Had a lovely holiday and will try to be constructive.
Booked with Jet2 and the drop off point for the Hotel is a couple of hundred yards down the road. This is not the Hotels fault but Jet2 should explain this on their site as people with mobility issues or young kids could struggle especially if the drop off is late and it is dark.
When we checked in the Receptionist was friendly. We had to pay the tourist tax as expected but was charged almost €40 for the use of the safe in the room, also bare in mind it’s an old safe which they give you a key to and not one where you create a pin,so you need to carry the key with you. The cleaning staff are very good and clean your room every day.
Got to room on the 4th floor via a small lift which takes 4 people. The room was relatively small and is very basic, classed as a double with 2 singles pushed together. Not a great deal of storage space. The bathroom was a decent size but the lighting wasn’t very good. Be warned if you like a hot shower take it in the morning, if you take one in the evening it’s not even lukewarm warm. The balcony overlooked the pool but the railing was loose and wobbled, not very safe.
The Food is not the best, and becomes repetitive after a few days. Unless you go in when the restaurant opens it’s not always hot. They do put food out at breakfast ie cheeses and hams and they seem to stay out uncovered all day. They shut down and snacks aren’t always available only at certain times. The Bar opens at 10 and is open all day until midnight with a poolside bar as well. The choice of drinks is ok but only 1 beer. The staff do work hard and try their best.
The entertainment is non existent, you have two gents who wear entertainment shirts but just seem to be glass collectors. When they put a disco on, they put a playlist on a laptop and just leave it at that.
All in as I stated we had a lovely holiday, but we spent a lot of time out of the Hotel in Cala Millor. Would I come back to this Hotel-No. If I went back to Cala Millor I would stop somewhere else. This Hotel is a budget Hotel and is closer to a 2* rather than a 3*, it needs updating, but saying that was very busy with multi national clients.

Negative:

It is very noisy in the hotel corridor, you hear noises outside the room, people slamming doors, talking and laughing loudly late at night.

The hotel does not offer pool towels to guests, thats too bad. We thought it would be included and therefore did not take with us from Homei. There was nothing on the website when we booked the hotel that you should bring your own towels. Maybe good to inform the guests about this.

The pool area is completely redundant with pool chairs that are not being used, a bit too many in number compared to the guests. If you remove some chairs, the pool area would look much bigger and airier.

The hotel takes a deposit and a fee to use the safes available in the hotel rooms. We think it should be included in the price.

The rooms lack a kettle and a small fridge so you can keep drinks cold.

The bar serves coffee in plastic cups. When we asked to get a real coffee cup they refused us.
Bad service from the bar staff, they were always stressed and rude.

Positively

Very clean in the rooms and also around the hotel. The cleaners are very nice and helpful.

There is good space in the rooms. It's not too much which makes it airy.

Hard beds.
Ac in the room

Very Nice staff receptionists, cleaners, cooks, restaurant staff. All satisfied and provide good service.

Quiet and nice by the pool area, a little music in the background, no shoals and shouts.

Walking distance to the sea and the center. Close to the bus stop (300 meters) that goes to the airport and Palma. 1.5-2 hour journey.

Our only major problem with this hotel was the exceptionally long transfer time, one hour hanging about on the bus at the airport then over two hours to our hotel making many small drop offs, but you could look at this as a positive as we had a tour of Majorca as we went!
The Blava Vista is a three star hotel and for us was pretty much as expected inside. The beds were exceptionally comfy, great showers and clean towels every day. The bedroom furniture was a little tired but nothing too bad and reception was a bit uninspiring.
The pool area was great, brand spanking new sun beds, side tables and parasols, a unmanned bar where you could help yourself to cold drinks, slushes and coffee.
The main bar was very good and the all inclusive drinks excellent. Good beer (Estrella) the wine was good, Processco included in the deal and great gin and tonics.
The staff must be mentioned as they were absolutely charming , from the chamber maids, bar and waiting staff to the manager they were lovely.
One problem we did have was for the first two days the food on the buffet was only lukewarm. The manager took on board the complaints and new bain maries were fitted and then the food was piping hot. Soup, salad and around six main courses each lunch and dinner. Very good breakfasts.
The area around the hotel is run down but it's only a very short walk to the beach front and the hotel cannot be blamed for what I guess is lack of investment locally over the last two years.
If you dont mind a long transfer, and by the way it was only just over an hour on our return trip then you should give the Blava Vista a go.
But remember it is a three star hotel and you are despite what some guests seem to expect are not going to get five star ammenities

Well cleaned rooms but very dated, Comfy beds made up daily by cleaners who do a good job ,plenty of towels available .Awful bathrooms tiny and tatty looking. Shower head was that old it had fallen apart ,however after reporting it to reception it was replaced the same day with a new one .Very noisy guests shouting most nights until early hours. Food wasn't kept very warm most of it cold except last two days when it seemed to have been held at an higher temperature.Wasnt expecting much as only 3* and cheap but expected at least a better breakfast, maybe like ourselves not many Britons stay there so not really catered for .No idea what they do with the milk but when I showed a waitress how it appeared curdled on the top on my cup of tea she apologised immediately and questioned the kitchen returned to say it was dust from the machine ? ? . Anyway I requested cold milk from the kitchen which was then suitable to make a cup of tea . There was a full entertainment timetable displayed in reception however the entertainment team were poor, lack of personality and motivation,a disco with no disco lights and a guy sat down picking tracks from a laptop. Sangria was offered two days around the pool with music playing occasionally . Plenty of sunloungers available but constantly pestered by flies landing on you so unable to relax .An outside entertainer appeared on stage one night who was very good " Cristianos" I think his name was. San Miguel included in the all inclusive was decent .Drinks stopped at 12pm .Hotel in good location 5 min walk to beach

Well, what to start with… the staff are completely rude and don’t even bother showing you any respect, or even smile.

The room was so bloody small a mouse couldn’t do a cart wheel and it was just unpleasant. When asked for the room to be cleaned they used the same bedsheets and towels, just made them look neat. Every door was stiff and noisy to open. Walls were so thin we could hear people talking from a good few metres away.

Food was absolutely disgusting. We encountered raw chicken, raw pork and noticed food which had been used over a 3 day period. It was just rank.

As a British person, you will struggle
To find anyone who speaks English as well. Communication is not the best.

Pool facilities and toilets were just horrible and no one cleaned them.

Please do not come to this hotel. Spend your money somewhere else. We did the 7 days we were here.

NOT PLEASANT!!!!

My wife and I visited the hotel between 17 and 24 July 2023, on an all inclusive deal.We arrived just before 3 o'clock local time, after booking in which was fast. Anna who booked us in was very welcoming and gave us our wristbands. The room we were given on the 4th floor was not what we expected, after a couple of days we requested to be given another room. Anna couldn't have been more helpful as she sorted a pool view room. The meal times where 8 til 10 for breakfast, 1 til 3 for lunch and 7 til nine for dinner. There was a variety of food for each meal time and restaurant staff were very pleasant. Evening entertainment was varied, with live acts, quiz nights and disco. The two entertainment guys Antony and Pablo were excellent in providing it. The bar had a variety of drinks for all tastes, from slush drinks and soft drinks for kids. To a variety of alcohol from shorts, lager and cocktails. Coffee and tea was also available, bar staff were also fantastic. Pool area was adequate, plenty of sun loungers plenty for all, pool was busy at times. There was also table tennis, darts and other games available. Pablo and Antony also provided poolside entertainment, i.e: pool disco, aquarist and music. If you require a pool view then when booking your holiday it's worth paying the extra, otherwise you will be given a standard room. If you like the beach or shopping ,then both are just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

I don't know why people feel like this hotel is awful and feel the need to give it a one-star.
The hotel itself is basic but good, the food is good (choices very every night and there's plenty on offer for everyone), the bar is good, the pool is good and the rooms are just fine.
It's not a 4 or a 5 star hotel, it's a 3 star, so you go there without expectations of grandure.
We stayed here for a week, and I can honestly say it was lovely. The staff are brilliant. Laying on coffee and tea facilities if you're checking out in the early hours of the morning was a particular highlight of just good hospitality.
So if you're on a budget, you fancy a hotel that does what it says on the tin and is just a 5 minute walk from basically everything in Cala Millor, then you can't go wrong with this hotel. Ignore the bad reviews. People just expect too much from a 3-star hotel.
The only downside which i feel I should mention is the transfer to the airport from this hotel. Where the hotel is situated a coach can't get down to it due to the narrow roads with cars parked either side, so it drops you off a 3 minute walk away up the street next to another hotel called the Tropicana.
It's not the hotels' fault, of course, but it's just a bit annoying.

Seeing the comments on Google, I admit I was a little scared... But ultimately when we arrived there we were very pleasantly surprised!
The cleanliness is impeccable, the hotel and the rooms smell very clean.
The location of the hotel is ideal, the beach is a few meters away and there are streets full of shops / restaurants / bars open until around 10 p.m.: ideal for a little evening stroll.
The hotel restaurant is certainly not gourmet but it remains an all-you-can-eat buffet with different choices. We have never been disappointed.
The swimming pool is not very big but for a stay in May it was more than enough.
The staff is very pleasant, a big thank you to the lady at reception who speaks French very well and who was very welcoming/smiling throughout the stay!
In short: for a 3 star hotel there is nothing to say. If you want luxury, opt for a 4-star hotel, which will probably be much less family-friendly.
