The hotel is family-friendly and offers entertainments/sport activities etc. throughout the whole day.
The location couldn't be better (one can hear and see the sea from a good number of rooms) and the sandy beach is just a minute-walk from the hotel.
The staff, including the receptionists, waiters/waitresses, animation team, etc. are all very friendly and supportive.
Foods & drinks were colorful and meet everyone's taste for sure.
The events in the evenings are very professional, and the performers give in everything, really.
The ANIMATION TEAM (with capital letters) is the best we've ever seen. It must be pretty challenging to take care of the guests each and every day, with a smile on your face, be always super friendly whilst you have a lot to do from early morning until late evening. The whole team was super, and we'd like to particularly thank Alessandro (Alpi Club) and "Mr. Catastrophe" all the laughs, jokes and the small chats.
The only weak point is the wifi in the rooms as the connection is very weak. However, this is a great opportunity to escape from the virtual world and enjoy the real life bit.
It's so sad that Mallorca has just been considered a so called risk area in Germany (and guests from the UK have been staying away for weeks now). Fingers crossed that the hotel survives this very challenging period as it is a must visit everyone.
See you there next year and thanks again for this lovely week!
Our room overlooked the beach, in a quiet area of the hotel. Some noise from neighbouring hotel with its entertainment at night which we embraced. Closing the patio door cut the noise out and it was usually finished before it was too late at night.
Food is an important part of our holiday and it was excellent & plentiful. Pizzas by pool especially! Evening meal we sometimes found a bit hectic which can be typical of AL, but was manageable. We ate later which helped.
Plenty of sun beds whatever time of day (British May half term). Towels could be changed twice a week, which didn’t bother us, towels in room changed each day which is more important. Rooms cleaned well and hotel was clean and tidy. Lovely open spaces and grounds.
Minutes walk to the beach and the enjoyable coastal walk which we called our nature walk. Our 3 year old grandson had the time of his life - highlights the water park, pool, play area and beach. We didn’t use children’s club, watch entertainment at night so can’t comment on those. Used the bar after dinner and had no problem getting served or with quality of drinks.
We used private transfer from airport which took approximately one hour.
We loved our week and look forward to returning as a family in the near future!
Overall decent all-inclusive hotel
Lots of room for improvement...
I find it abnormal that the non-alcoholic drinks points are not available 24/7
I'm not talking about the bar in the evening, complicated for the servers to keep up the infernal pace, preparing cocktails would be more than enough for them if non-alcoholic drinks were available.
The staff of the Tex Mex restaurant who were very friendly, the cleaning ladies also, the ladies from the entertainment. As for the rest, sorry but there is no smile or friendliness, special shout out to the Italian restaurant where all the servers are neither smiling nor pleasant, or even disrespectful…
The swimming pools are quite good even if some areas leave something to be desired, several places where there are broken deckchairs, abandoned parasols, etc.
The maintenance of the green spaces is superb, unfortunately I have the impression that the hotel stops at the tennis courts... if you want to go play on the football field further away you will have to close your eyes it is a waste disposal site ! Broken chairs and glasses litter the ground, tarpaulins lying around, a trailer, simply shameful.
The rooms are cleaned every day, becoming a little dated, the family room which is not one, the children sleep on a sofa bed, almost glued to the parental bed.
The main restaurant is of good quality, with varied and appetizing dishes for everyone to enjoy.
It’s a shame that the fruits served at the buffets are not available at snack time for children and parents, instead, cheap ice creams, when there are any!
Despite all this, the stay was pleasant and relaxing.
I will not return to this hotel, many things are much more interesting...
We went as a household family of 7 with two children under 7, two grandparents and an uncle with specific learning needs. One child was sleeping in the grandparents room, we travelled together and was together all holiday. However we was told we were not allowed to sit together in the dining room because there was 7 of us. Even though we saw several other families sitting together in the dining room (German and Spanish) we was told we had to sit outside however there was never any tables! Instead we was placed in the corner of the dining room in the sun!! Not good enough. We was also told we was not allowed to put our towels down at the pool because it was being cleaned!! (It wasn’t, as I checked during breakfast) This was by a very rude and dismissive maintenance man. Germans were allowed to smoke by a non smoking sign by the pool, and the lifeguard told us this was fine!!!!
They simply did not want us there!! They were clearly talking about us behind our backs and took advantage of the fact we could not speak Spanish! Made us feel so uncomfortable!!
There was however wonderful waiters and waitresses at the pool bar and Mexican bar area. They were lovely. There was also a very kind lady greeting us every evening for dinner.
The kids pool had some issues with sharp loose screws holding panels together which had clearly been there for a while but no attempt to fix. The kids playground was in a shocking state. I complained on the first day about sharp long wooden edges on the floor panels to the climbing frame. Any child could have got there foot lodged into it! The reception man did respond quickly to this by removing one of the panels however they did not fix the other dodgy panels during our whole stay.
We were supposed to go here last year but was cancelled due to Covid. We were so looking forward to it. The kids made the most of the pool and loved the tennis courts which were also fab. Sadly our trip was a disappointment due to the attitude we was shown during our stay.
We would not go back here, but to be honest, I don’t think they would want us back anyway because we were English. UK travel agents should not be promoting this hotel to British customers!
The things we thought could be improved were the kids pool bar being closed on Fridays. I’ve never known a pool bar to be closed in all inclusive hotel during peak season. The pool bars also didn’t seem to serve cocktails, only the inside bars after 6.30pm. There are 2 restaurants upstairs for your evening meal but we were confused as we were only ever directed to go into the left one, and we’re still unaware what the right one is for as no one told us. We felt that the hotel reception could be more informative with what they tell you upon arrival. We didn’t know that tennis was included if you’re all inclusive and mini golf was too, we had to go and ask. The ground around the kids splash pool needed a clean as it was green and slippery in places near the ramp. The glass screens between the California pool and the attached baby pool needed a good clean. The lifeguards are pointless too, one sat there clipping a walkie talkie onto their toes and another sat staring at their phone for ages. These are the things that we felt needed improving to maintain 4 stars.
Overall it was a great holiday, and we would recommend this hotel to families with kids, but definitely a few things that could be improved to make it stand out.
This year decided to return for the 7th time in ten years , just three small infidelities including last year .
So yes, why keep coming back to the same place?
Not too far by plane, from the sun, the sea and especially good food, and we eat well!
We all have different tastes and it is not easy to content so much nationality around a buffet.
One detail , alcoholic beverages are brand.
When we pay a lot for a 5* palace in Turkey or a 5* in Crete and you have local drinks, we pay our heads ..
The gardens are still beautiful , it remains our favorite place for quiet relaxation in the shade of palm trees.
Please , the deckchairs of the garden are to be replaced , many people like to be quiet in the gardens
Finally wifi everywhere , it was time .Especially for teens between dives in the pool .
The small changes: the pool bar mini club closed on Friday that I find strange in the period July-August , an inconvenience ..
No more Mexican table service, but I didn't mind a buffet.
The morning coffee maker we brought to the table for breakfast, what I missed, the coffee was good besides ..
More table service on the terrace during the evenings , a big change.
Okay it's less staff but it gave us friendliness between clients and servers, a smile , a little word , a little joke .. pity ..
The cups at night, I understand by the pools,
But in the evening when you have a cocktail and a soft and they tell you to go to the vending machine at the cup it's just not possible... we're not at the bar on the page..
On my 7 visits, six times we had a room near the tennis courts.
Older but quiet.
Out of luck here... the terrible building D
Ahhh the rooms are superb, for that I give a 10/10
But then in the evening, it's hellish , until midnight and half , we drag chairs somewhere , but not a little!! A Formula 1 Chair Grand Award.
Cleaning women always smiling we do not say enough
Always well received at reception , very competent.
Sad not to see the Rising Star of the waiters Antonio , who we couldn't wait to find every year.
I am not concerned anymore but I noticed a big activity of the mini club.
The Beach Club is a great place for families.
Little tip: There is a bus stop in front of Inn, 423 takes you into the center in 10 minutes.
1.8 euros if you buy your ticket online and 3 euros on the bus
The last bus back to the Hotel is to Son Moll at 21:40 otherwise the taxi will take you back for 13 euros
We found several pros: good food (including gluten-free), very helpful staff, both in the dining room and at reception.
Cons: premise that we were not looking for family hotel and entertainment we realized that this property is neither. Children of the other guests little followed, especially on rainy days, in the evening baby dance very late, international and little valued the Italian one.
For the older boys almost nothing was organized, they found themselves bivouacking in the farthest areas of the village completely alone, even in the evening.
Our room was really small for 4 people, we couldn't even place the suitcases, put so out in the balcony. Large wardrobe for 2 people, bathroom with bathtub, uncomfortable (considering that there are no bidets). The rooms around the pools are very noisy, really impossible to rest in the afternoon. Around the pools it is rarely cleaned, tourists who have all-inclusive (so rude) left everything around and until the evening, it was not collected or cleaned. Deposit to rent table tennis rackets, mini golf clubs and tennis rackets.
Cleaning at 7 a.m. around the pools with shower heads for the leaves, so you woke up necessarily early. Air conditioning in common areas and dining rooms kept at very low temperatures.
The village is located in a very isolated area, outside there are no bars or something to do differently. the bus and train run every 15/30 minutes. Inquire well about taxi routes because if you turn inside Sa Cala it costs very little, if you change country, the price is like our extraurban, so for 10 minutes by taxi, you also pay 15/20euro.
We must negatively review the experience with the tour operator Alpitour.
Good work.
