paid for hoping we wouldn’t say anything.
Aside from this, the room we moved to the next day was great and had a gorgeous view!
The rooms are basic but have all the things you need. Unfortunately our air con was extremely loud and we couldn’t sleep with it on (not even on the lowest setting) so we were forced to sleep without air con in 25 degree heat). Not sure if this is the same in all rooms. The beds aren’t the comfiest and you only get one pillow, but I’m sure if you ask for more this wouldn’t be an issue.
The food is good and there is a large selection, for evening meal they have a grill with varied meats, soup, salad bar, and varied hot dishes to choose from. There is also the dessert table as well which is always full of different cakes, pastries and ice creams. I feel as though I can’t really comment on this as myself and my partner are slightly fussy when it comes to food so some nights we struggled to eat as there weren’t things we liked on the buffet, but that is entirely down to our taste. Everything is fresh and the cooks are always around to make sure the food is okay and looking presentable. And if anything is ever empty it is refilled straight away. The waiters and waitresses are also really accommodating and can’t do enough for you.
The hotel is based at an ideal location with the beach and the high street just a minute either way, which is perfect for nipping to the shops or just going for a walk down the beach.
Overall it is an average hotel at a decent price. And I probably would consider staying here again.
The hotel and the night at this calla is really focused at German people it seems.
The only suggestion that I would like to provide is related to the breakfast. It should have more fruit ;)
No intention to solve problem, covering their own asses, stalling and giving customer runaround
The staff were very friendly and when we had a medical emergency they were very helpful.
The staff at breakfast, including the chefs, were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Lots of choice and good quality.
The ladies in the rooms were friendly, but they didn't clean properly, there was always sand and the balcony was simply ignored.
I had a very good mattress and the room had everything you needed.
There was music in the hotel every evening and the pedestrian zone was cleaned from 6:30 a.m., in some rooms you need earplugs.
wiffi problem parking also you have to look in the alleys one day I spent more than 20 min to find a place. and the beds are not comfortable. The reception staff during the day they are unpleasant except the evening girl was nice the day we arrived in the evening
