The Acquavilla House turistic unit is settled on the recovered remains of two 18th century buildings (a 'lagar' - a press where olive oil used to be produced - and a water mill). The accommodations include two suites (equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave), four twin rooms and two twin rooms (of which one is prepared to receive guests with physical disabilities) and a vast outdoor space in a natural environment. The location is a central and privileged one, in the centre of Portugal, distancing 150km from the Lisbon airport and 150km from the Oporto airport. This territory welcomes you with an open spirit and offers you "the best of two worlds": the restlessness of the coastline and the serenity of the mountains, the majesty of nature and the nobility of culture, the authenticity of tradition and the innovation of tradition and the innovation of the modern, the magic of the unknown and the comfort of the hospitality. From Acquavilla there are several important places/ to visit : Coimbra, Tomar, Batalha, Alcobaça (all four categorized as Cultural Heritage by Unesco), and Figueira da Foz, Nazaré, Penela, Soure, Porto de Mós, Leiria e Montemor-o-Velho.

We had a lovely stay at Acquavilla. We were warmly greeted by Milene, whose English was excellent and whose smile made us feel welcome. Fernando, the owner, was also a wonderful host. He took us on a tour of the grounds, showing us the gardens, the pond, the ancient mill stones and the beautiful old buildings. He also treated us to a tasting of his liqueurs, having us guess which herbs, fruits or flavors he used to create them. What a delightful way to end an evening! Breakfast was also a delight, with fresh pastries and a tray full of the fruits of the farm. Fantastic! This is a place unlike any other where we have stayed, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. We will definitely return; I know my sister will love the gardens and my son will admire the clever architecutral adaptation of the old mill, creating a modern accomodation within the old structure. A truly unique experience, and one I highly recommend.

Built on an old water mill the space keeps the form and adapts the functionality to welcome guest. You'll be surprised with the details that are fully explained.
This is a very nice, simple and enthusiastic place to stay. In house you have several different areas to stay and enjoy nature, hear the birds singing and not only! The real nature silence (which is no silence at all but has no city sounds).
Nearby you can go to several different walks and enjoyable bath at Fraga de S.Simao.
People at Acquavilla will welcome and support you in any away you need, giving you the best directions, best spots, preparing you very tasty food using their farm ingredients which are the tastiest you can get.
Don't miss it!

Very nice hotel. Very good service and hospitality from Ines la Hostess. I think they should improve the atmosphere of the rooms. Bedding can be improved. Have more pillows for my taste. We had a bee problem but Ines fixed it in time. I couldn't get the AC down to 24 C.
