The Gaia Porto Hostel made us have a perfect stay. The house itself is a typical renovated Portuguese house and therefore has a really charming atmosphere. The rooftop terrace makes it perfect. It is really really clean and the owner and his family are amazing people. They are very very helpful and do everything to make you feel welcome. And...

The hostel is fantastic, even before arrival we received emails asking if we wanted transport to the hostel and to confirm arrival time. On arrival we received 5 star service and that continued for the three nights we stayed. The owner is a delight and very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this hostel and will definitely be back! Thank...

We stayed in a private room for three days. The room was perfectly clean and had a balcony with a view over the city center. The bathroom was excellent with a very nice shower. Furthermore, breakfast was very good, with every morning delicious homemade cake. Nonetheless, still the best part was that Joao, the owner, did his very best to...

The owner is super friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast is amazing. The shared bathroom was very clean. The environment is quiet, the bed cozy. The heart of Porto is close and you are able to enjoy the great view on the UNESCO site while crossing the bridge to the city or even better from the wonderful hostel...

The facilities (room, bathroom, kitchen) were all very clean and nice. Also the location of the hostel was fine. Although it is located at the other side of the bridge than the city centre, there were plenty of nice bars/restaurants nearby (next to the water). Also, it is only a 15 minute walk (over the bridge) to the centre

Our stay last weekend in Hostel Gaia Porto was fantastic. We were welcomed by the owner, which is very friendly man. He gave us many recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants which was great. The hostel itself was very clean, we had a room with a shared bathroom. Thank you so much for having us, we would definitely come back.

We arrived early and Joao allowed us to leave our luggage at the hostel before exploring the city. He gave us a lot of advice on what to do in Porto which was great. When we came back, our luggage was in the room and we were offered one glass of porto wine with a delicious slice of homemade cake....

We had a great stay. Took advantage of the free port tour. Breakfast was good but would have been nice to have something fresh...ie better fruit or boiled eggs. Room was clean and we were able to borrow an adaptor. Hosts very knowledgeable and accommodating. Would absolutely stay again but noticed afterwards that it was cheaper to book direct than...
