My mistake. Did not see that this hotel was pet friendly. Have allergy to dogs. There was a St. Bernard walking to the elevator. The rooms a nice size and bed was comfortable. Furniture was worn and soiled. Carpet had brown spots and needed a good vacuming. I had to use my inhaler to get thru the night. Will never... More

We thank you for taking the time to express your concerns during your stay. While we are a pet friendly hotel we do have certain floors set aside for our guest that have allergies to dogs. We certainly do take that into consideration when assigning rooms. We are hoping that you will return and stay in one of our non-pet... More

Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Nice clean large rooms. Convenient to restaurants and if you are young enough walking distance to lots of things. Breakfast could use improvement. Eggs were cold and tasteless, the rest was OK but ordinary but not bad enough to keep one away. Garage is extra right across the street but easy in and out... More

Came to Norfolk for an annual get away with my sisters. Chose this hotel based on proximity to things we had planned to do, the availability of a suite with a kitchen and a fair price. Pros - room was clean and mostly comfortable, staff was friendly and attentive, deck parking included in our rate, decent breakfast, super close to... More

Hotel is new and located in a perfect area for walking to restaurants. Everyone has been really nice. The breakfast is ok. No better or worse than other hotel breakfasts! Parking is right across the street (tiny street) and is $18/day but in and out

For three years, my husband commuted from Richmond to Norfolk. We stayed in the Residence Inn several times every month. I tele-commute, so I could do that there too. This became HOME. The rooms are super comfortable and provide cooking and working areas that work well. The service is next to none and the staff is wonderful. They have become... More

Choosing a room that does NOT front on Brambleton Ave is a good way to start your stay at the Residence Inn, Norfolk Downtown . The street is noisy and there's lots of rush hour (and sometime late night) traffic. I live in a city but this street was loud. If you don't have a pet, choose a room that... More

I was in town with my mom and sister while my dad was having surgery at nearby Sentara hospital. The location was very convenient, accommodations were excellent, and the service was excellent. Above all, the staff (in particular asst. Mgr. Theresa Thompson) was kind, courteous and so helpful. They made our difficult trip so much better. I highly recommend this... More

Staying here over Christmas was out of necessity, but having been here several times before (not at holiday times), we figured we knew what to expect. The Marriott staff did a GREAT job handling the holiday guests, and my compliments on everything working out well. My only little complaint is the $18 surcharge for using the community parking lot across... More
