Location is great. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Close to beach, lots of bars and restaurants. Over the road from a taxi rank and bus stops also nearby. Short walk to harbour with lovely restaurants and views. We arrived early hours in the morning (3am) and hotel was locked up. Telephoned the number on the door and someone did come within about 15 minutes to check us in. Pool area small but sufficient along with pool itself. Apartment size was good with a living room and kitchen area with a balcony off and two separate bedrooms with one also having a balcony off. Sea views were also great. Bathroom shower wasn’t very good at all with water squirting from all angles. The shower curtain also kept falling down. The cleanliness of the apartment was atrocious! 🤢 Had to sweep up whole apartment on arrival ourselves as hair all around the floors of the whole apartment. On check in we were advised no cleaning on Tuesday and Thursday but they actually just come in when they wanted anyway so skipped other days and literally only empty the bins. Therefore never get more toilet rolls you have to ask reception which is open 10am-2pm so make sure you ask in time. Even though we had the ‘service the room sign’ on the door every day they come in if they feel like it. No fresh towels after 4 days so we asked at reception. They advised you had to put them on the floor which shows you want them changing. We did this the next day and they totally ignored them! We had to telephone the reception number to get more which they did within about 30 minutes. Bed sheets were not changed until 11 days of our 16 night stay. Equipment in the kitchen basic but would be sufficient if you did have breakfast and sandwiches in the apartment. We only used the fridge and the kettle. The fridge was old and had a summers worth of ice in the freezer! Furniture of apartment basic but did the job. The corridors from room to reception were also covered in hair. What a shame as the location and size of this place could be somewhere we would recommend and return to but the cleaning and lack of cleaning made this place somewhere we ended up avoiding and dreaded returning to.

It gives the impression that it has been closed and that it is gradually being refurbished, because it has a spa, direct access to the street, playground and garage closed. The pool had seaweed and dark water when we arrived but the next day half cleaned it. The apartment was large but old and lacked kitchenware, washing machine, coffee maker, clothesline and dryer. And the terrace is surrounded by pigeon poop. The good thing is.the location next to the marina and they clean the apartment every three days, but the cleaners took my pajamas and I didn't receive it back either an apology or compensation.

Our stay at Solymar Apartments was unfortunately a huge disappointment. The kitchen was poorly equipped—there were no utensils, and it only had a 2-ring stove, which made cooking difficult. On top of that, there was only one bowl, not enough for everyone in our group.

The bathroom was a nightmare, with the shower leaking so much that it flooded the entire apartment. Housekeeping was practically nonexistent—our sheets were never changed during our stay, and we were never provided with fresh towels or toilet paper.

The apartment was advertised with a restaurant on-site, but it looked like it had been closed for years. There was also supposed to be a games room, but that was nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, the air conditioner didn’t work, which made the heat unbearable.

We left feeling incredibly disappointed and won’t be returning to Solymar Apartments again. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if you want a comfortable and stress-free stay.

This review captures the issues you experienced and provides clear feedback.

Rooms were good, Rain came through shutters then through gaps in windows.
Room was on 5th floor , bedroom windows blew in during a storm, living room flooded came through wooden windows, I reported it at 4am and got given 3 towels, water coming through ceiling entrance flowing on to settee while he was sat there watching the computer. and had to clear it up our selves . not even up to the time we returned home did any one come up to our room to take the wet towels away or inspect the damage.
No linen were changed all the holiday, had to keep asking for clean towels, no toilet paper, one bed cover between four of us then gave us three itchy blankets, asked for more pillows but never got them .Most restaurants close up or closing up in resort although it was our children's half term. I no they cant help the weather but helping your paying guest should be more useful.

Inn rotten, C a scam, a comb to escape absolutely!!
it smells like sewers under the kitchen sink, dirty C, the pool is a big scam (ridiculous paddling pool and shade +!!) nobody uses it!!!
No water pressure so difficult to shower because the "thing" to pull to put in shower (broken!) can not get into shower position
I found at least the staff nice until I realized that there is no hot water and that one of them, prefers to drink with his friends instead of solving a problem for his customers .. and he has the nerve to find it funny .. as I do not master Spanish and that my efforts to use it, despite everything, the + possible .. leaves him completely indifferent and when I tell him that I do not really understand his explanations .. he shrugs by making me understand that he does not speak French ..
Well I hope my comment will be translated into Spanish and he will read min discontent...
If they seek to close this Pension they do it perfectly well!!!!

Positives - location is perfect and views are brilliant.
Negatives -everything else!! Tired decor, no WiFi, no towels/bedding change. Doors to balcony don’t lock. No kettle or mugs, only 3 knives and forks despite there being 4 of us. No bar/restaurant which clearly there hasn’t been for some time but still advertised. Second bedroom has bunk beds with no ladder or rail on top bunk so if you fall out, it’s a 5 foot drop onto tiled floor. When we complained to rep, they fitted a toddler bed guard, not likely to keep my 6’1 teenager in bed!! I could go on but probably best to give it a miss!!

Have just spent 10 lovely nights here.
Being a travel agent I’m very lucky to have travelled all over and stayed in many hotels. Now this is by no means a luxury apartment, and is very much a basic 3* but has 5* views, 5* location, 5* staff and is great.

The apartments themselves could do with a bit of TLC, but not to the point they are awful by all means. We had a 2 bedroom with sea view. Great size, well equipped kitchen, amazing view and the terrace area that I loved.
Some beds could do with a new mattress, one of the ones we had was not possible to sleep in, but we had an extra bed so didn’t matter.

With a refurb these apartments could be even better and sell for a lot more, but the price we paid, and from other reviews, I actually expected less and was very pleasantly surprised.

It was clean, the pool areas are lovely, nice and quiet which I loved. Again they could be made better if the bar was open, has a lovely seating area which I think is a shame it’s not used, but then it would make the area busier, I loved having the pool to ourself some days!

Location is incredible. Right opposite the beach. Woke up to the sound of the sea every morning which I loved.

The bedrooms didn’t have air con just the lounge, so a fan could be provided as it did get really warm.

The staff are all absolutely lovely and a credit to the place, really helpful.

The only other moan I have is the cleaner was supposed to come every 3 days, and they don’t. I don’t mind it not being cleaned but we only had towels changed once in 10 days which we had to ask for, so this could be improved. But they did get on it as soon as I asked.

All in all we’ve had a great stay.
I’ve stayed all over this area, and I’d definitely opt to stay here again.

Thanks all and see you again soon!

Where does one start. Only positive is location. No cleaning of room. You do it yourself.. No change of linen/ towels you have to fend for yourselves and ask for towels or get them to change linen..They say 3/4 days it doesn’t happen. Bathroom toilet barely flushed.Water hot and cold you hope for the best. Was a trickle from basin.Shower head leaking so barely worked.Pool never cleaned and is about 6m wide-10m long and 1 m deep.pic is deceiving.People complaining at reception all about the same thing in their rooms. Faulty towers would be better than here.Extractor fan missing over hob. Insulation tape used to connect wires together for light under kitchen unit( that was sitting on top of microwave.

We were apprehensive after reading reviews on here.
We pleasantly surprised by the apartments.
Check in was easy. The apartment was large with seaview.
They do need some TLC. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was reasonably equipped for self catering. We only used the kitchen for coffee & beer. The bathroom had bath & over bath shower with plenty hot water.
We were bed & breakfast but because there were only 6 people in the apartments the lady told us breakfast would be in bag brought to our rooms evert morning. The bag arrived at 8am it consisted of a bottle of water, carton of juice, carton of milk pastries, bread ,cheese ,ham, coffee sachets teabags and sugar. By our second week there was enough people to open breakfast room.
The pool was clean .As lack of people there was plenty of room around it.
The apartment are ideally situated for either Cala Bona or Cala Millor
A supermarket dead opposite and bars & restaurants nearby
All in all we had great stay & loved our apartment
